The Brazos County Youth Livestock Association will award scholarships to some qualifying Brazos County young men and women who are seniors in high school and who plan to study at an institution of higher education or technical school. These scholarships will be awarded during the Special Awards Session just prior to the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show Premium Auction.
Eligibility: The candidates must be a high school senior who will graduate by the spring semester of 2022 and are either members of 4-H or FFA.

If a scholarship winner has not enrolled in a college,

Howdy! As the 2021 BCYLS Queen I am thrilled to announce that the 66th Annual Brazos County Youth Livestock Show is quickly approaching! This year’s events will kick off on March 19th with the Queen’s Dance featuring Kenny Ortz and No Chance and the

crowning of the 2022 Queen. Following the Queen’s Dance, BCYLS exhibitors will spend the week of March 20-26 showcasing their projects through the exhibiting of livestock, agricultural mechanics, and the family and consumer science shows. In addition to the show events there will be 2 auctions held, one for the Junior Commercial Steer Contest on Tuesday, March 22nd at 12:00pm and at the Premium Auction on Saturday March 26th at 2:00pm.
On behalf of all of the hard working BCYLS exhibitors, I encourage our entire community to come out to the show and support our youth involved in 4-H, FFA, and FCCLA. These youth have worked so hard to get their projects ready for the show and would love to see our community come out to support and reward these exhibitors!
My time serving as the 2021 BCYLS Queen has been such a great experience! From spending time throughout the show week at various events to working with the youth of our county, I truly experienced the county show in a new way. From the amazing group
of adult leaders to the volunteers, sponsors, and buyers, I saw a community build up around our exhibitors to make sure they had the best experience possible! The show would not be the same without these supporters, making sure the show ran smoothly. Without these supporters we would have never seen such success in our county sale, and for that I thank you!
My involvement in Brazos County 4-H, College Station FFA, and the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show has had a huge impact on my life. Whether it was exhibiting my livestock to the best of my ability or spending my time helping others, the impact these organizations have had on me, truly has molded me into the person I am today.
As my time as BCYLS Queen and exhibitor comes to an end, I want to personally thank each BCYLS Board of Director, Committee Chair, and Volunteer for their dedication to this show, giving selflessly their time and talents to make the show and sale possible each and every year.
Thank you! - Kendall Bone, 2021 Queen
