Normangee Tractor & Implement Company, at the intersection of Highway 39 and OSR in Normangee, sells, services and provides financing for Kubota tractors, Kubota lawn mowers, Kubota utility vehicles, Polaris all terrain vehicles, Polaris utility vehicles and many other lines of agricultural-related products. Normangee Tractor opened in 1939, and current owners, the Stawnicz family, bought it in 1977.

“We love everything ag,” Vernon Stawnicz said. “This gave us an opportunity to live and work in this area, doing what we like to do most.” Stawnicz said he believes his business won the award because of its relationships with customers and its great customer service. “We have been able to determine what product lines fulfill our customer needs, and focus on those to provide the best service for our customers, as well as products they can be happy with and recommend to their friends and neighbors,” Stawnicz said. LIQUOR STORE, WINE SHOP Spirited tailgates. Fun-filled backyard barbecues. Festive dinner parties. People in College Station have plenty of opportunities to enjoy refreshing beverages and gourmet foods. And when they do, they turn to Spec’s Wines, Spirits and Finer Foods, the 2018 Readers’ Choice for “Best Liquor Store” and “Best Wine Shop.”

Back on April 1, 1962, Carroll Jackson – affectionately nicknamed “Spec” because of his signature eyeglasses – opened the first Spec’s with his wife, Carolynn, in Houston. One day, Spec sketched a caricature of a bunny with glasses, symbolizing his quick, friendly service. People loved it, and it has been the Spec’s logo ever since.

Since 1962, family-owned Spec’s has been providing exceptional savings on an impressive selection of unique finds for hungry and thirsty Texans. A vital part of their long-running success has been their mission to make and keep customers happy.

In less than 10 years, the demand for more Spec’s locations grew. The Jacksons’ daughter Lindy and her husband John Rydman came on board in 1971, and just three years later, they introduced the largest selection of wines Houston had ever seen.

Now with Texas’ largest selection of wines, spirits and beers at more than 100 locations across the state, Spec’s has truly become a destination shopping experience and a Texas institution. “We serve thousands of people in our stores across Texas,” said Lisa, thirdgeneration spokesperson. “We are constantly striving to get better at what we do, offer a better selection for our customers, improve our customer service and show the public what has been lost in so much of the retail world.” So whether you’re a firsttime customer or a long-time fan, make sure you shop at Spec’s for an impressive selection of unique products at incredibly low prices and a big helping of hospitality. The fun starts here!

ANESTHESIOLOGIST The Eagle readers voted Dr. Mark Brauer as the 2018 Readers’ Choice “Best Anesthesiologist” winner, and Brauer credits his team members for the win. Brauer, corporate medical director at American Anesthesiology of Texas, said staff members at the medical practice set it apart from the competition. “Easy – it’s our people that set us apart. HEALTH FOOD STORE Brazos Natural Foods, chosen as “Best Health Food Store” in the Readers’ Choice Award for 2018, has been a source of local health food for many years. Janis and Bob Atkins opened the first location on Old College Road in August 1988 after the Brazos Valley Food Coop closed. It is now at a second location on Texas Avenue, which the store moved to in April of 1995. “We wanted to maintain and expand a source of quality supplements, bulk herbs and spices, unadulterated foods

and what were considered at the time ‘exotic’ ingredients,” said Jenn Atkins, owner, store manager and herbalist. “It is also part of a philosophy of living in harmony with our planet and its resources, about viewing the world holistically.” Brazos Natural Foods offers products that are organic/ biodynamic/Eco-cert, FairTrade, B-corp certified, Non-GMO, Made-Safe, special diet needs such as glutenfree or vegan, and otherwise sourced for quality and ethical

Many customers have been looking for ways to bring their body back in to balance, whether digestive issues or pain management or improved energy. “This is one reason why having customer service staff with a sound background in holistic health is essential for our venue,” said Atkins. “We have a certain scope within which to offer guidance, part of which is laid out by DSHEA, but knowledge of both the supplements and the dynamics of an issue are needed to offer meaningful assistance.” Atkins believes Brazos Natural Foods received the Readers’ Choice Award for multiple reasons. “Having many of the products that are hard to find elsewhere, being able to offer guidance and

education, to be examples for those in the community - all of which are the roles of our venue.”

into greater demand and is now a commonly available product, but it started with the education,” said Atkins.

