Isle of Dogs is the latest Wes Anderson film to hit the big screen. The stop-motion film follows the journey of Atari Kobayashi from Megasaki, Japan to Trash Island, where all dogs have been quarantined due to a canine flu outbreak.

The boy’s goal is simple, to find his companion, best friend, protector and dog. However, along the way he befriends a ragtag group of dogs to help him and they face many obstacles, including the impending doom of Trash Island.

The voice cast includes Bryan Cranston, Koyu Rankin, Edward Norton, Bob Balaban, Bill Murray and Jeff Goldblum as well as Scarlett Johansson and Yoko Ono.

The film received an 89 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with the following Critics Consensus:

“The beautifully stop-motion animated Isle of Dogs finds Wes Anderson at his detail-oriented best while telling one of the director's most winsomely charming stories.”

Additionally the film won the Silver Berlin Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival 2018, the Best FIlm award at the Titanic International Film Festival 2018 and a SXSW Film Festival 2018 award.

Due to the limited screenings of the film in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Founder Nealie Sanchez and Designer Linda Kessler trekked an hour-and-a-half to watch the film.
