with Photographer Abdel Rahman Gabr-Koree and Fashion Designer Norine Farah to give us a Stunning Series of Portrait photos taken by Huawei P10 plus In another one of their much anticipated affiliations, Huawei team up with Photographer and Filmmaker Abdel Rahman Gabr-koree and fashion Designer Norine Farah to produce a stunning series of photographs using the Huawei P10 plus. Koree’s biggest challenge was to produce images with very high quality to be used in Huawei’s campaign, and the P10 plus camera quality proved just that! The entire shoot was taken using Huawei P10 plus with the second generation Lieca Dual Lens Camera. Each photography series mimics the stunning colors of the new smartphones which are gold, black and blue. In addition, the scenery was set amidst gorgeous and monumental areas around Cairo. Koree chose to apply three main features of P10 Plus camera that are truly exceptional in terms of quality and innovation; Night Mode, Portrait Mode, and Monochrome. “I thought it would be a challenge to have an entire photoshoot using a smartphone camera but I was actually surprised how the camera handled different modes exceptionally well. For example, the night mode takes multiple exposures and blends it automatically, perfecting the picture with one click of a button,” explained Koree Designer Norine Farah was impressed with the photoshoots final results: “It was great experience designing garments to reflect the aesthetic design and beautiful colors of Huawei P10 and P10 Plus,” said Farah. “Having worked with Huawei before on previous P series devices, I was determined to design gowns with many small details because I was confident they will stand with the great camera quality, which is exactly what happened,” added Farah. “The photoshoot, in my opinion, was a great success displaying professional and quality images. We chose locations to represent the three vibrant colors of Gold, Blue and Black, seamlessly displaying the beauty and intensity of the golden ornaments in al Moez Street, the clarity of the Sofitel blue infinity pool and the black steel bars winding around el Korba Street.” Added Koree With their all new P10 and P10 Plus, Huawei proves that consumers are just one touch away from delivering the perfect portrait. WHERE THERE’S A WILL THERE’S A WAY I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about Nelly Karim’s hit TV serial Le A’la Se’er and how the emotional trauma the character she played (Gamila) experienced was able to motivate her to be a better person. Regardless of the drama that occurred in the serial and the infidelity, I find it very inspiring to see what you are capable of achieving when you have a great motivation or serious will to accomplish something. Motivation is the key word, it is what makes us wake up every morning looking up to a new day, it is why we breathe, and it is why we live. It is vital to always feel motivated and have something in mind to look up to. Live for an aim put it before your eyes and do what it takes to reach it that is what really gives life its meaning. The day you wake up and couldn’t feel motivated to go
to work then change your job, if you are going out with friends and you don’t feel excited to see them then you need to reconsider your relationship. The glow in our eyes and the adrenaline we feel when we are close to reach our goals is what really is worth living for. Look up to something big and do all what it takes to reach it and if you did, create another harder target and start the game again, life needs action and change of blood and there is nothing worth that more than working on yourself, start with a serious decision to quit smoking, losing weight (which we all need after Ramadan), learning more languages or master a skill you’ve always wanted to learn, or even learn playing on a musical instrument. This will make you feel better about yourself and see life from a different perspective.

The two met Wednesday in India at a premiere for Pitt’s new satirical Netflix movie War Machine and took part in a moderation discussion about the movie business in their countries. “I would never make it in Bollywood because I can’t dance,” Pitt said. “I can’t. I can’t.” “We’ll make you dance in Bollywood,” Khan said. “We make everyone dance in Bollywood.” “Singing and dancing has to stay [in Bollywood] so that we keep Brad away from Bollywood,” he later joked.