“I think this is our first win, so it means an incredible amount to us,” she added. “We’re grateful, inspired and happy to have been chosen.”

The local store has grown quite a bit over the years, and Brazos Natural Foods hopes to continue to grow in the future. “The more customers we work with, the greater our potential for doing so,” said Atkins. The first generation of Brazos Natural Foods has retired and is now operating with the second generation, which has been a tremendous achievement. “Being a resource for the community takes constant research, training and consideration. We hope to continue for generations to come.”

When Brazos Natural Foods first opened, it was the only source for many now easy-tofind products. Stores like this one brought those products and education about them to a larger community. “We were once the only place to get coconut oil and would do a great amount of customer education over it. Because of such efforts, it came

ELECTRICIAN In every town there are business names that stand for the community they serve. They come by their well-deserved reputations through honesty, hard work and quality service. Britt Rice is one. Every morning you can see the signature beige-colored Britt Rice trucks fanning out over the Brazos Valley as they head to a wide variety of jobs, both residential and commercial. Perhaps Britt Rice is best known for the large keystone building projects that bear their familiar name on construction site signage, such as Kyle Field, Bush Library and Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park (to name a few). But that is just part of

the story. Over the years Britt Rice has continued to grow in a myriad of ways, including an expansive service division (both residential and commercial). Having grown to over 275 electricians that include an impressive 15 master electricians, 75 journeymen electricians and 100 apprentices/helpers, Britt Rice is one of our community’s largest employers. As such, they have always felt a corporate responsibility to give back in dozens of different ways across dozens of different charities, along with the countless volunteer hours the employees put into the organizations of their choice. Established in 1974, the company

recognized early that demand for electrical services in our fastgrowing economy would soon outpace the number of trained, qualified electricians available. Britt Rice rose to the occasion and established an on-site, federally-approved apprenticeship program. Now over 20 years old, the program has ensured a steady stream of new electricians of the highest quality and professionalism. Crown Systems is the systems division of Britt Rice Electric. This swiftly growing section of Britt Rice is a certified Siemens fire alarm distributor and installer, and has quickly come to be the most trusted installer of this crucial safety element. Britt Rice Electric is proud to win the Eagle’s

Britt Rice would like to say thank you for the 44 years of trust customers have given them in handling all of their residential and commercial electrical and low voltage needs.

HOME BUILDER Mariott Homes, Inc. has won the 2018 Readers’ Choice Award for “Best Home Builder” for the fourth time. “We are incredibly grateful to this fabulous community for such a prestigious award! We believe in building a high quality home and welcoming our customers into our Mariott Family,” said Mitzi Mariott Pampell, daughter of Larry Mariott.

his word. Larry and his team of professionals realize that homebuilding can be a very overwhelming process, so they’ve tried to lessen the anxiety by providing their customers with a “One Stop Shop.” Mariott Homes will walk you through the entire homebuilding process… from beginning to end.

Larry Mariott has been building homes for over 42 years in the Brazos Valley. He established Mariott Homes, Inc. in 1992, after building custom homes for 16 years. His company’s foundation is based on integrity, solid craftsmanship and customer service that is backed with

As part of the Mariott Homes Experience, you also have an in house decorator whose entire goal is to make your homebuilding process the best…EVER. Mitzi, one of the Mariott Homes decorators, walks clients through their homebuilding process to ensure great organization, a clean line of

communication, all while providing a vivid portrayal of the customers’ visions. There are numerous showrooms to gain design ideas and to view samples for ease. “It is my job to discover who this family is. How will they use this room? How can we best use their budget? These are just a few questions that ensure that I’m on their same page,” Pampell said. There have been several changes throughout the years at Mariott Homes, Inc. As the company grew and his children graduated from Texas A&M, Larry saw an opportunity to create a true family business. Mitzi Mariott Pampell joined the company as the in-house decorator and has further developed and expanded their design process. Next, Coulter joined to work with the suppliers and vendors in order to get the most competitive cost for building materials. His current role allows him to work directly with clients to design floor plans, develop and monitor budgets, as well as,

oversee the daily operations on each job, along with his dad. Overall, Mariott Homes has experienced the desire for increased square footage and unique customization to accommodate the ever changing family’s needs, however, Larry didn’t want to forget about the great smaller homes he built in the beginning of his career. So the decision was made to create a company that would represent that of a Mariott Home, but with less square footage and a few less amenities. Therefore, in 2014, Classic Homes by Mariott, L.L.C. was created with Larry’s youngest son, Jared Mariott, as Managing Supervisor. Mariott Homes, Inc. is very humbled and honored to have been selected for this award. With any

