EDITOR'S NOTE Your majesty Have you ever attended a funeral and had such a great time that you realized that you had forgotten that you were at a funeral? Not because you don’t care about the deceased or bereaved family but because the one who is deceased was a Born Again, spirit filled child of God. So, in the month of April I attended a funeral of a Born-Again Christian which was my very first time attending such a funeral and I am so ever grateful for it. It changed my life and perspective when it comes to death, our souls and the people left behind. At this funeral we found ourselves rejoicing, worshiping, praising and giving thanks to our King. We were giving thanks because the Bible commands us to do so in all situations and this was no different. As Apostle Paul says; “Rejoice in the Lord I say rejoice’’. We do not give thanks for the situation, but we give thanks in the situation because it doesn’t change who God is, He remains faithful. Why should we cry and mourn whilst we know the departed soul has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior? I’m not one to envy but that day I sure did. When I thought of how she had finished the race and was going to be in Heaven forever and ever and ever and everything in this world was nothing but the past to her. It has made me more eager to run my race and finish it in the Lord, so I can be with Our King. The deceased, or should I say the ones that are resting have run their race and finished it. Now I’ts up to us who are still in this world to do the same. Have you sat and done an introspection honestly and asked yourself where are you going to spend your eternity? I also realized how time is not on our side and how we have no idea when our time will come and that is why we need to be ready at all times. None the less what an honor it is to be chosen amongst billions to be a child of God, not because of what I’ve done or who I am but because of who God is, mercy and grace. Let’s not make God regret ever doing that and do what we have been called to do in this world and that is winning souls. At Beauty&TheGospel we are all about growth and that is why we strive to add more content in every issue and this one is no different. Be on the look out for the new articles and I hope they change your life and perspective like it has changed ours. That’s it for now till next time, you’re loved by HIM and me. EMPRESS TEEKAY

JESUS MY REALITY!
I am a Born-Again gospel musician. I’m currently on Joyous Celebration and an artist on her own from Thabong in Welkom. How and when did you become Born Again? Since a young age I grew up in the church and I had always been interested in knowing Jesus personally. So, it happened one day that Pastor Mazibuko was preaching and from then I decided to commit. That was in 2007. When I say the name Jesus what comes to mind? Love When did you become part of Joyous Celebration and how has the journey been so far? I joined in 2011 for Joyous Celebration 16. Wow, the journey has been amazing not only that, but I have learned a lot. How has your perception of music industry changed since you joined it? It definitely has. I’v e realized that in the music industry it’s essential to be working hard over and over again, whether you’v e made it or not! The difference of being in a group and a solo artist, from the challenges to the perks? On Joyous Celebration things are done for you that’s a perk. Then as a solo artist you have to do things for yourself and it becomes a challenge because you realize that you haven’t done anything, which can be stressful at times that has be one of the challenges.
You have a new album out, please take us into the process from the beginning and why the title “Jesus my Reality’’? This is my second album, the first one was called Living God. It was released in 2010 which had the songs like Mathata Hao and worship medley. Jesus my Reality is my 2nd album, it came out on the 14th of February 2018. This album is a reflection of the journey I’v e had with Jesus after 9 years of ups and downs and within that I’v e found Him to be real. What inspired or pushed you to release an album? I work in the music business, so having an album is a prerequisite hahaha and is part of my work. Also, another reason for releasing this album is to promote Jesus, as He’s my destiny. To someone listening to your album, what do you want them to know, feel and favorite track if possible to choose? I want people to know through this album the realness of who I am and what is helping me be here right now and that is Jesus! I give Him all the Glory because I used to be so corrupt. My favorite song hmmmm well, all of them are my favorite which I’m sure is pretty much obvious.
What would you be doing if music wasn’t in the picture? Whew, I would have been a lot of things, a DJ, private detective, PA to the president lol and pathologist, According to Andiswa what are the perks of being Born Again? A peaceful mind in a loud world! What challenges have you faced or are still facing as a Born Again Christian female? For me the first challenge has to be about knowing who you are in Christ Jesus. I have a challenge with knowing who I am, and I’v e realized that when I spend time with Him I become free and when I don’t I lose it. Basically, He is an everyday choice to our challenges. If Jesus were to visit you for one day, what would you say to Him and how would you spend the rest of the day with Him? WOW, I would tell HIM thank you for loving me unconditionally. When it comes to spending the rest of the day, we would spend it convincing those who don’t believe in Him to try Him. If you could change some things within the modern church (us Christians), what would it be? Hahaha, I would change any worship team that doesn’t sound professional.