Jim Carrey may have to face a trail jury in the wrongful death case regarding his late girlfriend and makeup artist Cathriona White.The 30-year-old—who dated the actor on and off for three years—was found dead in her Los Angeles home in September 2015 in what coroners later ruled was a suicide from an overdose of painkillers, including Ambien, Propranolol and Percocet.White’s mother, Brigid Sweetman, sued Carrey in October 2016, blaming him for her death and claiming he gave her the drugs that eventually killed her, according to court documents. Carrey and his lawyer,argued the allegations under drugs legislation were likely to fall outside the statute of limitations and said the wrongful death claims were too vague. However, the Judge said she still needs more time to consider the case.
Tom Cruise Confirms ‘Top Gun’ Sequel Is ‘Definitely Happening’ He feels the need, the need for speed! Tom Cruise confirmed that the much-talked-about Top Gun sequel is “definitely happening.” The Mission: Impossible star revealed the good news while promoting his new film, The Mummy, in an interview. “It’s true,” he said. “I’m going to start filming it probably in the next year. I know, it’s happening. It’s definitely happening.” Cruise, 54, is set to reprise his role in the hit film, playing fighter pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. The follow up to the 1986 action film will be titled Top Gun: Maverick. Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski is circling the project, which will follow fighter pilots grappling with new drone technologies that are making their old style of flying obsolete. Cruise said the film will shoot within a year.

Zac Efron has been cast as infamous serial killer Ted Bundy in an upcoming psychological thriller. The film is titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, and will be told from the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer. True crime fanatics will remember Kloepfer as the one who turned Bundy into authorities, though she continued to date him despite her growing suspicion that Bundy was involved in the disappearances of multiple young women in the 1970s. Producer Nicolas Chartier described Efron as the “perfect” actor to take on the role, telling Deadline, “He can play both the depth and the charm that this guy had in equal measures, and which allowed him to manipulate these women in such a terrifying way.”

All relationships have these ups and downs and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. The trick is how to manage the “downs” so they don’t destroy your relationship altogether. Successful couples are those that find ways to manage the bumps in their LOUNGE 18
relationship so that they can still remain close and connected. 5 BE CREATIVE Doing the same thing over and over again can get boring and predictable. Get creative with how you invest in your partner. Do something new every once in a while to show them you still care about impressing them and winning their heart. When you invest your creativity, it not only shows thoughtfulness; it creates surprise and excitement. Positive feelings like this are sometimes just the spark that you need to get back. Also with creativity comes the challenge to continue to learn about the person you love, and this is something that we tend to neglect after a while. So don’t just fall back into a safe routine. Show your partner you are still eager to learn about them. 6 EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE You may see this one as a given, but it is not. People tend to get a little too comfortable as time goes by and they become less concerned with expressing their love to their partner. This is not intentional most of the time, but it does happen regardless of being intentional or not. People do this because they become too confident. They know they love their partner and that their partner loves them and use that as their security. While knowing that you love your partner is great, it will not be enough to make your relationship last in a happy way. People need to know that they are loved and not taken for granted. Tell your partner how much he/she means to you, write something nice in a card and give it to him/her, set a date to take him/her to a place you know you two will enjoy. It doesn’t require much effort to show your love to your partner, but the rewards for doing this will be extremely beneficial to your relationship. 7 FREEDOM AND SPACE Give your partner freedom and personal space. That doesn’t mean the kind of freedom where you are both allowed to behave recklessly towards your relationship, but freedom in a way that lets both you and your partner to continue to be individuals. As a couple you will be one, but outside that you two will still be individuals who will need to
continue to discover more about yourselves as people. You both have different things you like and will want to pursue them. Do not cling to each other so tight and do not control your partner or let your partner control you. Controlling is not an expression of how much your partner loves you. It is a selfish thing and it is robbing a person of having a relationship with themselves. Having this kind of space will also make you have more to share with each other after doing different and separate things. 8 MAKE PLANS FOR AN ABROAD TRIP WITHOUT CHILDREN Renew your relationship and get back to what it was before having children. Plan everything ahead for a trip and schedule things that must get done before that like hiring sitters or sending the children to your parents if possible so that the two of you can spend quality time together without being worried. The challenge for some couples is the belief that they cannot find the time or cannot find someone to rely on for taking care of children. You need to do this in order to invest in your primary relationship on which everything else rests. It’s a small investment whatever the effort and plans that you have to do in order to make it work, but it will be so worth it.

