BACK TO BACK Nacida en Barcelona en el 86, Chui Kanela creció empapándose de la música, colores y ritmos de la década dorada de los hits de los 90. Desde los 6 años empezó a subirse a escenarios,

tocando en recitales de piano y cantando como solista en la coral de la escuela. La música y el arte han sido su verdadera pasión desde que tiene uso de razón.

Bcn events: Háblanos sobre ti, ¿cómo te iniciaste en el mundo de la música? Pues no se si se podría decir que me inicié en algún momento en concreto de mi vida por qué desde que nací en mi casa siempre se ha escuchado mucha música así que desde bien pequeña siempre he cantado, pero supongo que se podría decir que empecé a los 5 años o así, mi madre le regaló un piano a mi padre por su cumpleaños y desde que lo metieron en casa no me despegué de él. Bcn events: ¿Tocas algún instrumento? El piano fué el primero, luego vino el bajo, guitarra eléctrica y la batería. Bcn events: ¿Qué música sueles escuchar?

En mis playlists hay un poco de todo, mi lema es “un hit es un hit” da igual que sea metal, salsa o country. Durante mi vida como todo el mundo he pasado por épocas en las que escuchaba más estilos que otros, está claro pero si me tengo de quedar con alguno es el punk rock sin duda que es el amor de mi vida, aunque últimamente también escucho mucho pop y música electrónica. Bcn events: ¿A parte de cantar has tocado en alguna banda? Por supuesto, a los 13 me compré mi primer bajo con mi primer sueldo de currele de verano, un stix guitars del second company de 16.000 pelas y enseguida lo amorticé tocando en grupos de rock, punk, hardcore… la verdad es que lo echo mucho de menos! no descarto concierto

Pues la verdad fué una experiencia agridulce, ese día estaba con gripe y de lo chunga que tenía la garganta estaba al borde de quedarme sin voz, así que no pude darlo todo cantando y bailando como suelo hacer en directo por miedo a abrir la boca y soltar un gallo épico… pero bueno así es el mundo de la farándula! al menos Soraya Arnelas me hizo una muy buena crítica y me dijo muchas cosas bonitas así que valió mil veces la pena. Bcn events: ¿Cuál es la red social que más aprovechas para tu carrera musical?

Instagram sin duda, se me da verdaderamente mal todo lo que tenga que ver con ordenadores, webs o tecnología en general. Me han explicado 5 veces como actualizar mi web pero se me olvida en diez minutos. Instagram es muy fácil de utilizar y puedes poner fotos y videos además con el rollo de los #hastags puedes llegar a mucha gente fácilmente. Bcn events: También te vemos mucho trabajando de modelo De eso tiene la culpa mi novio, que es fotógrafo y me aprovecho un montón de él porque hace unas fotos brutales (Ivan Manteiga Photo).

Instagram without any doubt, I am really bad at anything that has to do with computers, websites or technology in general. I was explained 5 times how to update my website but I forget it in ten minutes. Instagram is very easy to use and you can upload photos and videos, and in addition with the #hastags tool you can easily reach many people. BCNEVENTS: We also see you a lot working as a model. That’s the fault of my boyfriend, who is a photographer and I take a lot from him because he takes awesome photos (Ivan Manteiga Photo). más cuando te rodeas de bailarinas profesionales , así que tengo plena confianza en mi coreógrafa y profesora de baile Ari Dance que me machaca para que dé siempre lo mejor de mí aunque intente escaquearme siempre de hacer los pasos de revolcarse por el suelo porque tengo agujetas de hacer pesas y estoy más tiesa que un palo. Bcn events: Además de la música, tenemos entendido que también trabajas en el mundo del tatuaje. ¿Cuáles fueron tus inicios? Pues yo pillé la última generación que aprendió a la vieja usanza. Fuí aprendiz en una tienda donde mis maestros me enseñaron como se ha hecho toda la vida en los oficios artesanales, de maestro a aprendiz. Había todo un rollo muy a lo karate kid en este mundillo y es una pena porque se ha perdido totalmente. Antes te tenías de ganar tu aprendizaje, tu maestro te explicaba las técnicas y los truquillos que él había tardado muchos años en aprender y perfeccionar, hoy en día cualquiera se compra un kit en ebay, hace un cursillo de tatuador de una semana y listo. Yo te hablo de hace casi 12 años, cuando aún se soldaban las agujas a mano y a la peña le daba mal rollo sentarse al lado de alguien que iba petado de tatus hasta el cuello. Bcn events: ¿Y ahora cómo compaginas la música con el tatuaje? Al tener mi propio estudio de tattoos (Thrash Hard Tattoo en Mataró) y trabajar sola lo tengo perfecto para cuadrar las dos cosas, trabajo con hora concertada así que si tengo una grabación, un bolo o lo que sea ese día no me pongo ninguna cita y cierro. Tengo el plus de tener mi local de ensayo en el sótano de la tienda así que si no estoy tatuando o dibujando puedo bajar a tocar un rato. No tengo de dar explicaciones a nadie y me puedo organizar como más me conviene, es la caña, además me encanta mi trabajo soy muy

