Based on true events, Evita tells the story of Eva Perón’s rags-to-riches life as she goes from poor provincial child to First Lady of Argentina. Enjoy iconic songs, including “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina.” This musical masterpiece won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. The King & I at Drury Lane
British tutor Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam struggle with cultural differences after Anna arrives at the royal palace in Bangkok. Inspired by true events, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I is a tale of the human experience, exploring the historical intricacies of class, race, and politics in 1862. Featuring beloved songs like “Shall We Dance?” and “Getting to Know You,” this Rodgers and Hammerstein classic won 13 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical. The 1957 movie adaptation was nominated for nine Academy Awards, winning five, including Best Score. Holocaust Museum Skokie, Illinois Car & Auto Show McCormick Place, Chicago
Join us for an afternoon at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. The mission of Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is expressed in their founding principle: Remember the Past, Transform the Future. The Museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust by honoring the memories of those who were lost and by teaching universal lessons that combat hatred, prejudice, and indifference. Many exhibits will be open and available for you to enjoy during our selfguided tour. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a boxed lunch of corned beef, pickle, fresh fruit cup, cole slaw, bottled water and a chocolate chip cookie. Please note there is a lot of walking on this tour. First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. The 2022 Chicago Auto Show utilizes nearly 500,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space in the West Building of McCormick Place and another 150,000 sq. ft. of exhibits, activations and test drives on Indiana Ave. It’s a fun day to walk around and check out all of the cars, demonstrations and displays. Fee covers transportation and ticket. Lunch is on your own. There’s a lot of walking on this tour.
Stained Glass Blowing & Lunch, Patterson Glass Studio Mundelein, Illinois
Come join us as we head out to Patterson Glass Studio where we will have a private stained glass blowing demonstration by Peter Patterson. This 1- to 2-hour demonstration class consists of a tour of the studio, background on Peter, demonstration of various pieces he’ll make right before your eyes and time for Q&A along with some shopping. Please be sure to wear long sleeves, long pants and closed-toed shoes. After our time at the studio, we’ll head out for lunch at a nearby restaurant (TBD) where you can order off the menu and pay on your own. St. Patrick’s Day Lunch & Shopping in Naperville
Quigley’s Irish Pub was designed and built in Ireland and then shipped to its current location. The interior includes an authentic antique fireplace and bookcases from Dublin, and custom glass and Irish prints fill the walls. Perfect time of year to have fish & chips or shepherd’s pie for lunch on your own! Short walk to downtown Naperville for some shopping after lunch. Trip Includes transportation only. Deadline: 03/05.

Based on the classic Bill Murray comedy, “Groundhog Day: The Musical” is full of “fertile and feverish theatrical imagination,” The New York Times raved. Nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score, Paramount Theatre is beyond proud to present the Midwest regional premiere of this uproariously funny, surprisingly touching and simply inspirational musical comedy.
