HELLO
I am learning more and more how important it is to listen to what we think about. To zero in on our thoughts, especially the thoughts we think about ourselves. If you think negative things about your body, your success, your skills or anything else related to you and who you are, your thoughts are toxic. I have lived with toxic thoughts for the majority of my life and I am still learning that I have more. Once you start thinking toxic, those toxic thoughts become like weeds in your mind and start sprouting up everywhere. It takes a lot more work to pull out all those toxic thoughts than it does to stop them before they start. One of the most important reminders that this magazine will help you with this month is to remember that God calls you important. Multiple times in the Bible, we are called God’s masterpiece, his workmanship, and it says that we are set apart. The Bible is filled with the wonderful thoughts that God has towards you. If God thinks wonderful things about you, don’t you think you should think wonderful things as well? Stay positive beauty #bringingbeautifulback XOXO,

Karissa Hagemeister-Irani is on a life long journey to share love, beauty and truth with the world. She enjoys modeling, acting and singing. She has her own fashion line and in July of 2016, Karissa published her first book. Her future plans are to revamp the fashion & entertainment industry with the love, truth and beauty through both her fashion business and Beautiful & Dauntless magazine. Editor-in-Chief of the Dauntless section of the magazine, Arman Irani, married Karissa in June of 2019.

Arman Irani is just another fellow human. He’s admittedly a little bit nerdy. How nerdy? Well, he just received a Bachelors degree in Nanotechnology. Arman loves working out, cooking healthy, dressing up, traveling and he’s also a bit of a gamer. He has no qualms with moving in faith to new destinations and embarking on new adventures in life (as the phrase goes, you only live once!). When it comes down to it, Arman believes life is short and hopes that you become inspired and believe in yourself to do the things that you want in this life and follow your calling.

Arnette German is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She took her leap of faith and finally decided to yield to her passion for fashion by enrolling in the online Graduate Program of Fashion Journalism at Academy Art University in San Francisco, California. No stranger to the stage, Arnette is a member of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Presently calling Bradenton, Florida home, Arnette spends her free time either volunteering at her local church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend. Hello my loves! I’m back with a sentimental love note to remind you all of what I Am pronounces who You Are! Globally, as we’re all existing in this undefined time due to Covid-19 pandemic, one thing for certain that shouldn’t be doubtful or up grabs is God’s love and His stance towards His own! I Am states that You Are worthy and important to Him! In spite of how our employers and/or the economy is handling us now, to how you’re actually even feeling about yourself in the midst of all this...I Am has prescribed 1 Peter 2:9 to be reiterated to you! Now, if this doesn’t reignite that “umph” to your pep in your step again-there are more priceless You Are’s that can be found by reading more of His word (even googling them now), speaking to other believers or simply asking Him to guide you to more of His truths He has for us. Beautiful, “you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light,” I Am deems You Are essential to Him and to this world (1 Peter 2:9 KJV).

Loves, during this scary, mysterious and problematic time, You Are appointed and anointed to facilitate in showing others, non believers or those straddling the fence on how to act accordingly during this moment in time....to keep the praise on going to I Am. Why You Are? Regardless of what we faced or will face, we know that our circumstances don’t dictate our reverence due to Him. It’s understood we don’t just praise Him when He pulls us out, gets us through or answers a prayer-no! It’s when our perception is at an interesting high and it “looks like” or “feels like” He isn’t there, or our Daddy isn’t even going to show up. But by knowing and/ or remembering whose we are, who we belong to and who He is, the King of Kings- I Am...our responsibility in adhering to the directive to break out in dance or song seems...makes...the worthy seem unworthy as it recognized our praise is an invaluable honor and role being included with the angels to continuously showcase His glory! After all, He did say, You Are lower underneath the angels, in His word, (Hebrews 2: 7-9 KJV), now that’s some ranking for you huh?!? Now, if that doesn’t make you feel needed, essential or worthy...I Am and I will get with your You Are to have some one-on-one time to make 1 Peter 2:9 your theme from here on out! My loves, until next time...know what all that I Am declares that You Are (Shout it)...Essential!

