Dear Ocean Edge Club Members,

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Weekend and have had a great start to your summer!

Now that summer is here, post Memorial Day, parking restrictions on the Mansion side of the property are in place. If you have not stopped by the Membership Services Desk at the Linx to pick up your 2024 parking stickers, please stop in. As a reminder, the car stickers are available for you, our primary club members only. With the parking restrictions imposed on the Mansion side of the property, we cannot provide car stickers to your Vertical Family Guests To help reduce parking congestion on the back side of the Mansion, it would be most helpful for your Family Guests, if not accompanied by you, to please utilize the shuttles This will benefit all of our Club Members when visiting the Beach or Mansion side of the property.

June also marks the start of much of the summer programming. The Opening Pickleball Party is this weekend on the 22nd, followed by the weekly Pop-Up Pickleball Parties starting on the 11th; Wine Down Wednesday starts on the 12th, Father’s Day BBQ on the 15th, and the annual Beach Bash on the 27th! The summer season is packed with member socials and events We hope to see you at the Club and enjoying the social opportunities as best fits your schedules.

We have officially passed the start of the season on Cape Cod with Memorial Day coming and going. We saw many new and familiar faces out enjoying the golf course. Sean Lucey and his staff have the course in great shape, and we encourage you to see for yourself. As we head into the season, please take advantage of the upcoming golf events listed on the Club Calendar. These are great ways to enjoy some great camaraderie and golf.

Tennis News:

The Junior tennis program begins June 17th and runs through Labor Day Future Stars (ages 4-7) runs Mon-Thurs from 4:00-5:00 Rising Stars and Super Stars run Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11:00-12:30 Wednesday held at 1:30-3:00

JUNIOR SPORTS CAMP is revamped for this season This great program features tennis & pickleball for the first hour followed by an hour of golf for ages 7-13 Begins June 18th and is held at Fletcher tennis and golf course Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 1:00-3:00 through August 22nd Sign up online or call the golf shop at 774-323-6200

OCEAN EDGE WOMEN’S TENNIS TEAM opening round robin will be held Wednesday, June 26th from 10:30-12:30. All current team members and any new players please join Jim and Sam for a fun pre-season event followed by a light lunch expertly crafted by our own team members. Matches are every Wednesday throughout summer.

Pickleball News:

Our summer pickleball program kicks into full swing on June 17th with Marcus and Todd creating a great environment

OCEAN EDGE WOMEN’S PICKLEBALL TEAM will begin Monday, June 10th with our first match We are in a competitive league with other clubs and teams on Cape. There will be an intermediate level and an advanced level. Marcus and Todd will be holding weekly team practices (tbd) so reach out to them if you’d like to join.

Congratulations to Marcus as he was chosen as one of 40 pros out of 600 applicants to get certified as a DUPER pro and instructor. He will be qualified to train other instructors. This puts him at an elite level just like our Head tennis pro.

Join the Ocean Edge Women's Pickleball Team for Summer Inter-Town League!

Are you ready to take your pickleball skills to the next level? We are thrilled to invite the OE women pickleball enthusiasts to join us for an exciting opportunity this summer – the InterTown League!

The league has two divisions: Intermediate and Advanced, catering to players of varying skill levels

Starting Monday, June 10th, and running through August 19th, we will engage in exhilarating matches every Monday evening from 5pm -7pm. To make this event a success, we need six teams for each division, ensuring plenty of action-packed games.

If you ' re keen on being a part of this experience, simply reach out to Marcus De La Vega or Todd Zukowski at the Pickleball courts at Blueberry Pond. Let them know of your interest, and they'll guide you through the process. Alternatively, you can express your enthusiasm by joining the Ocean Edge Members Pickleball group on the Team Reach app, using the group code Members2022

Our new spin bikes are here! Come try out the new technology with one of our certified Ocean Edge instructors. Yoga on the beach has started on Saturday and Sundays at 8:15 with additional classes being added at the end of this month. Sarah will be there to greet you and guide you through an all-levels class while you enjoy the breath-taking scenery unique to Ocean Edge and our end of the Cape.
