DAUN LESS This time of year is always so beautiful in the States. I love watching as nature comes to life. I love the beautiful weather. One of my favorite things to do during this time of year is to go on adventures in the outdoors. I love to explore and see the beauty of God’s creation. I love getting to breathe in the fresh air, feel the warmth of the sun and relax knowing that God is in control. It is a good reminder for all of us to take a minute to relax and breathe. To remember that we do not have to do everything on our own. We have a loving, Heavenly Father who takes great care of us, when we let him. #bringingbeautifulback #dauntlessstrong XOXO

od really is simple. He’s not complex as some made Him to be. Yes, His ways are not
our ways nor His thoughts ours; yet, in all of His sovereignty, He’s exact and matter of fact. God means what He says and says what He means. Faith moves and pleases God; it compels Him to work in your best interest bringing it out - to come about and be. Settling your hope and confidence in Him, despite what or the ever is the correct course of every time. Sometimes, from our perception, what God asks of us seems impossible, difficult, risky, costly, uncomfortable and/or an inconvenience. However, you’ve got to realize what we’re possessing that He’s instructing and/or leading you to do, give, bring about or release has already come equipped with everything required to manifest into existence the end result He predestined all the while for either us or others. But, to get to that place with Him, you’ve got to truly know Him and then trust Him. It’s hard to place your trust into someone or something you don’t know. Trust is the essential ingredient to enhance the stability, durability and longevity within any relationship. Knowing God and knowing “of” Him are two different things. Knowing God is being cognizant of the fact that your trust is the glue that permits one to affix his/herself to Him-the bond. Knowing “of” Him is having your memory re-jogged of others’ stories and/or testimonies of God that you “know” but you just don’t have your personal story between you and God. Now, for the woman that gave the best offering than any other person in the congregation in service with Jesus and the disciples in attendance, she knew. Giving her last, only 2 mites, could only be achieved through her faith and trust in God. Being in a sincere relationship with Him carried over and showed up in her offering. A sacrificial offering at that. She gave out of love, need (as it was her last ) and value (again as it was her last). This special lady understood the assignment in trust, faith and sacrificial giving. God always wants you to give your best and jovially! Therefore, I petition that you take time to see the importance in proclaiming God to be your Lord and ask Him to come into life to be saved or if you already have but went in your own opposite direction and to repent asking for forgiveness and allowing Him to take lead again-please do so, so that you can affix yourself to Him. Remember, it is in the relationship, the bond, the giving of yourself that is the greatest sacrificial gift of all to God because all He wants is you. And, when he has you, God can move and be what He needs to be for you. Trust me. He is waiting and standing there with open arms and an abundance of authentic unconditional love saying ever so softly, “Give me your all”.

I just love springtime. I love watching as vibrant flowers begin to appear in the
stores and the grass gets green outside. I love seeing the leaves begin to fill the trees and the trees as they begin to bloom if they have flowers on them. It’s a season of new life, of beauty, and grace. One of my favorite verses in the Bible, comes from Matthew 8:28-29. It says, “And why do you worry about your clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” Often times as women, I think that we don’t pay as much attention to this verse as we should. In the verse, Jesus is telling us not to worry about our clothes. And maybe back then it had a different meaning. It may have referred to where their clothes was coming from or if they were going to have clothing to wear because they were not a as blessed and prosperous as we are now. They may have only had one or two different articles of clothing as compared to a whole clothes closet full. But I think in today’s terms it can hit a little differently for us as women. A lot of women have difficulty with clothing. They worry about whether the clothing is too tight or makes them look fat, makes them look too skinny or too short or whatever. And honestly that is all vain. We do not need to worry about our clothing. As a stylist and a confidence coach, I work on encouraging women all over to see themselves as a beautiful masterpiece that they are. A piece of clothing cannot do anything to you. It is you that makes a piece of clothing look amazing. It is when we find our confidence that we are able to look at a piece of clothing and instead of asking whether it looks good on us or not we say, “Man, I make this dress look good.”

A lot of times I hear women saying that they don’t think they can pull off a piece of clothing or an accessory. Maybe it’s a bright bold color and they’re not used to wearing something so bright. Maybe it’s a fun, wild pattern and they don’t really wear patterns. But the way that fashion works (and no one tells you this) is if you like some thing and it is in your size fitting comfortably (not too tight, not too loose) then wear it. Wear it with all the confidence that you have. You’ll find that the more confidence you have in an outfit the more compliments you’re going to get. Because outfits are cute and great and all of that but it’s your confidence that attracts people not your outfit. It is the way you walk in an outfit, the way that you carry yourself that makes or breaks that outfit. I think it’s time for a lot of us women to start to bloom. To start something new with our life. Start something new with our fashion habits and our mindsets towards ourselves. Jesus said not to worry about your clothing and you don’t have to worry about your clothing. You look great as long as you’re walking in the confidence of who you are as a child of God. God said that he created you and when he did, he made you a masterpiece. There is nothing greater than a masterpiece that God has created. There’s nothing more beautiful, there’s nothing more unique, there’s nothing more intricate and special as as each one of us are. God loves you and spent so much time working and creating you and he wants you to bloom in this new season. He made you to be a beautiful woman. He didn’t mess up on you. He didn’t leave anything out on you. He made you just as you were made to be. And he loves you just as you are. Therefore you need to love yourself as the child of God that you are. I’m not saying that there are not things that we all want to work on in “fixing” ourselves. For myself, I would love to finally get braces on my teeth so that they can be straight. I know others want to lose a couple pounds, others want to gain a few pounds and those things are are all doable. But don’t beat yourself up about the small things about the little flaws that you think you have. And don’t let a piece of clothing define you or make or break you. As I said in the beginning you are the one that makes the outfit, the outfit doesn’t make you. 41

Acai Bowl Ingredients: 1 banana - sliced and frozen ½ cup blueberries - frozen
½ cup strawberries - frozen
¾ cup milk or juice - use your favorite milk (dairy, soy, almond, etc) or juice (apple or grape)
½ cup plain yogurt - (substitute with milk or juice if desired) 200 grams (2 packets) frozen acai puree broken into pieces
Assorted toppings - nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, granola, coconut, etc

Directions: Blend. Frozen fruits work best for acai bowls. Once frozen, add the milk and yogurt to the bowl of a large blender. Blend well for one minute. Add the frozen blueberries, strawberries, banana, and broken up acai. With the blender on low, push the frozen fruit down, mixing around as much as possible. Continue to blend on low until smooth, only adding additional liquid when needed. Assemble. Divide the smoothie into two bowls and top with all your favorite toppings. Popular additions include sliced banana, nuts, seeds, granola, and berries. Best servedimmediately.
