Here is the probable cause affidavit for the arrest March 30, 2013 of Heather Costa. The 38-year-old Boynton Beach woman posed as a Comcast employee and burglarized a woman’s home. She claimed to be there to check televisions in the residence. Costa was still in the neighborhood when police arrived. She told officers that she got the shirt from her child’s father, who is a contractor for the company. Police found several pieces of jewelry in her pocket. Some of the items belonged to the woman whose house she had just burglarized.
She remains in the Palm Beach County jail charged with burglary to an occupied residence, providing a false name to a law enforcement officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.Boynton Beach Police would like to use this opportunity to remind homeowners to ask vendors/contractors for identification before allowing anyone into their home.
