Dribbling and shooting a basketball has never been so fun! At the Sportball Basketball Academy your child will learn all of the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, safe atmosphere. Our class is designed to give our “Sportballers” the confidence they need to jump onto a basketball team and hopefully love playing the sport of basketball for life. Classes will consist of skill based games, progressive fundamental drills and skills, and lots of controlled scrimmages to help your child learn the amazing game of basketball.

At Sportball we have a “Rain or Shine” policy, coaches will be prepared to run classes no matter what the weather is like. We understand that in Beaumont weather can change on a dime, so please be ready to dress warmly, layer up and try to be prepared for ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS!
The only event we will not run classes in is if there is lightning in the vicinity or in the fields. In the event of lightning, our coaches will still be at the location waiting for an opportunity to run classes in case the lightning and thunder stops. Unfortunately, we also have a no refund policy and due to large classes, make ups may be hard to arrange for our outdoor soccer classes. If the weather does not permit us to play, classes will be cancelled, and coaches will call. We will keep our fingers crossed for nice weather will be upon us and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this policy may cause!

TENNIS FOR TOTS & U-7 TENNIS (COMBINED 4-7 YEARS OLD)
EJTS tennis programs are learn-to-play programs with the emphasis on fun exercises, games, and cooperative play to develop hand-eye coordination and introductory tennis skills. This program is specifically tailored to introductory tennis skills at the younger ages, introducing fundamental physical literacy movements and teaching basic racquet and ball skills. Older players will practice coordination and ball skills such as softly lofting to a partner so they can bump the ball up and eventually return it back across the net. As forehand and backhand rally skills begin to develop game playing will be introduced. Serving and volleying skills will also be introduced as players’ progress through the course. No tennis experience necessary.

They are affiliated with Tennis Canada and Tennis Alberta, and enjoy the support of local sponsors, offering affordable and accessible tennis programs at both indoor and outdoor facilities.
The EJTS coaches are Tennis Professional Association of Canada-certified instructors who are committed to Tennis Canada’s quality standards, working on skills development while emphasizing that tennis is most of all, FUN!
Note for ALL programs: Please bring non-marking running shoes, comfortable clothing (shorts, t-shirts, sweats) and a water bottle. Fun filled story-based coordination games and activities are at the core of the program with essential skills such as controlled ball throwing and catching, and ball guiding, balancing, and striking are taught. Tots will have the opportunity to return coach or parent fed balls with their forehand.

Level Up Athletics
We are a new camp company, but by no means are we new to camp. Coach Craig and Coach Luke have combined to run over 200 sports camps for kids over the past 20 years in and around Alberta. Our mission is to provide a fun and intense camp atmosphere where athletes can work to LEVEL UP their game.
We love sports and want to see young athletes grow and develop skills in the sports that they love. We guarantee a fantastic camp experience for your athlete. Our experience ranges from working with kids under two to university athletes and everything in between.
At Level Up, we view sports as a tool to help kids thrive in life. The exercise, structure, expectations, skill development, and lessons learned at our camps ensure that your week at Level Up will be one of the best weeks of your summer.

We spend one hour working on fundamentals through a bunch of games and drills, one hour working on skills and drills, and one hour competing in games.

This camp is open to all skills and knowledge of basketball! So whether you have played before or not, there is a spot for you to spend the morning with us!
We ask that children bring their own water bottles and snacks, as break time will be allocated.
This camp is for young players who want to learn more about the game and how to be an impact player for the teams they play on throughout the year. We will teach skills and work with players to transfer these skills into gameplay. It will be a combination of drills, practicing game situations and scrimmaging. We will be playing a lot of 3 on 3 this week.

Canadian Firearms Safety Course
Interested in firearms? Thinking of hunting season or a trip to the range? In order to buy, borrow, or own a non-restricted firearm you must do this course. Successful students will take home the paperwork to apply for a Possession & Acquisition License. Ages 12 and up. Minors are very much encouraged to bring a parent.

Basic First Aid With Level C Cpr
Formerly called ‘Emergency First Aid’, this 8 hour course provides training for cardiovascular emergencies (CPR) for adults, children and infants, and automated external defibrillator (AED) protocols and skills for dealing with obstructed airways (choking). Other topics covered include emergency scene management, severe bleeding and PPE.

INTERMEDIATE FIRST AID WITH LEVEL C CPR (BLENDED)
Formerly called ‘Standard First Aid’, in this comprehensive course you will learn CPR and AED protocols for cardiovascular emergencies for adults, children and infants, and skills for dealing with choking, emergency scene management (including secondary assessment), breathing emergencies, head/spinal/pelvic injuries, and wound care (including bone and joint injuries).
This program is offered as Blended Learning which consists of the Online Portion and the Skills (InPerson) Portion. You MUST complete the Online Portion before you can gain entrance to the Skills (In-Person) Portion. It is recommended that you spend ~4-8 hours online completing the Online Portion. To ensure adequate time to do the Online Portion, registration will end on April 23rd.

MINDS IN MOTION©
Minds in Motion is a program designed for people with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia to enjoy with a friend, family member, or care partner. The program combines physical activity and mental stimulation in a social environment. Created by the Alzheimer Society, the 1.5 hour class starts with our certified fitness instructor leading a low-impact fitness class, and then our trained facilitator engages participants in social and cognitive activities.
Classes are limited to three participants and their care partner, providing a comfortable environment with just enough social interaction. Each session is six classes long, for $100.50.

Join us for various types of art brought to you by local professionals, and instructors of the Artists Association of Beaumont! We offer both progressive classes and workshop formats, so you can pick and choose which ones you would like to experience! Unless otherwise stated, supplies will be provided for all classes.
Oil Paintings Basic Workshop
In this fun multi-week workshop you will learn the basics of how to work with oil paints while you paint. Learn techniques of blending and layering colours to create intensity and luminosity. Make some new friends and share in the joy of learning the basics of painting. At the end you will take home 2 of your own works of art!
All supplies will be included in the course. If you are a returning student and already have supplies, call Guest Services for assistance to register at the ‘no supplies needed’ rate of $110.

Acrylic Painting Basics

Print Making Workshop
Participants will learn how to carve a soft rubber block and print their own design which can be used to create cards for gift-giving or as coloured prints suitable for framing. Examples will be shown and participants will come away with a clear understanding of the tools, materials, process and potential for further projects.

Calling all beginner/intermediate photographers… learn to take stunning floral photographs at this one-day workshop! Spend 2 hours in the classroom learning tips and tricks, then go outdoors to a regional garden for 3 hours of instructor-led practice. A final hour to review images and ask follow-up questions will be arranged at a time that works for all the students. Bring your camera, lunch, and a water bottle. PARENT’S NIGHT OUT (3-12 YEARS OLD)
CALLING ALL PARENTS! This one is for you. You deserve a night off, and we will give it to you! Bring your kiddo to us for 3 hours of fun, games, activities, and laughter, while you do what you need want to do! Our trained Child Mind attendants will look after your kids, giving you the time to shop, have a date night, clean, or just relax!
Drop-off starts at 5:45 p.m. Pick-up ends at 9:15 p.m. We will supply a healthy snack and a take-home craft. Please send your kiddo with a water bottle. We will be in touch prior to Survival Night to check on possible allergies and other concerns.