By Karissa Hagemeister-Irani It is all too easy to be consumed with thoughts of ourselves. Most of the time we do not even realize that we are thinking about ourselves or even notice what thoughts we are having towards ourselves. If we are not careful, our thoughts can often be very negative and unfruitful for our lives. How can we retrain our mind to stop focusing on all the negative things and stop being negative towards ourselves? First of all, it is a matter of training. It is not a fast nor an easy process. The truth is, it can be quite difficult especially if you have been stuck in that way of thinking for several years. Second of all, the biggest and the most helpful tool that you can use to do this retraining is the Bible. It says in Psalm 139: 17-18 “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” God thinks about you all the time. More than you think about yourself. His thoughts towards you are PRECIOUS. He is not thinking negative things about you. Never once does God look down at his creation and say, “Wow! I wish I did not make _________..” He does not see you as stupid. He does not see you as ugly. He does not see you as boring or lame. He does not see you as worthless. Instead, he sees you and he thinks, “Wow! Would you just look at my masterpiece right there. Isn’t she just beautiful? You know, I made her just the way I wanted her to look. She looks perfect to me.”

We should challenge ourselves daily to be aware of how we think and replace the bad, negative thoughts with the good, healthy ones. The thoughts that God thinks of us are the thoughts that we should adopt as our own. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago,” (Ephesians 2:10). God created every person on this earth. Yet he calls you important. How can that be? God sees every person as important. God thinks about and cares for each person equally. He created each person with an important purpose and mission on this earth. He did not leave anyone out and he did not skimp on any person. I think most of the time, our thoughts are focused on areas where we feel we are lacking. God says you are more than enough. When he created you, he said you were good. He said your life is good and your purpose is good. One of the biggest enemies in this fight to retrain our minds is comparison. How often do you look at someone else and wish you had something or some part of them? Or maybe you wish you could be them? Comparing yourself to someone else is always going to make you unhappy with who you are and who God made you to be. If you take anything away from this article, remember this, God thinks highly of you. Think about the things that he says about you. Stop comparing yourself with others. You are you and only you.

There are moments in our lives that we may feel that the waves of the trending river current carry us along with the over-saturated media that seeks to paint everyone with a similar idealism. Think alike. Dress alike. Act alike. Be one with masses and sacrifice your individual voice to the uproar surrounding you. Blend in. Be like them to be one with them. (Them can be who or what ever it may be in your present life.) We make the attempt. We give it our all, but it just does not feel right. We try to blend in, fit in, assimilate... but it does not work out well. We continue to stand out. It is in the standing out that God calls to us. He did not make us to go with the flow. He made us to swim against the tide. He calls us to be light in the midst of darkness. He made us to be the salt of this Earth. We are a chosen people because of God’s love for us being so profound. To Him we are of the utmost importance. As a candle that breathes light into the darkness of conformity, we blaze. As a light house that rises above the storm to guide sailors along their way, we blaze. As a raging wildfire that consumes Evergreens so that the pine-cones can bare its seeds, we blaze. We were made with purpose beyond our comprehension. Despite the thunderous and chaotic situations we face day to day, God calls us worthy and cherishes us so. We are meant to be one of a kind and above all continue to blaze!

Blueberry, Corn & Feta Salad
Ingredients: 8 medium ears sweet corn 3 tablespoons olive oil 3 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar (or vinegar of your choice) 1 tablespoon minced fresh chives 3/4 teaspoon sea salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 cup fresh blueberries 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Directions: 1. Peel the corn husks. Rewrap the corn in their husks and secure with a cooking string. Place in a pot and cover with cold water. Soak for 20 minutes, then drain. 2. Grill corn, covered, over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until they are tender. Make sure to turn them often. Cut the string and peel back the husks. Cool slightly. Cut corn from their cobs and transfer to a large bowl. 3. In a small bowl, whisk the oil, vinegar, chives, salt and pepper together. Pour over the corn and toss to. Gently fold in blueberries and feta. Garnish with additional chives if desired. This serves as a great side salad.