afortunada. Bcn events: ¿Tienes algún estilo favorito? Neo-tradicional and Chicano Bcn events: ¿Qué artistas te han influenciado (ya sean del mundo del tatuaje o de la música)? En el tattoo constantemente te estás influenciando ya sea al ver tatuajes, ilustraciones incluso maquillaje o fotografía, no voy a decir que mis dibujos estén influenciados en nadie en concreto porqué me puede inspirar igual un tattoo que un póster de los años 90 o un cuento infantil japonés. Sí, tengo mis favoritos claro está pero cada día descubro alguno nuevo. En el mundo de la música no podría decidirme por solo un artista pero a la hora de cantar si que me salen ramalazos de mis cantantes favoritos eso es inevitable! Gwen Stefani, George Michael, Davey Havok, Billy Joe Armstrong, Brian Litrell y un montón más. Después como diva Madonna siempre será el top, y todas que le siguen, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry… eso no se aprende colega eso se lleva dentro, una diva nace no se hace. Bcn events: ¿A quién te gustaría tatuar? Pues a cualquiera de los cantantes que he dicho en la pregunta anterior! A mis tatuadores favoritos no que me daría tanto respeto que lo pasaría fatal. Bcn events: Y volviendo a la música, nos puedes dar algún adelanto sobre tus nuevos proyectos? Pues ahora mismo estoy trabajando con varias cosas a la vez, por un lado tengo algunas colaboraciones con djs y a parte he empezado un nuevo proyecto de producción musical que tiene muy buena pinta. También tengo en el horno una colaboración con el dj Fonsi Nieto que pronto saldrá a la luz, os puedo adelantar que el videoclip mola mucho!

En este número de nuestra revista una modelo rusa que se llama Zhanna haya compartido con nosotros su historia de la mudanza a Barcelona. Bcn Events: Zhanna , cuenta cómo empezaste tu carrera de modelo? Sabes, muchas veces me lo preguntan, y siempre me pierdo a la hora de contestar, todo es nueЖанна, расскажи нам, как ты начала свою модельную карьеру? Ты знаешь, мне довольно часто задают этот вопрос, и я всегда немного теряюсь, все так необычно и все еще ново. Знаешь как девочки часто мечтают стать моделями? Вот у меня такой мечты не было. С 15 лет я понимала, что хочу работать в сфере финансовых сервисов либо в сфере информационных технологий. Последние 3 года школы я училась в физико математическом классе плюс я получала специализацию в базовом программировании. Поэтому когда мои родители предложили мне в 17 лет поехать в Барселону и начать учиться в местном университете и получить бакалавр в Business Administration and Technology, я

En general, si no hubiesen intervenido mis padres, todos los sueños y planes hubiesen quedado no cumplidos, les doy las gracias. En el preultimo año de mi

цеплялось платье. Но эмоции, которые я получила во время дефиле, были незабываемые. После этого я участвовала в конкурсах, некоторых дефиле и фотосессиях, но все шло как -то медленно, и получив работу в местной компании по развитию стартапов, я успокоилась и приняла все как положительный опыт. Примерно через год, я внезапно поняла что, после того как я танцевала в классическом балете 13 лет, модельный бизнес - это именно то, чего мне не хватает , эта творческая атмосфера, кругом креативные люди и каждый со своим неповторимым стилем жизни. Я решила рискнуть, и, оставив работу, начала заниматься своим портфолио. И как только взялась за дело с настоящим рвением, тогда - то и появился прогресс.

carrera tuve claro que quería empezar mi propio Startup , y para entender mejor el mecanismo, me matriculé en el marketing y la financiación. Una vez vi un anuncio donde se pedía un modelo para una pasarela local. En realidad, siempre me preocupaba mucho mi aspecto físico, sobre todo, cuando pesaba más que ahora. Y entonces pensé que sería un buen reto para mi misma. A la primera salida pase mucho miedo, ya que se trataba de ir con unos tacones de 17 centímetros, a los que encima, se enganchaba el vestido. No has pensado en mudarte a Madrid, como allí hay más perspectivas en el ámbito de modelos. No quiero adelantar las cosas, pero mi carrera se está desarrollando bien. Hay tantos planes aún, y tan poco tiempo. He pensado sobre la mudanza a Madrid pero de momento hay muchas cosas por hacer en Barcelona además toda mi vida está vinculada con esta ciudad.