successful company, expanding services, products or locations is always a possibility. However, at this time, Mariott Homes is focused on continuing to be the best family run custom home builder in Brazos County and surrounding areas. “We truly believe that the subcontractors and employees of Mariott Homes are our biggest asset,” Mitzi said. “Without these talented and loyal people, running a successful business would not be possible. We owe this award, and every other… to them.” With family needs ever changing, we understand the importance of turnkey solutions, budget constraints, and the idea of true customization and style. Allow us the opportunity to shoulder your anxiety, and create a home that is comfortable and exciting to your family.

LOCAL VOLUNTEER I want to greatly thank everyone of the Eagle’s readership who voted for me once again for “Best Local Volunteer” in the 2018 Readers’ Choice Awards. Volunteerism in our community is so important and needed. As volunteers choose areas of passions and work hard, it is nice to know these acts don’t go unnoticed. I have worked hard for many local non-profits as a Board Member, volunteer and founded three very successful community events that raised over $800,000 for local non-

profits dealing with children, adults, and health care. Over $500,000 has been in the area of helping homeless animals. Through all of these experiences, I have now taken a step forward to start my own 501c3 nonprofit, Wienerspiel. This will help our board meet our mission of raising money for many non-profits which help homeless, neglected and unwanted animals and non-profits which promote the human/animal bond. Wienerspiel will award the money raised to help these

organizations. In the past, we have only concentrated on one organization but we realize that many groups need money to help their animals find their forever homes. So Wienerspiel was founded. Everyone’s dream is to no longer see homeless, unwanted and neglected animals in our communities. Wienerspiel, as a 501c3, is a non-profit and not an event. Our first fundraiser is October 19-21, 2018, in which we will sponsor WIENER DOG AND WANNA’ BE A WIENER RACES at Wolf Pen Creek in College Station! I look forward to your continued support as we work together as volunteers to help Bryan-College Station. Sincerely, Judy

Repo Joe Sales Event for the last 17 years. The monthly used car sale has become a big event with car shoppers, and helps create new Atkinson customers each time.

NEW CAR DEALER, USED CAR DEALER, AUTO REPAIR SHOP, AUTO PARTS STORE, OIL CHANGE, AUTO SALESPERSON – DON LEMON Atkinson Toyota was voted the 2018 “Best New Car Dealer,” “Best Used Car Dealer”, “Best Auto Repair Shop,” “Best Auto Parts Store” and “Best Oil Change”, and Don Lemon received special recognition as “Best Auto Salesperson.” Such accolades year after year come from quality products and dedicated, friendly customer service. Atkinson Toyota offers new Toyota vehicles, along with used/certified pre-owned vehicles. The sales staff works diligently to find the right vehicle to meet customers’ needs, and the maintenance team keeps those vehicles running smoothly. “We must be doing something right,” Atkinson Toyota General Manager Jason Ortgies said. “Like the personal attention to our customers or when you drive in for maintenance at the dealership, you are welcomed by one of our friendly service greeters; or perhaps it’s the complimentary Wi-Fi service in our waiting area, along with offering a bottle of cold water or a cup of gourmet coffee to our customers. It’s the friendly welcome our guests receive and having a personal service consultant to address your concerns that makes a difference! We are very excited to be honored with these awards, and it’s proof that when we try to do our best every day, it is recognized by our customers.”

Don Lemon is a great example of friendly, personalized service. Don began his Atkinson Toyota career in December 1999, and he was excited to win the “Best Salesperson” Award. Don Lemon believes his years of experience and customer satisfaction led to winning this honor. “I’ve developed my professional career the Atkinson way – to provide a truly exceptional customer experience,” he said.