Favourite book, scripture and character from the Bible? Heaven so is real: John 10 v 10 Abraham Plans for the rest of the year? To push my album. I have my 3rd annual AndiswaInConcert show in WELKOM, tour South Africa and buy me a car. Last words or rather advice for the young Christians? God knows exactly where, how, why and for who. He knows exactly where you must be, talk to Him every day about everything.

I'M NEW
Monthly Devotion I’ve come across books that were written in the 90’s by Radio Pulpit titled “Bread upon the waters”. They are books written so we could have a daily devotion. What’s so amazing about these books is the fact that till this day they are so informative and relevant more than ever. So in every issue a page or two will be published. This devotion is based on the book of Timothy with the heading: TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Read 2 Timothy 4:1-5 This section emphasizes Paul’s earnestness as he writes to Timothy. This earnestness is because time is running out. Like Timothy we, too, must bear in mind Christ’s return and spread the gospel of the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ as quickly and effectively as possible. Although there will always be those who are not interested in the scriptures, we must not become discouraged. Our task is to continue to patiently proclaim the Word at every opportunity. We are much closer to the Rapture than Timothy was, therefore this earnest message is probably even more applicable today. There are so many people in so many countries who have never heard of the gospel and others choose not to respond to God’s Word. Are we really doing enough to spread the Word? Our country would not be in such a critical situation if the church had been more faithful in proclaiming the Word to all people. We are not pointing a finger at others because you and I are the church! We need to earnestly heed the call and proclaim the gospel with renewed enthusiasm. Prayer: Lord, help me to proclaim Your Word with new zeal and enthusiasm.

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT HE CAN? We are so honored to share this beautiful article written by Angus Buchan . A Born Again spirit filled servant of the Gospel. Thanking you once again Angus for sharing this article with us . He is an Author, Farmer, Husband, Father and Grandfather. Do you believe that He can? There are two words that God gave me – to persist and to pursue. And we need to start doing this in our life. Too many of us give up and/or keep changing direction, so we never really amount to anything. We need to hear from God what He wants us to do and then pursue it with our whole heart. Think of the two blind men who wanted Jesus to heal them and so pursued him (Matthew 9:27-30). When they caught up with Him, Jesus asked them: “Do you believe that I can?” We believe, Lord,” they answered. Jesus prayed for them and the Bible says their eyes were opened and they went away rejoicing. Their faith had made them well. It’s all about believing – believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, believing that He is a miracle worker and believing that He is the same, yesterday and forevermore

IT IS VERY EASY TO DIE! (PART 1) WRITTEN BY: M.K
It is appointed for a man to die once, thereafter judgement. There are two most important events in a person’s life. Firstly, it’s the day you are born and secondly, the day you die! As a human being you have no choice as to how, where, when will these events take place. Hence the Bible states that be always ready because you don’t know the day nor the hour. I know we always casually say “life is too short”. Yes, life is very short indeed because within the twinkling of an eye you can lose it. Every breath or step you take, you are moving towards the end of your life, all I’m saying is it is very easy to die. I say this because no place is ever safe where you can be guaranteed that you will never die in. Whether you’re sleeping, walking, driving, at home or in the car. Being healthy doesn’t guarantee long life either. You can step out of your house only to be hit by a bus, lightning, stray bullet or have a heart attack etc. Everywhere you are, you are at risk of dying any second. Death is a mystery that only God Himself knows, hence He gave us all the precautions of avoiding eternal spiritual death. Physical death is for every human being, it doesn’t discriminate or ask for your permission at all. We are given a choice on how to live on earth. We are given a choice on where to spend eternity.
"BE WATCHFUL, STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH ACT LIKE MEN , BE STRONG" 1 CORINTHIANS 16:13
Heaven and hell are so real and if you choose heaven you have made a very wise choice, if you choose hell, unfortunately it is point of no return. You cannot change your choice afterwards, that’s why when you are on earth you need to decide where you want to spend your eternity. Once you leave this earth, the minute you pass on, your choice is activated. Death comes without warning, unfortunately how or when you will meet with death has been kept a secret. You know, whilst growing up only sickly, old and frail people were the ones who were expected to die. Now the times we are living in all of that has changed and death has become imminent to all human beings regardless of age. Let’s not allow death to find us unprepared. People are always prepared when it comes to their burial which is the physical home but neglect their spiritual homes, how sad. These days people try to outdo each other by having the best funerals and in that case funeral parlors must upgrade their packages every time to keep clients happy. What pains me is no one seems to think that the body must go back to the dust and the spirit that was breathed in man must go back to where it came from.Accept Him today as Lord and Saviour. You cannot afford to die without Him.
