Dear Ocean Edge Club Members,
Happy July Fourth Week! I hope you all have had the opportunity to enjoy time with friends and family throughout the holiday week The Membership Services Desk has been busy reprinting membership cards for many of our new and returning Members. If you have misplaced your card or in need of a new card, please stop by the desk, Samantha and Amy will be happy to assist.
Presenting your card is an important part of maintaining our Club integrity and will help the new staff in providing proper Member recognition throughout the property Accessing the Beach Bar will require you to show your membership card. There is now an attendant at the top of the beach entry that will check for membership cards and resort cards to access the Beach Bar. Only Club Members and Resort Guests will be able to enjoy the Beach Bar. Thus far, this has met with positive responses from our Membership and is already seen as an improvement to the Member experience at the Beach Bar!
We continue to have strong interests with our Membership and thank you again for all the referrals that have come to the Membership office. Referring your friends to the Club is something that we hold in the highest regards and we thank you for your support.

This is our yearly refresher on ways you can care for the course While these tasks seem small, they go a long way to ensure everyone is enjoying our golf course. The Agronomy team thanks you in advance.
Tee Management
Please take your broken tees with you. They are not to be disposed of next to the tee markers Anytime a divot is taken from short grass area we ask that you retrieve the turf pelt that was taken and firmly step it into place, only use the divot sand when the turf pelt is unsalvageable or lost.
Ball mark repair
When landing on a green always check and repair your own ballpark, and any other ball marks that may find as well. With any where from 150-250 golf on the course a day, ball marks can add up quickly
· Bunkers Care
Always rake your footprints in fairway and greenside bunkers. When finished raking always place bunker rake in the rough parallel to the hole. Please do not place rakes in the fescue as they cannot be easily seen for future use. When exiting a bunker please do so on the low side, do not walk-up sand or grass faces as damage to turf as well as possible injury may occur
Golf cart traffic
Always obey cart path only (CPO) postings after heavy rain events When not in CPO we ask that you utilize 90-degree rule as much as possible When pulling up to greens and tees all four wheels of the golf cart remain on pavement. Golf cart should never travel in any of our fescue areas. Grass walking paths from tees to fairway are off limits to carts They are meant for walking and pushcart use only

Happy Summer!
We have some great news to share from the Members Sports Club. The lounge is open, and we have snacks, beverages and new food items for you to choose from while enjoying the pool or hot tub. The summer fitness class schedule is in full swing with many new class offerings and new workshops starting in July.
The first workshop is yoga with Sarah Barkhuff. To sign up call the front desk at the Members Sports Club 774-323-6300 . The workshop is FREE for members! See details below.
Please join Sarah Barkhuff for a 60 minute chair yoga workshop on July 17 at 11:30am. This class is perfect for members interested in exploring the practice of yoga without getting on a mat. Class will begin with 5 minutes of seated pranayama or breath work to soothe the nervous system and calm the mind. Yoga poses will be done sitting in the chair or using the chair for balance. While this is a gentle practice, postures will focus on both strengthening and stretching the body. Class will end with a guided meditation to further promote relaxation.
We look forward to seeing you!
Heidi and the MSC team Member Sports Club Diretor

Grilled Shrimp, Watermelon and Feta Salad
SERVINGS: 4 PREPPING TIME: 15 MIN COOKING TIME: 30 MIN
INGREDIENTS
1 pound large peeled and deveined shrimp, tails removed
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 large cloves garlic, 1 grated, 1 halved
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for oiling the grill grates
1/2 medium watermelon (about 3 pounds), rind removed, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 6 cups), chilled
1 garden cucumber (about 8 ounces), peeled, quartered lengthwise and cut into 1-inch pieces
One 4-ounce block feta, cut into 1/4inch cubes
1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives, halved
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, torn into large pieces, optional
1/2 baguette
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Put the shrimp in a large resealable plastic bag. Add the oregano, crushed red pepper, grated garlic, lemon zest and juice and 2 tablespoons of the olive oil. Seal the bag tightly and use your hands to lightly massage the marinade into the shrimp. Marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature. Prepare a grill or grill pan for high heat; lightly oil the grill grates or pan Soak the skewers in cold water
Put the watermelon and cucumber in a mixing bowl Put the feta and olives on top If using the mint, scatter most of it over the watermelon mixture Do not mix Thread about 5 shrimp on each skewer Halve the baguette piece lengthwise, then cut the pieces in half crosswise so you have 4 pieces. Brush the cut sides of the baguette with 2 tablespoons of the oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put the bread cut-side down on the grill along with the shrimp. Grill the shrimp until lightly charred in spots on both sides and just cooked through, 1 to 2 minutes per side. Grill the bread until lightly charred, about 2 minutes. Remove the shrimp and bread to a plate.
Lightly rub the cut sides of the halved garlic onto the hot bread. Put 1 piece of bread on each of 4 serving plates. Add the remaining 1/4 cup olive oil and a large pinch of salt and pepper to the salad, gently stir to combine and divide among the plates Top each serving of salad with a shrimp skewer Garnish with the remaining mint if using and serve immediatel