It was a complete surprise to have been nominated but “It`s a double title & also I have double feelings toward this type of awards; feeling of honor to be a role model to your peers but at the same time it`s a great responsibility to establish, maintain and teach values and ethics for upcoming generations regarding the social role” Dr. Alanany said. What is the best age psychologically and practically for doing a plastic surgery? Plastic surgery works with every age and every stage of life. If someone is in a need to make a change in his/her appearance, whether a teen or grandma, plastic surgery can help. Patients in their 20s typically want different treatments than patients in their 30s, 40s, or beyond. Tell us more about SIMOE... SIMOE is the Italian Society for Medical & Operative Aesthetics. Also, traditional sports are my pleasure. In addition to that, I like to visit the historical places, make an adventure to get a rare unique experience (Skydiving is a great option), and travel to discover different cultures & societies. What is your advice to patients when choosing the right plastic surgeon? “Any doctor with a medical degree can perform surgery and call themselves a cosmetic surgeon..!” Dr. Alanany said. However, it takes up to ten years of specialist training to become a qualified Plastic Surgeon and have your training recognized by, not only the local scientific institutions but also the global academies and world`s top universities. The Royal College of Surgeons in England is one of the most respected institutions all over the world to get its fellowship. Only these surgeons can use the letters FRCS, fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, after their names. This is the same college that trains other specialist surgeons such as neurosurgeons & cardiac surgeons. I strongly suggest that you should only consider plastic surgeons trained to these standards. In addition, doctor reputation for his outstanding surgical skills and training, and also for his interest in his patient`s complete medical well being. The result is a smoother, clearer and more youthful appearance to your skin. Skin rejuvenation is a treatment to resurface your skin, or to improve the texture, clarity and overall appearance of your skin. Mai Daw, Chantal Fouad, Israa Galal and Shaimaa Sultan tell us all about how their passion for staying fit turned into a career, their fitness classes, and their tips on how to stay in shape.

Tell us more about you… My name is Mai Daw, 32 years old. I am married and a mother of a boy and a girl. I am currently a proud member of Bfit founded by Aly Mazhar. I took my first certificate 4 years ago. You are from an athletic family; tell us more about that… I’m born to a very athletic father and family where sports for us were never a hobby, but rather a lifestyle. Both my father and uncle where diving champions and this got me closer and passionate to the game at a very young age. I almost stopped all kind of sports during the 4 years of university, and I’m glad now that I’m back and not just as a player, but as a coach. How was the shift from a passionate diver to being a fitness instructor? I loved diving but it was never my choice. As I told you my father was a champion so I was literally in the swimming pool. What I do now is my real passion and it feels incredible to be able to inspire others and help them transform their life style to the better. I’m really grateful for what I had achieved so far and I believe it’s God’s will to put me in this direction, and I can only lovingly say that God put blinders on my life in terms of what I could accomplish and be capable of. Because if I would have looked up and said to somebody “I am going to be a coach”, they wouldn’t have believed me. As soon as I started, I knew it was my real passion. Being a Bootybarre Coach, would you share with us more about this fitness routine? I wouldn’t classify it as a routine; I’d rather say it’s an enjoyable workout that concentrates on women’s body. I comfortably say it is always my happy hour and the formula for a stress free life. What is its effect in toning the body? Aside from the health perspective which everyone can read about, in brief, for me it’s a continuous wake up call to muscles of your body which simply reflects on the overall health. You make sure you enjoy a healthier look. It’s very important to understand your body acknowledged the messages you receive with care. Your classes have a very inspiring aura which keeps your clients engaged in the routine and turn it into addiction, how do you manage to do so? It’s all about the energy and passion you give for people working out around you. This is not a job for me; again it’s my happy moment where I give the chance to all negative energy to exit my body. By the way, you don’t need to train like a professional athlete to reap the benefits of the exercise, just simply do the best you can and enjoy it. It will definitely pay off. You are a mother of two; do they share the same fitness passion like you? Ali so far is following his father’s family passion for tennis, as his grandfather is Ismail Shafe, our former tennis champion. Tamara is still 4 years old, but for sure she will be guided carefully to embrace sports like her family. How do you manage to keep them fit? I try my best to keep them healthy and provide them with proper environment, and most importantly teach them how sports will make them become better people on so many levels. I trust that if I succeeded in doing that, all will come naturally as they grow. Is kids’ fitness routine different from adults? Indeed it is. Actually it is crucial to understand that there are certain dosages for each age to avoid out burning them early. Being out of Ramadan and Eid vacations, what are your tips for girls who gain extra weight during the holy month? It’s never too late, all you need to do is commit, enjoy what you are doing and trust yourself you will exceed your capabilities and expectations.