If you want to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer
31 SILENT FACTS ABOUT THE RAPTURE by: UNKNOWN
This is something you may have never read before or probably heard of. With that being said please pay attention to each one and carefully think about them all! These are 16 of the 31 silent facts about the Rapture . Look out for the remaining 15 facts in the next issue.
1. It is going to be the next greatest event that will shock all the continents of the world (Matt 24:40-44). 2. It is going to take place suddenly, abruptly, unexpectedly, without warning and without prior notice (1 Thess 5:2). 3. There shall be no second version of the event (1Thess 5:4). 4. A greater percentage of Christians may be taken unaware (Matt 24:38-39). 5. Careless Christians who miss the event will have no other similar gracious opportunity (Matt 13:49-50). 6. The event shall have no regard or respect for ecclesiastical titles or church leadership positions (Matt 5:20).
7. It shall be day when the sheep shall be separated from the goats (Matt 25:32-33). 8. The day shall differentiate between the Broadway Christians and the Narrow Way Christians (Matt 7:13-14) 9. The day shall separate sincerity from hypocrisy (Gal 5:21) The day differentiate between those who harbor secret sins from those who abhor secret sins (Gal 5:20-21). 10. The shall separate those whose lives are hidden Christ from who are hiding in the church (Luke 13:27) 11. The day shall show a glaring, clear, conspicuous, demarcation between Christians who walk on the path of holiness from those who walk on the path of worldliness (Heb 12:14).
12. It shall be the day of double emotion: joy for some and unimaginable, indescribable, uncontrollable regrets for others (Luke 13:28). 13. It shall be a day of surprise some “big names” may miss the flight while some “less known” may be on board (1 Cor 1:27). 14. Another surprise maybe that a man or woman who had faithfully served the Lord for many years may defile his or her garment a few minutes before the sound of that summoning trumpet and miss the flight while a notorious sinner may surrender his or her life to Jesus within the same time frame and go to Heaven (Ezekiel 3:20). 15. This event may happen now, today, this week, this month, this year or next year (Matt 24:26).
16. Wise Christians, like the five virgins that took extra oil are expected to get ready, yes, to get prepared (Matt 25:1-13).
YOUNG, MARRIED &
BORN AGAIN Danielle: I am a daughter of the King of Kings, a wife to my wonderful husband and a mama to three beautiful children. I have a passion for purity and to declare a message of hope and restoration back to our Heavenly Father.
Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate . -Ecclesiastes 4:12 A wedding is a ceremony where two people are united in marriage. Created by God for us. We can never learn enough and this couple from Victoria BC in Canada does exactly that, they teach , encourage and live. Enjoy and make sure you have a note book with you , you will definitely be taking notes.
Justin: I am the son of the King of Kings who works for a landscaping company and have a huge passion for acting and bringing God’s truth to the film world. I have overcome a 20 year old addiction to pornography and am totally free. God has taught me to fight and how to overcome. I’d love to see other men and women set free.
How and when did you meet? We actually met when we were 10 and 12 years old. My family had moved to a small town for a year and then we moved away. We had reconnected as friends when we were in our 20’s and then while He was in an addiction program, God had showed him one day while he was worshiping that I was his wife, in which he ran from for 5 years but God, brought it together in His timing. How long did you date before you got married? We courted/dated for 6 months before we got married and 3 months before we got engaged. How did you individually know that He, She was the one? Well our story is not your typical one but it’s so written for us by God. Justin: I knew right away when God showed me that I was to be her husband. Danielle: I had actually had a dream, where when I woke up I knew he was to be my husband. The fact that he guarded my heart and was willing to refrain from any physical closeness, instantly that was a huge sign that he would be a great husband and protector. When did you get married? We got married July 13th 2014. Take us through the process of the wedding celebration how was that and if there are any changes you could have made? Our wedding was so God focused and beautiful not because of the pretty decorations or because
of the pretty decorations or because everything went right but because you could feel God’s presence so strong, we worshiped together with everyone at the wedding. We took communion together, wrote our own vows and I walked down the aisle to “beautiful things” by Gungor which speaks about how God makes broken things beautiful and we had our very first kiss with each other at the altar. We had an open mic at our reception and people blessed us and encouraged us with sweet words. The best part of our wedding was that it was pointed to Gods greatness, goodness, and redemption. Has your relationship changed from dating to marriage? Yes, but we actually didn’t really “date too much” while we were courting/dating because of the season we were in, we also wanted to do things with people more than be alone to protect our purity. When we got married we started “dating” more and it was fun but then shortly after we got married, our past really started to come up and things were very hard for the first year and a half of our marriage. Now that God has done so much healing in our marriage, we have lots of fun together even more than when we were dating. If you could change the perception that people have about marriage, what would it be? I hate it when I hear people say things like: “oh marriage is so hard” yes, marriage can be hard but so can life and anything that has value costs something. I also hate it when people say, “oh now that you’re married the sex stops”.
