Boynton Beach Police Chief Michael G. Gregory today announces the arrest of a 15-year-old boy for the Dec. 27 fatal shooting of a 32-year-old woman on Northeast Third Street.
Xavier E. Lewis, of Boynton Beach, was taken into custody this morning at Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach by the U.S. Marshal’s Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force. We thank them for their assistance.
“We hope that this arrest will bring some peace to the victim’s family and our community,” Chief Gregory said. “I am very pleased with the professionalism of the Boynton Beach Police Detectives who so diligently worked this investigation.”
Lewis is charged with first degree murder with a firearm and robbery with a firearm. He was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.