Tell us more about you… I’m 24 years old, a Sagittarius, group fitness, Zumba toning and jumping fitness instructor. I teach Zumba, it’s an absolute blast a lot more fun than running on the treadmill or teetering along on the elliptical. How did your love for staying fit turn from a lifestyle to a career? I used to play ballet for 8 years then I started to attend fitness classes so my fitness level has improved and it became my obsession. As I used to work as an account executive for 2 years I thought of quitting my job and I did! Since then I took Zumba as a career. I was happy I’m no longer stuck in an office for more than 8 hours daily. You are qualified for Zumba Basic and Zumba Toning could you tell us more about the difference between both? Zumba Toning incorporates weighted toning sticks to the Zumba workout that participants use almost like maracas. The toning sticks function like dumbbells to act as resistance weights. People can use dumbbells up to 3 pounds for the class, but the toning sticks, which are available in different weights, are better for Zumba class because they’re filled with sand and move with you. Zumba is a fitness program inspired by dance moves and was created by Alberto Perez aka Beto a Columbian dancer and choreographer. It is often mistaken to be a dance form, but the word “Zumba” has no particular meaning, it was just chosen to be a brand name for the fitness program. It is a cardio activity, interval training program and the duration of class is about 60 minutes that include 12-15 songs from dance styles such as salsa, merengue, cumbia, hip hop, belly dance, bhangra and much more! Calorie burning at a Custom Pace: Even the Zumba routines with the greatest emphasis on strength training are at their core a calorie and fat burning exercise. Not all participants have the ability to burn calories at the same pace. One great thing about Zumba is the dance moves can be modified to match a participant’s fitness, coordination, and ability. Full Body Workout: New Zumba routines are being created all the time. While it’s best to stick with a routine until the participant has it down, it’s also important to move on to a new routine once the body has become accustomed to an old one. Since Zumba routines draw from so many different types of dances, it’s always possible to find one that focuses on a different part of the body. What distinguishes Zumba from any other fitness routine? Greater Coordination: Even the fittest workout rats can have two left feet. Unlike many other workout routines learning the dancing moves in Zumba can greatly improve coordination. Greater Confidence: Zumba routines, thanks to their dancing roots, can lower inhibitions (in a good way). Zumba will improve your posture, which will naturally increase your
confidence, and slowly mastering routine after Zumba routine will increase your confidence in a Zumba class and everywhere else. Does Not Feel Like Exercise: Countless testimonials (including some described below) from converted Zumba devotees have mentioned how doing a Zumba workout is more fun than it is exercise. If you like to dance, Zumba will feel like dancing. If you like to work out, well, Zumba will still feel like dancing. Of course, this is not to say that Zumba does not offer many health benefits, as nothing could be further from the truth. It’s simply that the energy and confidence one gains from Zumba weighs much more heavily on the mind during a workout than the hundreds of calories that are being burned. You are very energetic and your classes full of positive vibes, how do you manage to maintain this spirit? I just take my energy from my students. What is your eating routine to stay fit and energetic? I start the day with breakfast to give me the energy and nutrients I need for exercise. I count on the right carbs, I add protein into my snacks and meals, I boost my fruit and veggies intake, adding healthy fats, fueling up before exercising and dinner. As you settle into an active lifestyle, you’ll probably discover which foods give you the most energy and which have negative effects. The key is learning to listen to your body and balancing what feels right with what’s good for you. Follow these tips: Aim to make breakfast a part of your routine. Choose complex carbohydrates, lean protein sources, healthy fats, and a wide variety of fruits and veggies. Stock your fridge and gym bag with healthy workout snacks. The right balance of carbohydrates, protein, and other nutrients can help fuel your exercise routine. Don’t forget balance is key. Could practicing regularly redeem what we eat even if it is unhealthy food? The truth is that an hour workout will not compensate for an unhealthy diet .Even if you lose weight and like how you look, exercise alone will not give you the vitality, energy and health you truly desire. A lot of celebrities attend your classes would you share with us some of the names? Sherry Adel and Dina El Sherbiny. Could men practice Zumba or is it only for ladies? The founder is a man! They can for sure. What are your tips to amateurs who want to teach Zumba? Play a variety of international