It makes me so sad because sex in marriage is the best and so worth the wait. Marriage is a beautiful thing and it’s so worth fighting for. For the single person out there, wondering when they are getting married, what advice would you give them? This is such an important question. I would say pursue Jesus with everything you’ve got, make Him your everything so when that man comes in your life you won’t settle for anything less than Gods best and you will know your worth and won’t sell yourself cheap. How do you deal with problems that you encounter as a married couple? We used to ignore them or “fuel each other’s fire” but now we try come at it from: 1. How does Jesus see that person? 2. Always try to think the best about that person, like how they didn’t really mean to hurt me, something must be going on and then sharing our hearts openly and honestly. Vulnerability is key and also praying and asking God for His wisdom as He knows our spouses way better than we do. Challenges you’re facing as a young, married born again couple? Right now, probably our biggest challenge is the way we communicate with each other. We have 3 children, which are under the ages of 3, so life is busy. We have to be intentional about our marriage and getting that quality time together.
04
Things you wish you were told about marriage? I feel like we focus a lot on getting married and then once you’re married, you’re complete and all your issues go away but it’s actually the opposite, it actually magnifies any issues you have and if you’re not a whole person going into marriage, your spouse wont and was never meant to “complete” you. Who is Jesus Christ to you as a couple? Jesus is our everything personally and as a couple. If it wasn't for Jesus honestly we probably wouldn't have made it. He is the center of our marriage. One word, if possible to describe your marriage? Unimaginable or just keeps getting better What advice can you give to those who are in the process of getting married? I would say marriage is only as hard to the extent that you’re willing to die to yourself and lay down your life. If you’re selfish, marriage will be very hard. If you allow Jesus to transform you and His love to change you it’s not hard at all. The best advice ever received? The enemy will do whatever he can to make you have sex outside of marriage and everything he can to make sure you don’t have sex in your marriage.

IT WAS THE HAND OF GOD You know so many times as Christians, wait let me say as human beings we face encounters that can only be solved by Jesus. These types of situations once solved, make you sit and be in awe of how a human could have never survived that. In everyday life we get to see the hand of God by merely being alive , we get to experience what an awesome God we serve . In this issue we feature a story that will change your life in every way. If you have no idea what God can do , this is one true example . This story is by SOMIKAZI PRINCESS MDLULI .You can also share yours with us at: beautyandthegospel@gmail.com.

A LOVE LETTER FROM KING JESUS TO HIS BRIDE SISTER CLAIRE
Sin offends Jesus our Lord very much. Sin in clothing more especially lack of it, violence, crime, hatred, gossip, backbiting, jealousy and adulteries.
I too am in the bedroom watching unspeakable filth. I too am at that murder scene with all its suffering. I too am present at the intrigue that will steal and ruin the lives of hundreds caused by greedy men. These things HURT ME. Please my
Soap Operas are the epitome of sin and extremely noxious to Me. Like your nose in fresh dog excrement noxious. These things not only offend Me but also the Heavenly court, the angels and the saints. Yet in your world they are a matter of fact part of everyday life. If my bride wants find Me, she must lay aside these things and purify her heart and mind from all forms of entertainment that portray sin. This means music, clothing, behaviour, speech, murder mysteries, wars, things that portray sin in any form. I don’t have a problem with biographies that show the progress of a soul coming to Me, that don’t make entertainment out of their sin, but simply portray where they were. It is the scintillating entertainments that spoil the perception of the delicate and clean things, dulling the senses and offending me greatly. Understand that I too must endure what you are watching and thinking about.