DAY CARE CENTER Bright Beginnings Pre-School, 2018 Readers’ Choice “Best Day Care Center” winner, teaches young children to enjoy learning in a safe, caring environment. Bright Beginnings Pre-School opened in 2002, Owner-Director Carrie Parris said, because there was a need for quality early childhood education in BryanCollege Station. The pre-school serves children 18 months through 5 years old, and is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. “Our mission is to provide the highest quality of educational and developmental services for your child in a safe and caring environment. Teaching children

that learning is fun, rewarding and exciting gives them a ‘bright beginning’ for a lifetime of success,” Parris said. “I feel we do a great job of preparing children for a successful start in kindergarten through a structured curriculum and environment. Our families seem to especially enjoy being able to log on to the kiddie cam on our website for a live streaming look into their child’s day.” When Bright Beginnings PreSchool first opened, its spots filled quickly. After a couple of years, the business took all available space in the facility and was able to build one more classroom specifically for the youngest toddlers.

“We are continuing to focus on maintaining the quality facility we have, offering B-CS families educational and developmental services for their children in a safe and nurturing environment,” Parris said. Parris believes staff members are what set the pre-school apart from the competition. “I think our staff is what sets our business apart from the facilities in the area,” she said. “We have a core group of people who have been here several years, providing the children here with consistent and nurturing education and care.” She said Bright Beginnings team members are honored and thankful to receive the award, which they won because of their dedication. “I think we won because of the positive relationships that we have built with families in the B-CS community,” Parris said. “We worked hard over the past 16 years to do a good job and appreciate that it is noted.”

the experience that every patient has in his practice. He is a tireless advocate for his patients and healthcare in the Brazos Valley. “Our goal at Genesis is to provide personalized care and develop lasting relationships with our patients,” said Donna Jo Mitchell, practice manager at Genesis Ob/ Gyn.

OBSTETRICIAN/GYNECOLOGIST Dr. Justin Gayle and his staff would like to thank the readers of The Eagle and his loyal patients for voting him “Best Ob/Gyn” once again in this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards. Dr. Gayle, Texas A&M Class of ’87 and native of College Station, returned home in 1999 to practice medicine after practicing in the Woodlands for three years. His dream has always been to start his own practice, built on his and his devoted staff’s core values and principles. In 2005, Dr. Gayle felt a calling to help those in our community who are less fortunate and do not have easy access to quality health care. Through a

collaborative effort with the College Station Medical Center and the Brazos Valley Community Action Agency (BVCAA), he started the ABC Women’s & Children Clinic. In January 2015 Dr. Gayle opened his new practice, Genesis Ob/Gyn, at The Physicians Centre. Genesis Ob/Gyn is a faith-based practice, providing advanced and high-quality health care to women and families throughout the Brazos Valley. From routine obstetrics and gynecology, to advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, Genesis Ob/Gyn can meet the needs of women in a warm and friendly environment. Dr. Gayle works to maximize the doctor-patient relationship, and

schedule new appointments. Dr. Gayle and Dr. Smith are the first Ob/Gyns to have an office located at The Physicians Centre, conveniently located at 3201 University Drive East in Bryan.

To schedule an appointment, call 979-704-6173. Also, find us on Facebook at facebook.com/ genesisobgynbcs. Genesis Ob/Gyn – a place for new beginnings.

“With all of the changes that are taking place in medicine and the delivery of healthcare, we wanted to build a practice where the primary focus is on patient care and satisfaction, not the corporate bottom line,” Dr. Gayle added. Dr. Virginia Smith, MD and Jamie Bouchard, NP recently joined the team at Genesis Ob/Gyn. Dr. Smith, who joined us in December 2016, is a graduate of Texas A&M and returned home to practice. Bouchard is a Nurse Practitioner who joined in October 2017 and has years of experience in obstetrics and women’s health. Both providers are now seeing patients and will gladly

adjustments to their bite, or adults who have never had braces.

ORTHODONTIST Winning The Eagle’s Readers’ Choice Award for the 11th time has been a wonderful experience for Dr. Troy Elms and his team. “What makes us most excited is the challenge of constantly advancing the orthodontic experience and exceeding patient expectations. Receiving The Eagle’s Readers’ Choice award is a confirmation that we are getting it right with the people we care about most – our patients,” said Dr. Elms.

practice. Regular team meetings center on shaping the patient experience to ensure higher and higher levels of satisfaction, efficiency and enjoyment. The Elms team does this by focusing on the most minute of details. The list is endless, as is Dr. Elms’ quest to keep refining his craft.

