Police investigating crash that injured bicyclist A 38‐year‐old Boynton Beach man is recovering from injuries at Delray Medical Center after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle last night. David Overton was riding his bicycle in the crosswalk on Gateway Boulevard at Knight Road around 6:30 p.m. As he was entering the roadway to travel northbound, he was struck by a 2014 red Lincoln MKZ traveling east on Gateway Boulevard. The driver, Marjorie Demyer, 75, failed to stop for the red traffic light. Overton was thrown onto the sidewalk and his bicycle became wedged under Demyer’s vehicle. Overton was taken via trauma alert to Delray Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition. Demyer was taken to JFK Medial Center for precautionary measures. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Traffic Homicide Investigator Christopher Munro at 561‐742‐6112.
