Health Science Studies/Master's of Athletic Training (HSS/MAT): Students can obtain both a bachelor's and master's degree in five years. To qualify for this program, students choose the pre-athletic training track within the Health Science Studies (HSS) degree. After completing at least 89 hours of undergraduate coursework, students can apply to the MAT program. Once accepted into the MAT program, students will receive 15 hours of dual credit to complete their undergraduate degree. Career Opportunities According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the athletic training profession is projected to grow at an above-average rate (21%) by 2024. Baylor athletic training alumni can be found in a variety of employment settings, including: n Professional sports teams n Intercollegiate athletics n Manufacturing/distribution centers n High school athletics n Orthopedic and physical therapy clinics