rhythms (Bollywood, Middle Eastern, African, etc) in addition to Latin and Pop. Learn how to cue both verbally and with gestures. No need to chatter the whole time, but enough to keep people checked in and following you. As an instructor, I don’t like the classes where the instructors just dance and never cue...like it’s a performance. Tell us more about you… I’m 38 years old, a mother of three, and a proud Leo. I graduated from Sacre-Coeur French School, followed by a bachelor degree at AUC in economics and a minor degree in Art to feed my passion for painting and design. That is my main domain, I design furniture. How did your love for staying fit turn from a lifestyle into a career? Working out was always one of my favorite hobbies, I would work out whenever I’m free or stressed out. I like many types of sports, I played tennis, volleyball, basketball, I also had a phase where I was doing a lot of “cross fit”, “insanity”, “plyonetrics”, and last but not least “Zumba” and I still do them regularly. I like fitness, not only the workout but the knowledge, I love to read about fitness and research it to teach myself. My passion for Zumba started from the fact that I love to work out and I love Latin music. What kind of fitness routine you enjoy teaching the most? Zumba is this perfect combination of amazing Latin tunes synchronized with fun moves, a mixture of Latin moves with some other fitness moves. The combination should result in a fun and easy to follow choreography, not too complicated and this is what a good instructor needs to do, plus a lot of positive energy of course. Zumba is all about the latter! What makes a perfect trainer? I never thought I would be instructor; actually it came by coincidence when I decided to take a Zumba instructor course for adults for fun, then I got hooked. I then decided to do the Zumba kids course because I found that there is a lot of interest about it amongst Egyptians. So now I teach zumba part time, but actually I’d love to instruct many other fitness classes as well. The image of a woman trainer in the past was a very masculine non feminine girl unlike the way we see female trainers now, how do you mange to keep the balance between staying healthy, fit and beautiful the way you are? Fitness should be a life style for everyone. Stay away from fad diets, the results never last. Stay fit, eat everything and enjoy everything in moderation. But just stay active that is my advice. What are the faux-pas that women do when hitting the gym? There is no such thing as spot reduction. When you lose weight you lose from everywhere, but since some people tend to gain weight in certain parts of their bodies more than others, working the muscle of that part tones it and makes it look more shaped and lean. But it doesn’t actually lose more weight than other parts. So when you hit the gym you need to combine cardio as part of your work out. Dedicate for instance 2/3 of your working out time, then the rest of the time you do some toning and strength with mild weight or body weight in order to shape up moderately. Most machines in the gym could be bad for the joints if not used properly so you need to take the advice from a qualified trainer to know how to use them. What are the biggest myths you heard women saying regarding staying fit? “I gain weight when I go to the gym”. This is a myth that I hear a lot, or “I work out a lot but I don’t lose weight!” There is no way you work out a lot and not lose weight! You must
be doing something wrong, either in your diet, your eating habits, or your working out routine. It could be not effective; so you might need advice on how to do the right routine to fit your needs. If you do all of the above correctly and still don’t lose weight, then you need to get some blood tests done, as you could be having a health condition. You could also be gaining muscle mass, which is excellent because it will help you increase your metabolism eventually. So getting heavier because of muscle mass is way better than losing muscle mass! No excuses move as much as you can and eat healthy, this might sound boring advice but it is simply true! What is your eating routine to stay fit and energetic? I personally can never follow a strict diet! I could never deprive myself for long from the food that I like, which is one of the reasons why I love to move, to earn my treats. I think the secret is in the portions you take of anything! Moderate portions of anything is beneficial, or in other words too much of anything is bad. Even the healthy foods actually, unless you have a health condition where you need to limit the intake of certain foods. Just eat fruits and veggies, proteins in moderation, have your cheese and your milk and even indulge in occasional treats. But just stay active, this is what I do. What are your tips to amateurs who want to be professional fitness trainers? Just take it to the next level and get certified. Read about it and constantly research how it evolves. What seems to be good today may not be beneficial tomorrow. Health and fitness constantly evolve due to research and our ever evolving needs.

