MAKING A NAME FOR HERSELF

GRACE DING, Middle School Student of the Year, was shocked when she heard she had been nominated for Student of the Year. The Glasgow Middle School eighth-grader said she thought her biggest accomplishment would be reaching her career aspirations.

“I want to be an astrobiologist, and I hope I can find life somewhere not on Earth,” Grace said.

However, the science lover knows the road will not be easy. “I think working hard is important, but it’s also important to have determination and passion when you’re doing anything, even homework.” Now, Grace hopes to attend her dream college. “I want to go to MIT for science,” she said. “I think it’s an outstanding college. I’ve gone on their website, and I think it’s the perfect school for me.” Grace hopes to make her dreams come true and inspire others her age to do the same.

“I WANT TO BE AN ASTROBIOLOGIST, AND I HOPE I CAN FIND LIFE SOMEWHERE NOT ON EARTH.”