Расстались мы по обоюдному согласию, поэтому все было тихо - мирно, я не люблю громкие ссоры и истерики. То есть твое сердце сейчас свободное и есть надежда покорить его мужчинам?

На данный момент я влюблена в свою работу, но одно другому не мешает. Надежда, что кто то покорит мое сердце, есть в том числе и у меня, ведь “ если не любил, значит и не жил, и не дышал”. В какие места тебе нравится ходить в Барселоне ? Барселона, к счастью, такой город, что просто гуляя по улочкам, можно получить невероятное эстетическое удовольствие, ведь, уж что говорить, атмосфера и архитектура здесь просто волшебные. И где тебя могут встретить наши читатели что бы с тобой познакомится? Свободное время я обычно провожу в спортзале, либо с друзьями где - нибудь в районе El Born или у моря. Las posibilidades siempre hay en todos los sitios. Lo importante es encontrarse en el sitio concreto en el momento adecuado. Pero quién sabe cómo van a ir las cosas. De todas maneras , estoy abierta a todo lo nuevo. Bcn Events: Probablemente, una chica tan guapa como tú, tiene muchos pretendientes? Tienes novio? Mi corazón está libre desde hace bastante mucho tiempo. Y creo que será mentira si digo que estaba ocupado seriamente alguna vez. Siempre tenía o tengo actitud seria respecto a las relaciones y voy con mucho cuidado. No tengo costumbre de volverme loca y escribir en un diario mi nombre al lado de su apellido. La razón de mi última ruptura ...sabes, a veces te despiertas y lo observas todo a través de un prisma de la realidad y piensas no, no es para mi. Nos separamos por el deseo mutuo. Ha llegado Septiembre y con él, la vuelta al cole !!! La gran mayoría iniciamos nueva temporada de clases, trabajo y/o proyectos con ilusión y cierta nostalgia del periodo estival que queremos estirar al máximo. Pero seamos realistas … la playa, el sol, las cervezas en las terrazas etc… se están acabando, ya empezamos a sacar los jersey y pañuelos del fondo del armario e ineludiblemente procuramos movernos para cumplir los propósitos que nos hemos marcado en este nuevo comienzo, que suelen ser los mismos que no llegamos a consumar a principios de año : dejar de fumar, tomar menos alcohol, adelgazar o hacer más deporte. Sin embargo no es nada fácil cambiar de hábitos así como así, la pereza tiene mucha fuerza y nos invade la depresión post vacacional. Afortunadamente los que vivimos en Barcelona podemos tomarnos un paréntesis y recuperar algunas sensaciones veraniegas celebrando las fiestas de la Merçè una de las dos patronas que tenemos en la ciudad. En 1902 el Ayuntamiento confeccionó el primer programa de actos extraordinarios para rendir homenaje a la virgen que según cuenta la leyenda salvó a los barceloneses de una plaga de langostas que devoraba las cosechas en el SXVII, dejando en segundo plano a Santa Eulàlia, la hasta entonces patro-

na en solitario de la ciudad. Misteriosamente casi cada año cae una buena tromba de lluvia al rededor del día 24 septiembre fecha de la festividad de la Merçè , pasando por agua alguno de los festejos que duraran varios días, se cuenta que no es agua, sino lágrimas de una entristecida Santa Eulàlia que llora desde el cielo fruto de su pérdida de protagonismo. Desde la creación de estas fiestas hasta nuestros días, como es evidente hemos vivido una evolución, pero siempre se ha procurado tener un carácter popular, festivo y de máxima participación ciudadana, aprovechando ubicaciones como Plaça Real, Plaça Catalunya, el Parc del Forum, Moll de la Fusta o playa de la Barceloneta para acercar los festejos a la ciudadanía y siempre respetando las tradiciones como las jornadas de Castellers, las saradanas, el encuentro de gigantes, el correfoc, la feria de vinos o el piromusical de la fuente mágica de Montjuic que apareció mas recientemente. En la actualidad la joya de la corona son los multitudinarios conciertos que hacen bailar a BCN, este año grandes grupos catalanes como Sopa de Cabra o Txarango nos han hecho desconectar de la realidad durante un largo e intenso fin de semana. Los buenos propósitos pueden esperar unos días más!!! Viva Barcelona !!!