Dr. Elms treats two distinct groups of patients that his practice serves exceedingly well: the young students who are getting braces for the first A “positive patient experience” time and adults who may have had braces as a child and need is a key phrase in Dr. Elms’

For adults, the treatment choices are becoming increasingly diverse and effective. Ranging from iBraces, that are invisibly installed on the back of teeth; Clarity ceramic braces that are translucent and nearly invisible; and Invisalign, which are not braces at all, but a clear aligning system that has become very popular within recent years. These and other techniques all offer effective alternatives to conventional braces for adults. When it comes to youth orthodontics, Dr. Elms is in a league of his own. Students love the Elms experience, beginning with the Orthomobile - which is the free, chauffeured Hummer shuttle, to and from school.

Fun is also a big component for the student patients, including the most anticipated Elms summer event – the annual Adamson Lagoon swim party, where hundreds of patients from the Brazos Valley have the party of the summer, courtesy of Elms Orthodontics. Dr. Elms has not only managed to create a truly special environment, but has done so without compromising orthodontic quality. This combination is what endears patients to Dr. Elms, his loyal staff and to the great results they produce. Located conveniently on the Northeast corner of the

intersection of the Highway 6 Bypass and F.M. 2818/Emerald Parkway, Dr. Elms’ building has become the benchmark for what a modern orthodontic practice can be. A huge porte-cochere welcomes cars and knocks the Texas heat off arriving patients. The interior harbors a thousand little touches to make it special - like an in-house movie theater and iPads at each treatment station. If you are considering braces for your child or yourself, give Dr. Elms a visit. It will be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made and one of the best experiences. You’re going to love Elms Orthodontics!

MUSEUM The Eagle readers have shown their appreciation for the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and its ability to tell the story of its namesake, George H. W. Bush, by voting it as this year’s “Best Museum” in the Readers’ Choice Awards. The George Bush Library and Museum, at 1000 George Bush Drive West in College Station, opened in November 1997. “This past fall we celebrated 20 years of being in the Bryan/College Station community. During this time we have hosted hundreds of events and over three million visitors. We strive to keep the Bush Library and Museum exciting by bringing unique temporary exhibits while continuing to

keep our core exhibits updated to give the best possible experience to our visitors,” said Warren Finch, director of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The Bush Library and Museum cares for more than 44 million pages of official documents and donated collections from George H. W. Bush’s presidency and throughout his public career, as well as more than 120,000 artifacts. Many of these papers and artifacts are on display in the museum and are accessible to researchers online and on site in the research room. The museum also uses primary source documents to enhance its many education programs. The library and museum underwent

a major renovation and rededication 10 years after opening -- adding many more interactive exhibits, videos and hands-on activities. Additionally, it features changing temporary exhibits that highlight various aspects of President Bush’s life and career. Finch said the museum is unique because of its ability to tell the story of Bush’s life. “President Bush has had a remarkable life as well as former First Lady Barbara Bush who passed away earlier this year,” Finch said. “We continue to highlight their careers in public service and dedication to important causes such as hurricane relief, family literacy and cancer research among others. As President Bush

said ‘There can be no definition of a successful life without service to others.’ We hope to continue to serve the community and make the Bush Library and Museum an exceptional experience for everyone.” The museum has won the award in years past, and Finch said Bush

Library and Museum officials are honored to win the accolade again. “We are so pleased to win the Reader’s Choice award again this year. It is a testament to our fine staff, dedicated docents and volunteers who do such great work.”

Shown is a replica of the Oval Office, where visitors to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum can sit and have their picture taken behind the desk.

for business meetings but also for staycations, romantic getaways, family reunions, wedding receptions and graduation parties. But mostly, The Stella’s team is just friendly. Each person wants to serve and is enthusiastic in their approach to their guests. They want to make your stay at their B/CS resort memorable.

HOTEL The Stella Hotel has won the Readers’ Choice Award for “Best Hotel” in 2018. “We think it’s because we have the best guests,” said Spencer Clements, Principal of ATLAS and Traditions Club, “including all of those B/CS residents who frequent Campfire, our restaurant, and Hershel’s, our really cool crafted cocktail lounge.” Since it just opened a little over a year ago, this is The Stella’s first time to win. “We are thrilled! And humbled,” Clements said.

The Stella is a community meeting place, reminiscent of a bygone era where each town had its iconic hotel and hotelier. It provides a place to lay your head at night, dine with friends, meet for business or pleasure, listen to some great music, attend a stargazing party, enjoy a meal in your cabana by the pool, and a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby college district.

