On May 25th, 2019 at or about 02:25 at the location of 400 SR 804(Boynton Beach Blvd) which is located in within the jurisdictional limits of the City of Boynton Beach, within Palm Beach County and within the State of Florida, BRITTANY HEWTTY did strike a pedestrian (EVEN MASSILLON) with her vehicle and fled the scene without stopping to render aid or to call 911 for help. In the following days HEWITTY did cover the vehicle attempting to hide its location from law enforcement. HEWITTY and her boyfriend B/ M TRACY MILLER DOB 06/13/1993 did attempt to have the vehicle moved to an inside storage facility by contacting a tow truck driver. I made contact with Delray Medical Center and spoke with the charge nurse in the Trauma ICU, she advised me that Even Massillon suffered from the following injuries: -
On May 28, 2019 at approximately 1218hrs I received a call from Ofc. Paramore in reference to an anonymous tip about a hit and run vehicle. According to the tipster the vehicle a 2013-2015 Nissan Altima silver in color was currently parked at 1901 NW 1st Street Boynton Beach. The vehicle was covered but the tipster advised a friend of hers saw the vehicle as it was being covered. The friend also saw the damage that was consistent to the damage that we reported to the media. I met with Ofc. Paramore at Ezell Hester Park. From there we began to drive towards the residence. While in route, the tipster pulled into the driveway of 1901 NW 1st Street and pointed at the suspect vehicle. After pointing to the vehicle, the tipster left the area. The vehicle was covered with a car cover and we were unable to see the vehicle. I researched the property address through Palm Beach County Property Appraiser and found owner of the residence to be Brian Fitzpatrick. A search through our CAD System showed a Brian Fitzpatrick. I used that phone number and contacted the owner. Mr. Fitzpatrick advised me that he would respond to the scene to see if the vehicle belonged to one of his tenants. When he arrived on scene he removed the car cover on his own without direction of any law enforcement. When the cover was removed I observed visible damage to the front right side of the vehicle to include: 1. Broken and missing front bumper, 2. Broken and missing head light and turn signal, 3. Shattered front passenger side windshield to include a hole, 4. Missing passenger side front fender liner. The foregoing instrument was sworn to or affirmed and subscribed before me

While at Beck’s Towing and Recovery Jose Parrilla one of the tow truck drivers approached us and told us he was asked to move the 2014 Nissan Altima earlier in the day. Parrilla stated while he was at 1919 N. Seacrest Blvd (Rainbow City Food Store) he was approached by a black male who exited a white dodge pickup truck. Inside the pickup truck was a white female with brown hair. Parrilla stated the male asked him how much it would cost to move a covered vehicle from 1901 NW 1st St to a storage facility off of Gateway Blvd and Federal Hwy. Parrilla stated there was no storage facility there and asked if he meant Miner Road and Federal Hwy. The black male stated yes. Parrilla advised he had to call his boss to see how much it would cost, the black male asked if Parrilla could move the vehicle without asking his boss and offered cash for the tow. I asked Parrilla if he thought he could recognize the female in a photo lineup, Parrilla stated he thought he could. A photo lineup was compiled and it included a photo of Hewtty, B. When the lineup was shown to Parrilla he was able to pick out Hewtty, B without hesitation. I then asked Parrilla if he thought he could recognize the male in a photo lineup, Parrilla stated he thought he could. A photo lineup was compiled and it included a photo of Tracy Miller. When the lineup was shown to Parrilla he was able to pick out Tracy Miller without hesitation. On 06/13/2019 at 1430 hours Sgt. Hawkins and I met at the 2160 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach FL 33445 at the Law Offices of Leifert and Leifert. Present for this interview was Hewtty, B, Hewtty’s attorney Doug Leifert, Sgt Hawkins, Hewtty, B’s Mother Kim Tuzo and myself. This interview was documented with my BWC. After being sworn in and being read her Miranda Warnings Hewtty began to describe the series of events of the night of 05/25/2019 at approximately 0225hrs. Hewtty stated she received a call from her friend Ladashia, asking Hewtty to come pick her up on Seacrest Blvd and NW 10th Street in Boynton Beach. Hewtty stated she was at her residence when she received the call. She and her friend, b/f Tatianna Miller dob left her residence and stated she drove Hypoluxo Rd east to Seacrest Blvd where she turned right heading south. She drove to NW 10th Street and picked up Ladashia, they then continued south on Seacrest Blvd. At SR 804(Boynton Beach Blvd) they turned right(west). They were traveling west on Boynton Beach Blvd when a black male attempted to run across the road from the north side of the road to the south side of the road. Hewtty stated she struck the person with the passenger side of the vehicle and immediately became scarred. She stated she knew she should have stopped and called the police but she was so upset and scared she continued west on Boynton Beach Blvd turning north onto SR9(I95). Hewtty, B stated she took I95 to Gateway Blvd then exited eastbound where she made her first right turn (NW 1st Street). Hewtty, B stated she drove to the last house on the block turned into the parking lot. It was at this point Ladashia called her boyfriend who came to pick Ladashia up and take her home. Ladashia called her cousin who came and picked up Hewtty, B and Tatianna Miller and took them to Hewtty’s residence. The foregoing instrument was sworn to or affirmed and subscribed before me

Hewtty, B stated she didn’t know what to do, her mother, father and child were out of town and according to Hewtty, B she and her boyfriend Tracy Miller were fighting. Hewtty, B stated she stayed up all night and waited for her Tracy Miller to come home. Hewtty, B stated when Tracy Miller came home they drove to where the 2014 Nissan was located. Hewtty, B stated that she had car covers in the vehicle and she covered the vehicle’s with Tracy Miller. I asked Hewtty, B whose idea was it to cover the vehicle and she stated it was her idea. I asked where she purchased the covers, she stated she had the covers in her vehicle and did not have to purchase them. I asked Hewtty, B why she didn’t stop? Hewtty, B’s stated she did not know why and that she was scared. Hewtty, B stated she knew she wasn’t going to get into trouble because she had a similar incident years ago when a bicycle struck her vehicle. The police arrived and it was the bicycle rider was found to be at fault because he struck the vehicle. Hewtty stated the guy she hit ran into the road and didn’t stop. Hewtty, B stated she knew she was going too fast but could not tell me how fast she was going. Hewtty, B stated she attempted to avoid the pedestrian but she was unable to do so, Hewtty stated the incident happened so fast she couldn’t avoid it. Hewtty stated multiple times that it was her idea to park the car where she did, 1901 NW 1st Street, Boynton Beach FL 33435. Hewtty also stated multiple times that it was her idea to cover the vehicle. Hewtty stated it was Tracy Miller who contacted the tow truck driver and asked him to move the vehicle. Hewtty stated Miller wanted to get the vehicle repaired but until it was repaired he wanted to move the car someplace no one would be able to see it. I asked Hewtty where everyone was sitting in the vehicle, she stated she was driving, Tatiana was sitting in the front passenger seat, and Ladashia was sitting in the rear passenger side seat. Hewtty stated she was the only one in the vehicle who was cut by glass. When I made contact with Tatiana Miller there was no evidence of injury from the collision.
Based on the above facts, I have probable cause to believe that Brittany HEWTTY violated the spirit and letter of Leaving Scene of Crash Involving Serious Bodily Injury as defined in Florida State Statute 316.027(2)(b), and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence 918.13(1).
The foregoing instrument was sworn to or affirmed and subscribed before me