Ingredients: 1 box of white GF cake mix Blueberry filling: 1 1/4 cups blueberries 2 tsp lemon juice 1/4 cup sugar
Strawberry Filling: 1 1/4 cups diced strawberries 2 tsp lemon juice 1/4 cup sugar Frosting: 2 8 oz packs of cream cheese softened 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
Instructions:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla
In a small pot over medium heat, combine blueberries, lemon juice, and sugar. Cover and bring to simmer. Take off the lid and let the berries simmer for 7-10 minutes, stirring often. Follow the same process for strawberries. Puree strawberries and blueberries separately. Put into two separate small bowls and set aside until ready to use. Cupcakes: Follow instructions on the box to prepare the cupcakes. Let cupcakes cool completely. Frosting: Combine butter and cream cheese together, on medium-high speed, until smooth, for about 2 minutes. Turn the speed to low and beat in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat for a couple more minutes until the frosting is light, smooth and fluffy. Take out half the frosting and put in a separate bowl. Whisk in 1 1/2 Tbsp of blueberry filling to one half and 1 1/2 Tbsp of strawberry filling to another half. Fill two separate piping bags with blueberry and strawberry frosting. Cut off tips about Âź inch wide and add them, side by side into one piping bag, fitted with a frosting tip. Tie a rubber band on the end of the piping bags to keep the frosting in. Finishing cupcakes: Using a small cookie dough scoop, scoop out some of the cupcake on top and then fill each cupcake hole with a little over a teaspoon of strawberry or blueberry filling. Frost each cupcake with prepared blueberry/strawberry frosting and enjoy.

As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light,” (1 Peter 2:9 NLT). What an important and gratifying gift we have from the King of Kings. To be chosen for his Kingdom. I always find it very heart warming to remember this, even on the toughest days God considers us as important and special as on the days we have that are the most amazing. To be 100% honest with y’all some days are very tough and the battle is rough but it’s amazing to know that we are so important to God that he knows the number of the hairs on our head and he knows the plans he has for us. I know it is not easy to trust in him always in every circumstance of life, but the more I read and understand, I’m learning more and more that this is EXACTLY what Abba desires for us. To put our entire trust in him: many men in the Bible did it and were successful. In fact his own son Jesus did it for a multitude of things. He left the “work” he had here on earth to get away to a quiet place with his father and also to seek ministering from angels in the garden. 50

you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:25-34 NLT) So remember, Men you are important not because any human person told you so, because people can be double minded and that will do you no good. Put your hope, trust and love into a relationship with God 1st and he will most definitely add to your life the things you need when you need it according to his plan, grace and glory. God is good all the time. He never fails, and when we are weak he is strong. I pray this month that God shows you how important you are to him. 53

DAUN LESS I hope you men are doing well this month… What a crazy year we have had so far, what a way to test our Faith in our mighty God. Well, although things have been a bit nuts with this Covid19 (what happened to 1-18??): popular celebs dying left and right, business being closed down, mask mandates and just a higher atmosphere of fear being projected on everyone… Alpha and Omega is still in control and still finds us as important as before. I just want to share something with you all that the Lord has put on my heart to speak out. Our great nation of America is and has been under trial since the founding of the USA. We are a great people of many different ethnicities, cultures and ideas. But all came here to create a better life. God chose us to be Blessed just like he did Israel and to soar to new heights which we have experienced since the foundation. However, just like Israel we have largely turned away from worshiping and praying and seeking God in our lives as a Nation then when we first started out. Instead we have continued to worship idols of stone, statues, wood, money, etc. Instead of the Creator we are worshiping the creation. I ask you as Dauntless men to be different, be a holy people again, stand out amongst your friends, be who God created you to be… Fear of God is better than fear of man. For our bodies are just of flesh and blood but our spirit is eternal. Remember the battle is already won when we chose to give our lives to the King. Now live like it, act like it, and do as the Lord commands. Stay humble, stay meek and with a repentant heart go about your day. I don’t know about you guys but I want to bear fruit for the kingdom.. I know Jesus is always watching and that’s what matters to me. Will we make mistakes?… yes… will our lives not be perfect? yes.. Will we have troubles and tribulations?… yes… But our God will always take care of us, will always provide and be our shelter. So Men be Proud of who you are.. And where you’re at and know that in time and with a good relationship with the King he can turn your life around and our nation around. As always: Stay Strong, Stay Dauntless, Stay Blessed.