UNA CIUDAD DE LA BELLE EPOQUE San Sebastián

Si conozco una ciudad en el mundo que destila glamour esa es mi ciudad, San Sebastián, también conocida como Donostia en Euskera. Una auténtica Reina del mar Cantábrico, elegante y seductora, que presume de una imponente Bahía circular y playas de arena blanca, que a lo largo de su historia, a atraído a toda la aristocracia Europea en busca del sol y sofisticación, lo que la hizo famosa durante la Belle Époque que aún la envuelve. Con una arquitectura imponente, el puente de santa Catalina, el segundo de los cuatro puentes que cruza el río Urumea en la capital Donostiarra y une dos principales arterias de la ciudad, empiezo mi recorrido, donde podemos ver diferentes edificios señoriales. Siguiendo el cauce del río, llegamos al último de los puentes, el puente de la Zurriola, que situado junto al edificio kursaal que desde su construcción, es seña de identidad de la ciudad, un palacio de congresos que alberga entre otros eventos el Festival de Cine Internacional de San Sebastián el festival más prestigioso de todo el mundo que este año cumple su 65 edición y por donde han pasado ilustres personajes como Kirk Douglas, Mónica Vitti, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn.... Y un sin fin de artistas. Desde aquí podemos bordear el monte Urgull o entrar en la Parte Vieja, paraíso de lujo y vanguardismo, que no requiere etiqueta, para poder saborear sus “pintxos” en los mejores bares y

restaurantes de todo el planeta, mi deporte favorito. En la Parte Vieja, zona más antigua de la capital, sigo mi camino por la iglesia San Vicente, iglesia de Santa María y por último el nuevo museo San Telmo, que destaca por su emplazamiento dentro del convento de San Telmo. A un lado, unas escaleras que nos llevan al Monte Urgul. Aquí las baterías de cañones que defendían la ciudad por mar y el cementerio de los Ingleses que murieron durante la Guerra de la Independencia. Al final del camino, me espera el Castillo de la Mota, y las escaleras que suben hasta el monumento de el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Bajo de nuevo a la Parte Vieja hasta el puerto, donde me encuentro con el ayuntamiento, lo que fue un antiguo casino. Me adentro por fin en la playa de la Concha y por su paseo marítimo donde voy a dar con el Palacio Miramar, lugar de residencia de verano de la Reina María Cristina. Sigo el camino hasta llegar a uno de los símbolos de la ciudad, el Peine de Los Vientos, obra de Chillida. Dentro de la ciudad existen grandes monumentos que también se pueden visitar como la Catedral del Buen Pastor y la Diputación Foral, o varios de los pulmones verdes como el Parque de Aiete o el de Cristina Enea.

In the Old Town, the oldest part of the capital, I continue my route passing by the San Vicente church, the Santa María church and finally the new San Telmo Museum, which stands out for its location inside the convent of San Telmo. On the other side, there are stairs that take us to Mount Urgul. Here you can find the cannon batteries, defending the city by sea, and the cemetery of English soldiers who died during the War of Independence. At the end of the route, the Mota Castle is waiting for me, and the stairs that lead up to the monument of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I go back down to the Old Town to the harbor, where the City Hall, an old casino, is located. I finally go deeper into the beach of the Concha and walk by its promenade where I am going to face the Miramar Palace, the summer residence of Maria Cristina Queen. I keep walking until arriving at one of the symbols of the city, El Peine de Los Vientos (The Winds Comb), by Chillida. Inside the city there are other great monuments worth to be seen like Good Shepherd Cathedral and the Provincial Council, or several of the green spots such as Parque de Aiete or Cristina Enea.