I used to work out like 6 days per week for 2 hours. I stayed doing this for 6 years while I was working at a pharmaceutical company, then I decided to quit and change my career. I took a certificate and then I started. You are specialized in spinning and TRX, why did you choose them in particular? I chose spinning because I love riding bikes this is my passion and indoor cycling (spinning) is the same idea and TRX is a great toning for a whole body using your body weight, so I do cardio and toning at the same time What is your technique in order to keep your clients engaged in the class, and never lose their passion? Every time I have to prepare my class from A to Z. Prepare the music and everything because changing is important so that the class will not be boring and they should feel that there is a change every time. What is your eating routine to stay fit and energetic? I eat everything in small quantities. Never make your body craving to anything. Everything is important carbs, proteins and even fats.

A new study assesses the impact of social jet lag on overall health.Previous studies have suggested that social jet lag may have negative health consequences. Some have linked it to obesity, while others have suggested that social jet lag may raise the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Researchers evaluated social jet lag using the Sleep Timing Questionnaire, and they calculated it by subtracting the weekday sleep midpoint from the weekend one.The study revealed associations between social jet lag and worse mood, sleepiness, and fatigue, as well as poorer overall health.

They are said to improve performance and speed up recovery and as such, have become a trendy, must-have item for many athletes.But new research has put paid to the wilder claims of some sportswear manufacturers, revealing that compression tights do not help runners run further or faster.The study, funded by Nike, found that although such garments greatly reduce muscle vibration, they play no part in reducing muscle fatigue when compared to running without them. Researchers stated that when your muscle vibrates, it induces a contraction that uses energy, so the theory was that less muscle vibration would translate to less fatigue. However, the reduced vibration was not associated with any reduction in fatigue at all. In our study, runners performed the same with and without compression tights. Top athletes such as Paula Radcliffe are often seen running in such tights, long said to hold muscles firmly in place, therefore improving circulation and hence, performance.

