FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 13, 2014
Investigation continues into brutal murder of Boynton Beach sisters It’s been nearly two years since the horrific murders of Janice Rahming and Daphne Clemons. The sisters were gunned down inside their Boynton Beach home by two armed men who burst through the front door and shot them with high‐powered rifles. No one has been charged with the March 17, 2012 murders. Detectives have spent countless hours investigating the case, developing leads and following up on tips that have come in from the public. Detectives have said from the beginning that they have no reason to believe that the shooting at 1623 N.E. 2nd Court was random. A person or persons residing at this address were targeted by other individuals. This act of violence is likely connected to others that occurred around that time within the area. Detectives are again turning to the public and asking that anyone with information about the people responsible for these heinous murders please come forward. “We would love nothing more than to bring closure to the families of Janice Rahming and Daphne Clemons,” Detective First Grade Chris Crawford said. “We won’t stop until those responsible are held accountable.” There are several ways for the public to anonymously provide information about these murders to detectives. Call Det. Crawford at 561‐742‐6139 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800‐458‐TIPS. Tips can also be submitted using the MyPD App or via www.bbpd.org.
