Game On!
The LPGA Is On The Course It is an exciting time for the LPGA and the Coachella Valley as All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s leading airline, is now the title sponsor of the first major of the LPGA season. The newly-named ANA INSPIRATION is going on right now, with the official tournament play beginning on April 2, at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, home of the event since 1972.
in all of golf we are embarking on a new journey that has the potential to inspire golfers worldwide. Together ANA and the LPGA can see that leaderboards are becoming truly global which creates exciting new opportunities that both organizations are ready to seize.” While the event will take on a new name, the history and tradition of the LPGA’s first major of the season will remain. ANA, the LPGA and IMG are committed to celebrating the tournament’s heritage as players will continue to compete for the Dinah Shore Trophy on the Dinah Shore Championship course at Mission Hills.
ANA, which operates 72 international routes and 13 daily flights between North America and Japan, was also named the Official Airline of the LPGA. This perfectly suited partnership ensures a bright future for the historic tournament, where the winner annually jumps into Poppie’s Pond next to the 18th green before donning the Champion’s Robe. Notes from the Editor
A recent issue noted how some elements want to replace Andy Jackson with a woman (and just for that how “Sexist”) on the $20 bill. Could there be a bit more at play? He did back solid money: gold & silver or paper backed by it. And, he did stop the resumption of a national bank, outside of Congress and the Constitution. Perhaps his replacement is just “payback!” Rick Schwremler, Cathedral City Dear Mr. Schwremler, Point well taken and thank you for the feedback. I for one feel there are valid reasons why we have these faces on our money, and I’m not sure that because technology makes it so easy, that is it time to change these faces. At some point our first woman president will have a place on our currency, I’m feel she deserves the honor.
As I write my notes, I’m sitting in my room at the historic Hotel Del Coronado Resort. My sliding glass door is open allowing the cool ocean breezes to pass through as I turn to look at my view of the beaches and ocean. Spectacular, the hotel and the setting. If you haven’t been in a while, or have never been, the Hotel Del is one place you don’t want to miss! Breaking news!!! The mobile home news is online, yes - online! You can now read the paper any where in the world at http:// www.desertmobilehomenews.com. I’m very excited about this and you should be too, another milestone for our loved 60 year old paper. It Works! Tips to Clean Leather Leather should be cleaned regularly. First, use a soft cloth or micro-fiber cloth to dust the surface. Saddle soap works beautifully on leather. Another option for cleaning leather is to take a damp cloth, wipe it across moisturizing soap and lather the leather. Don’t rinse -- buff for a nice shine. Remember: When removing spots from leather, always test any cleaning method on an out-of-the-way spot first. One tip for removing spots from leather is to dip a cotton swab into rubbing alcohol and rub the spot. This can work for removing ink spots as well. If this doesn’t work, you can use non-oily cuticle remover. (Note: That is cuticle remover, not nail-polish remover.) Leave it on overnight and wipe it off with a damp cloth. *Send your household tips to the editor at news@dmhnews.com

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Another reason not to judge people is that they only show you what they want you to see. You’re so perceptive that you usually see much more than they would like, yet less than everything.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You’ll be playing a strategic game and much will boil down to your level of confidence. Your position is only as good or as bad as you think it is. The same is true of their position.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There is no reason to pretend to have more than you really do. You’re in a competitive position just as you are. You are wise to accept your limitations, and you may even highlight them.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Give yourself the breaks you need when you need them. The treadmill of daily life is like an actual treadmill in that when you jump off, your body needs time to adjust to the unmoving floor.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). That challenging situation you face has a different solution from the perspective of kindness than it does from the perspective of loyalty or aspiration. Prioritizing your values will help you find the most fitting solution.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You are not only loyal to the group you were raised with; you are also loyal to the larger community. Those two loyalties may clash now. Let love guide you.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). The deliciousness of delight comes to you when something good happens this afternoon. What’s even more delightful is how you’ll share with a fellow water sign (Scorpio or Pisces).

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You have the courage to bear what looks to be a heavy responsibility, and that bravery inspires you to volunteer before the others. You’ll learn that it’s not as hefty as first appearances suggested.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You’ll play many roles. You know better than to waste all of your energy trying to make the small roles bigger than they should be. You may have a small part in one scene, but you’re the top-billed star in another.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You have an affinity for the outsiders of the world. You recognize genius, admire free thinkers and revel in creative expression. With practice, you will embody that which you appreciate.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Quick fixes aren’t so quick if they cause you to be indebted to someone in the far-off future. You prefer to handle issues in real time and do it by yourself if you can.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). The afternoon features new input. You’ll likely have an immediate and visceral reaction to the events, and you’ll probably be right in your assessment. Still, it will help you to listen to other opinions.
