Kevin Fowler will take the stage of the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo on Friday, October 20th at the Brazos County Expo. Be ready to enjoy an incredible show as Kevin comes back for his second time to the fair with an enthusiastic sound and plenty of fun for all! “We’re coming to a honky tonk near you, A little hardcore troubadour hillbilly blues, Bringing country back, a little old a little new, We’re coming to a honky tonk near you” - the title song off of the new album by independent veteran country artist Kevin Fowler pretty well sums up his sound, approach and endless work ethic. Steeped in the old-school charm of classic country music, amped up with a modern energy all his own, and steadily touring from one packed house of honky-tonk diehards to another, Kevin Fowler makes music on his own terms for the thousands and thousands of loyal fans he’s earned through the years. To see Kevin Fowler in concert is more than just a show: it’s an experience. The Amarillo, Texas native’s wildeyed charisma breathes new life into old favorites like “Beer Bait & Ammo” and “The Lord Loves A Drinkin’ Man,” his twangy vocals riding atop the honky-tonk groove of his ace backing band. Few performers in country music are as naturally gifted at leading the crowd in a good time, whether it’s in a crowded dancehall or the wide open spaces of an outdoor festival. And few things amp up a busy musician’s energy level quite like a brand new album to release: this autumn, Kevin Fowler will be bringing the fresh new material of “Coming To A Honky Tonk Near You” to his fans around the nation. “Sometimes the recording process can be grueling, but this record was a pleasure to make,” Fowler beams when asked about the new project. “I recorded it with my good buddy Trent Willmon. I think it really shows in the final product when you are just having a great time making music with your friends.” 8 | October 19, 2017

GET EXCITED! The beautiful and incredibly talented Sabrina Carpenter will entertain fans with an awesome show on Saturday, October 21st at 8:00 PM on the Main Stage at the Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo. Recently completing her De Tour that took her across America, Sabrina will hit the stage for an awesome show Saturday evening. Eighteen-year-old singer, songwriter and actress Sabrina Carpenter’s journey into music, television and film began at the age of 2 when she followed in her older sister’s footsteps as a ballerina. As her passion and skill in dance flourished, Sabrina surprised her family and friends by discovering her unique vocal talents. Her budding acting career began in theater before moving from the stage to film and television, landing her first role as a guest star on “Law & Order SVU.” Subsequent roles have included Young Chloe on Fox’s “The Goodwin Games” and Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series, “Girl Meets World.” Staying true to her first love of music, Carpenter released her debut album Eyes Wide Open at the age of 15. Fueled by youthful exuberance and irresistibly buoyant singles such as “Eyes Wide Open” and “We’ll Be the Stars,” the album reflected Carpenter’s life over the previous three years. With the release

of her sophomore album “EVOLution” in October 2016, the gestation period was shorter, but clearly encompassed even more growth. Having co-written on the album, Carpenter sought to “work with people who are young and hungry — people like me.” The album’s current single, the instantly catchy “Thumbs” is pushing through to Top 40 all across the country with more than 23+ million streams on Spotify. Outside of the studio, Carpenter’s live shows reflect her boundless energy. She embarked on her first-ever, sold out headline EVOLution Tour last fall, traveling across 35+ cities in the United States. Internationally, she joined The Vamps as a special guest on their UK arena tour this May and performed on Ariana Grande’s worldwide Dangerous Woman Brazil tour dates in June. Carpenter is currently on The De-Tour – her second headline tour, which will hit 30+ North American cities by its conclusion at the end of August. Prior to heading out on tour, Carpenter co-wrote and released her newest song “Why,” which Billboard hails as “extremely likable and highly promising of what’s to come.” October 19, 2017 | 9