The Stella is owned and operated by people living here in the Brazos Valley. The Stella is a hotel developed and “She is our creation and we work designed with this part of Texas in daily to provide world class hospitality mind. The Stella opened on April 6, 2017.

The team has observed the incredible transformation of B/CS from the proverbial “college town” to a true regional hub, one that would be the largest metropolitan area in five states. Recently, Noble House Hotels & Resorts took over operating The Stella. Noble House runs beautiful resort hotels in destinations such as Key West, Jackson Hole, Seattle, San Diego and the Napa Valley. LIVE MUSIC VENUE The Lakeside Icehouse thanks readers for voting them “Best Live Music Venue” in the Eagle’s Readers’ Choice Awards for 2018. “We have won before and we feel truly honored to win every time,” said owner Barry Ivins. “This award gives our business the recognition we strive to gain.” He feels the business has won not only due to the amazing atmosphere they offer but to the local artists that perform there. The Lakeside Icehouse is a bar and grill that offers a variety of live music genres. The stage is set up to where the audience has the best view of the setting sun. It can also be enjoyable to grab a burger and

watch the boats load off and on the boat ramp, all while having a margarita on the patio. Local fan favorite bands like Texas Unlimited Band, Clayton Gardner, Rockafellers or Texas Twisters are hosted frequently, as well as artists like Aaron Watson, Rick Trevino, Roger Creager, Casey Donahue, Ray Wylie Hubbart and the Bellamie Brothers. Ivins opened The Lakeside Icehouse in 2011. He heard about the original business being up for sale from his kitchen manager at The Corner Bar and Grill. “Noe worked in the kitchen there and he knew I wanted to expand by opening up a third bar/restaurant business.” Ivins felt it would it would

be worth seeking out since Noe already knew the kitchen set up and working along side him at The Corner was a great fit. The patio at the Lakeside Icehouse is a must see in Brazos County and the perfect venue for any occasion - birthday, graduation, anniversary, reunion or date night. The deck has been expanded to offer more seating for larger parties, too. “The sunset and view over Lake Bryan ain’t bad!” Ivins added. At this time, there are no plans for expansion. “We are focused on our four businesses, but we are looking long term on continuing our services at The Lakeside Icehouse.”

BUFFET DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks was voted the 2018 Readers’ Choice winner for “Best Buffet,” and the district manager believes that could be because of its diverse – but consistently fresh and tasty – food, and an open kitchen with visible, hospitable and accessible staff. DoubleDave’s offerings include: dine-in, pick-up, carryout, delivery, online ordering, a Monday/ Wednesday night buffet and a daily lunch buffet. Products include a salad bar, build-yourown-pizza, specialty pizzas, world famous Peproni Rolls, Stromboli, sandwiches, buffets and desserts. Joseph Adair, district manager for

DoubleDave’s Brazos Valley, said customer favorites are the lunch buffet, Peproni rolls and the Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli. One way DoubleDave’s sets itself apart from the competition, Adair said, is by making dough and sauce by hand every day. “Fresh, local produce and quality meats round out our superb product,” he said. “We also set ourselves apart because we offer the services of all other pizza businesses combined. Some deliver and carry out, and some feature a buffet. We do it all. The amount of pizza we can pump out on a daily basis from all three locations is mind-boggling at times.”

Adair believes DoubleDave’s won “Best Buffet” because it offers “a consistent, yet diverse product with a smile.” The eatery offers a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day, and always takes customer requests. Another likely reason for winning is that DoubleDave’s offers a free buffet for kids 6 and under (with a paying adult). Adair appreciates customers voting for DoubleDave’s.

College Station community. “We went from a couple of kiosks to full production in 11 individual concessions stands at Kyle Field in 2014, and I believe it enhanced the experience of game day, adding local flavor” Adair added. He said DoubleDave’s staff members are always working to

make web services smoother, quicker and more user-friendly. Also, all three DoubleDave’s locations now offer a “Caulipower” cauliflower crust option on small pizzas. Adair said he “looks forward to the opportunity to serve new and returning customers in the years to come.”

“I feel grateful and appreciative,” Adair said. “For readers and customers to vote for us is an honor. They are the reason we do what we do day in and day out, and their acknowledgement makes it all well worth the hard work.” Adair said DoubleDave’s started right here in College Station in 1984, with the current ownership taking over in 1998. The local ownership group relocated every restaurant over a period of time in order to better serve the growing Bryan-