How did you manage to be the managing director at such a young age? I have always been a driven and passionate person, when I set myself goals failure is not an option and I love to take on new challenges. I have never seen PR as a job; it’s always been a talent and a passion, a way of life that’s all about communicating both in my personal and professional life. My love for PR has allowed me to excel and given me the drive to work hard, very hard, without ever feeling that I wasn’t enjoying it. Tell us more about POD and what does it stand for? POD stands for “Point of Differentiation” and we are all about being different. I joined the company just over a year ago, with a vision to make a change in the market. PR had become stagnant; we were lagging way behind the international scene. The media landscape was changing, communication needs were evolving, but PR agencies were not responding to the market needs. This was the gap POD would fill, this was the point of differentiation, we would offer. It took a lot of hard work and I mean real hard work and commitment from top management who worked tirelessly to establish the company. We worked hard to communicate our vision to the market, a 360 vision of the future of communications focusing on shared media and integrated communications including PR, media relations, event management, digital marketing and media buying. Being a part of the conglomerate Egyptian Media Group (Aa’lam El Masryeen) what does that add to you as a Public Relations and Marketing Company? We are also working with several ministries to support national projects designed to strengthen the country’s economy and development as well. On a personal level, I offer media relations training and PR consultancy to both university students and young entrepreneurs. I often provide free sessions and consultancy because I am passionate about the industry and seeing a new generation of innovate communicators enter the market. Give us a close snapshot on POD’s most impactful campaigns. We have done a lot of positive work from creating a buzz to repositioning brands. We were proud to be the creative mind behind Lipton’s viral sensation masboot ala masr, when they launched their new tea blend; we worked with OPPO and Cairo Festival City Mall on the last edition of the Cairo Fashion Festival, which was an amazing success. More recently we worked on the PR for the first Beach Polo event in El Gouna and of course the launch of Mountain View’s second iCity project in 6th of October; which was a massive success and brought together Egypt’s biggest businessmen, media and celebrities. What distinguishes your company from any other PR and Marketing agency? Many things; we are different that’s for sure, we are looking to do things in a new way and that starts with flat management and giving our teams the support to take the lead. Then there is dedication and commitment, POD is not a team it’s a family and we go the extra mile every time, because we believe in our partners and know that their success and ours are synonymous. Then there is our 24 hour consultancy, we are literally online 24/7 and when a client needs us, they will always find someone to provide the consultancy and

How do you measure the effectiveness of a communication campaign? There are many factors that we use to assess how effective a campaign is but for us changing perceptions and effectively re-positioning a brand are the true hallmarks of success. What inspires you to promote any campaign? And what do you do if you run out of ideas? We believe in our clients, because to us they are partners. Their campaigns, their services and products are things we are passionate about. We are not a service provider, we are part of each and every company we work with, which allows us to be passionate about every activity we undertake as well as understanding and feeling the daily pressure and responsibility our clients carry with them on a daily basis. As for ideas, I have to say it’s never happened to us before. We are blessed to have a team of amazing young, creative, innovative and
out of the box thinkers. In fact our dynamic of young juniors and more experienced seniors is what allows us to keep our ideas fresh whilst still being mindful of key strategic elements. What are the challenges that you face nowadays? I think it’s the same for most agencies out there; the client wants the world and everything in it on a shoe string budget, but that’s the reality we are living in now, you just have to find the middle ground. How did the current economical situation affect you? For us the situation has meant we need to be more innovative and in any industry in times of challenge, its innovation that leads to ongoing success. So, we have shifted in terms of the focus of PR, companies are looking to reputation management more than promotional activities and more interested in developing their corporate brand identity as an umbrella for their products and services. How do you see the economical situation in Egypt in the future? I am very positive about the outlook for Egypt and as we are taking part in many of the government programs I know that the government is taking great steps to support the development of the country; focusing on the growth of the industrial sector, opening new markets for tourism, offering new investment opportunities for local and foreign investors and supporting the expansion of SME’s in the market. What is your advice to young people who want to start their own business in the field nowadays Go for it! The communications sector is growing exponentially and people are finally starting to understand how powerful the PR sector is.

n a world where SUV’s segment is the fastest growing one and is undoubtedly on-trend, MINI Egypt has recently launched the newest iteration of its line-up models, the all-new COUNTRYMAN, in the local market. The “big MINI” which first introduced seven years ago, now evolved to become the biggest and most versatile model in the British brand’s history. It is patently obvious that MINI COUNTRYMAN is cruising into its second generation with a more mature character combined with exterior and interior refinements. In other words, it’s bigger and better groomed inside and out, compared to the model it replaced. In fact, though the previous COUNTRYMAN was one of the company’s strongest sellers – over 500,000 units had been sold since 2010 – MINI is pinning high hopes on the second iteration to continue the success they had with the first one. In adopting UKL2 platform which means the new model is 200mm longer and 30mm wider than the old one, five fully-fledged seats and a versatile, yet modern interior, the new MINI COUNTRYMAN meets all the requirements of the compact class in terms of functionality and everyday practicality in its unique way. Of course, without compromising the typical MINI proportions. The matured character of the new COUNTRYMAN is clearly reflected in dimensions, bearing in mind that the new model is the biggest and most practical MINI yet to hit the production. The new model’s cargo capacity is, by all means, the largest of all MINI’s line-up models. It offers 450 liters and can be extended to 1390 liters, which means it is 100 liters bigger than before!