Hoy 4 de octubre de 2017, Google ha presentado su nuevo hardware en la conferencia Made by Google, y en un principio mi artículo iba a tratar sobre eso. Pero ya está todo inundado de información sobre el tema, así que finalmente me he decidido a escribir un artículo a modo de reflexión. Creo que la primera vez que escuche la palabra Google fue sobre el año 1998, en casa de unos amigos. Alguien me recomendó que dejara de usar Altavista y probara el motor de búsqueda Google. Nunca había escuchado esa palabra, Google. ¿Qué demonios era eso? Pero bueno, la curiosidad me pico y use Google por primera vez. Mucho ha llovido desde entonces, y Google está en mi vida por todas partes. Que si Chrome, que si Android en mi móvil, en mi Tablet, en la tele, ¡en todos lados! Y aquí viene mi reflexión. ¿Hasta dónde llegará Google? En un mundo que avanza tecnológicamente a pasos agigantados, que está a años luz de lo que estaba la humanidad hace 100 años,

Google es y será una de las marcas que siempre estarán presentes en nuestra vida y que tecnoligamente no para de evolucionar. Hoy lo ha demostrado, haciendo un uso magistral de la Inteligencia Artificial en sus nuevos productos, donde uno en especial me ha llamado la atención, sus nuevos cascos inalámbricos, Google Pixel Buds. Seguramente sean una pieza de sonido brillante, con una estética muy bonita, pero lo que me ha hecho decir “pero qué coño” es su traductor de idiomas por voz en tiempo real. En el escenario, el presentador da paso a una señorita sueca para tener una conversación, el en inglés y ella en sueco, y los malditos auriculares hacían una traducción instantánea. ¿Dónde hemos llegado, que ya es posible usar este tipo de tecnología donde uno habla su idioma y el otro no tiene por qué entenderlo y unos botoncitos en tu oreja te traducen la conversación gracias a la inteligencia artificial? Pues no lo sé sinceramente, ¡pero si se dos cosas, que me alegra estar viviendo esta época y para nada le tengo miedo!

En la gastronomía donde las fusiones de culturas y sabores sumado a la creciente tendencia de utilizar en la cocinas productos frescos y de temporada, se ha creado un movimiento que sin duda va marcando la tendencia de la oferta gastronómica. Es por esta razón que en este mes en el cual el sol y las temperaturas veraniegas, queremos cruzar las fronteras de esta bella y generosa tierra pero más allá de esas fronteras, cruzaremos el océano y nos adentraremos en una Gastronomia que sin duda cada día va teniendo mas y más presencia en nuestras calles, nos referimos a la Cocina caribeña. Recorreremos en estas cortas líneas una variedad de platos y sabores que son el producto de la comunión de culturas, personas, razas y porque no decirlo; la suma de vidas que la historia ha querido condensar en esas tierras por allá en el continente americano, iniciando en el norte con la picante y colorida cocina mexicana, pasando por la calidez y dulzura de la del Caribe con sus aguas turquesas y cristalinas y finalizando en lo más sur del planeta la Patagonia que en el recorrido para llegar a ella debemos cruzar países como Colombia, Venezuela, Perú, Chile y Argentina sin dejar de lado la alegría de la cocina del Brasil. Para empezar debemos hablar de que tras el decubrimiento de América, fueron muchos los pais es que echaron raíces en aquel momento y que dejaron sus huellas gastronómicas im-

Y qué decir de las frutas como los plátanos machos y los dulces, o el mango, la papaya , los cítricos típicos de los ceviches y la piña o anana como se conoce en muchos de esos lugares o el inolvidable coco con cuya leche se elaboran una variedad infinita de platos que dan esos característicos matices a esta Gastronomia. Son tiempos de cambios y nuevos traslados de personas y sus culturas quizás más en el sentido contrario a lo ocurrido hace varios siglos atrás, ahora desde América para Europa y con ello nuevos productos como la Shia o la Quinoa ahora considerados Superalimentos y de los que hablaremos en nuestra próxima entrega pero sobre todo nuevos sabores, colores y texturas que sumado a las fusiones gastronómicas, está sorprendiendo nuestros paladares año tras año. Actualmente esta singular cocina se encuentra en ciudades como Londres, París, Barcelona y hasta en Asia. Por lo tanto donde quiera que se encuentren no dejen de descubrir el ceviche peruano, las cazuelas colombianas o las Arepas venezolanas que son tan solo alguno de los ejemplos más destacables en esta colorida gastronomia del Caribe.

The “cruasán”, also written abundantly in its spelling without adapting croissant, and known as croissants, and in some Latin American countries, such as cachitos, crabs or corns, is a piece of pastry pastry of Austrian origin, made with puff pastry, yeast and butter (sometimes replaced with margarine). Croissant in French means growing, in the sense of “lunar crescent” (crescent phase) and refers to the shape of the bun, and comes from a bun that the Ottoman Turks have introduced to Europe during the Siege of Vienna.