Significant tweaks inside and out!
On the strength of its exterior lines which received a more rugged and masculine SUV look, one can say that the all-new COUNTRYMAN will sweep you off your feet with its drool-inducing design! Compared with the previous model, the newest iteration is 200 mm longer, 30 mm wider and rolls on a wheelbase that has been extended by 75 mm. It is worth noting saying that the 2017 COUNTRYMAN is the undisputed king of the entire MINI line-up models, at least regarding its size. The second-generation COUNTRYMAN is longer than the new CLUBMAN by 38 mm, wider by 20 mm and 116 mm taller, though both models are sharing the same 2670 mm wheelbase. These new dimensions can be translated to a better MINI go-kart feeling, let alone offering better cornering maneuvers. Aside from the powerful proportions, the latest MINI COUNTRYMAN is leveraging from many exterior highlighted features. Headlining the changes are the long bonnet; a bulbous rear-end with a longer rear overhang; upright taillights; a hexagonal radiator grille; LED headlights with an outer daytime light ring for the first time; LED fog lights and rear fog lights; an arrow-like side turns indicator and roof rails in satin-finished aluminum.
With more room and assortment of refinements, the new COUNTRYMAN’s interior has taken a significant step forward from the previous generation. One can trace the high-quality materials used in many places in the COUNTRYMAN’s cockpit; the amalgam of brushed inserts and premium gloss black panels can be easily spotted. Still, the new mini-SUV provides a sufficient and comfortable room for five passengers. This means, at the rear, there are three fullyfledged seats, not to mention that it is now possible not only to adjust the height of the front passenger seat but to adjust the rear seats as well! The rear seats also slide and recline to extend the interior space. Likewise, both driver and front passenger are benefiting from extended head and shoulder space, compared to the old car. MINI once again adopts its familiar paddle and toggle switches layout. But, for the first time, the rectangular central TFT screen mounted on the round central element, 6.5inch screen. The latter display is offered as standard fittings via the Radio MINI Visual Boost feature. Also, there is a full-length central console with an electric parking brake attached to it. Among the other interior highlights are the circular central instrument with LED lighting ring that provides a lighting
display in response to driving situations; the various storage compartments with two cup holders; a front armrest and finally, a center armrest in the rear.

The standard SALT edition leverages from an automatic air condition; LED headlights and daytime running lights; LED fog lights and rear fog light; electric parking brake; MINI Connected packagewith 6.5 inch screen; English and Arabic on-board documentation; 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tires; roof rails;RearParking sensors;MINI Driving Modes; Foldable mirrors; height adjustment for front passenger seat and seat adjustment for the rear seats; multifunction sport leather steering wheel; automatic lock when driving away and, finally, on-board computer in the central instrument. The CHILI edition adds the following to the previous trim features: An oversized panoramic sunroof; an advanced navigation system with 3D maps;MINI Touch controller and touch screen 8.8 inch; a comfort access system; sports seats in the front section; a sun protection glazing and 18-inch alloy wheels, among others. Moreover, like the Open Timer function equipped to the all-new MINI CONVERTIBLE, the COUNTRYMAN offers a Country Timer feature. The latter is a software function that displays the duration of driving on rough tracks, such as on slippery, tilted, and unpaved roads. The British marque also installed an assortment of safety technologies into its new mini-SUV. The newCOUNTRYMAN is equipped with a standard anti-lock system (ABS); Cornering Brake Control (CBC); Dynamic Stability Control system (DSC); Dynamic Traction Control (DTC); Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC); Rear Park Distance Control (PDC) and Cruise Control with braking function, among others. Statistically speaking, the new COUNTRYMAN can accelerate from Zero to 100km/h in 9.6 seconds.