brides, do not watch these things in movies or TV, they are so hurtful to Me. Do not listen to music or look at magazines, billboards, pictures that depict suffering and sin. I created that soul, to see his very body on fire disturbs Me deeply. Remember, I was there when that soul set fire to his body. I too felt the suffering; I had to work with his soul, determining his destination. No no, please do not trouble Me with what you look at, listen to or think about. No no, do not put Me through that. How am I supposed to embrace a Bride when her mind is full of filth such as this? These things have half lives, they linger and linger and linger, over and over and over again and I must see these things as they are recalled to your memory. Do you understand why so many cannot find me in their prayers? Yes, seek Me until you find Me, but first clean your house. Come to Me clean, create a throne room in your heart that is undefiled with the filth of this world. And I must say it is not only filth, but worldliness that is offensive to Me.
ROOTED & OUT OF DISPLAY written by; Bongi Mbatha Life is gift, and to be alive is a choice. For the bible tells us to choose life. All our present days are based on or are results of the choices we made yesterday. One might say well “I didn’t choose what happened to me or I didn’t choose to lose what I had”. Yes! That’s a true statement however when I say all that we are its based-on choices that you made yesterday, I meant how people treat you and the circumstances of life is beyond your control! But your reaction to every action is a choice, for example: what happened to you in the past and cost your soul to be broken, it’s beyond your control but how you pick yourself up and move forward is your choice! To be stuck in the past when you are in the future is a choice! To be focused on what you cannot change is a choice, in the book of Galatians 2 verse 20 says, “it’s no longer I that live but Christ live in me”. The joy of life is found in Christ! When you lift your eyes to the endless Helper and everlasting Father, looking forward will be your only option. To be able to enjoy the choice of the past in the future requires one to be rooted. What is to be rooted? and to be rooted in what? To be rooted means to be deep- into, firmly established and to be underground. In a media term they say to be “behind the scenes”. The only way for a believer to grow in Christ is to grow in the word of God
The word of God strengthens the inner man or the spirit. Jesus explained that the tree on stony ground withered in the heat of the sun because it lacked root (Matthew 13: 58). The word of God provides all the nutrients and moisture for strengthening of the inner man. I believe when you are rooted or behind the scene you have full control on what can be displayed and what should be published. No director of any movie will be shocked about a movie he directed when its screened, because he/ she was part of the production of that movie. As children of GOD we must be deep into the things of the kingdom of God and prayerful ,for the bible says in book of Philippians 4 v6 “worry about nothing and pray about everything” this means leave everything to Him because prayer is a the tool of all production. A rooted child of GOD does not make public announcements without making private declaration in your prayer room. Nothing can be made or manufactured into your spirit life without prayer. Find yourself rooted in Him so that your prayer will bears fruits. John 15 v5-7“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
WHAT ARE THE FUNCTIONS OF BEING ROOTED I have established that to be rooted means to be deep in and firmly established means that you must be deep and firm in your character, mind and attitude. The are four benefits and the major function of being a root or be rooted in the kingdom of God. As the plant benefits from its roots, so do we benefit from being rooted in Christ! • Absorption of water In the physical realm roots function to absorb water and in organic nutrients for that plant. However also as children of God we must drink daily from His word, in the book of Isaiah 55 : 1 -2 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost” this water is found in Jesus Christ . He’s the living water, if you’re rooted in Him, you drink from His cup and everything concerning you will overflow. John 7:38 “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. • Anchoring of the plant body to the ground, and support All the strength of the plant is found in the root of that particular plant. Same applies for us to remain standing against all odds; our strength must be always renewed and refilled. What an awesome advantage! The more we are rooted the more our strength is renewed. Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Say "I do" al fresco! Read to find out if this setting is for you.
• Storage of food and nutrients It’s self-explanatory, that food of every plant is found in the roots. Well, we all have to eat at some point. The big question is, where is your spiritual man or inner soul finding its food? Psalm 111:5 “He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever” and in the book of Psalm 136:25 says “He gives food to every creature. His love endures forever.” • Vegetative reproduction Vegetative reproduction is any form of a reproduction occurring in plants in which a new plant grows from a fragment of the parent plant or grows from a specialized reproductive structure. A guarantee that is given to us is that if we remain rooted in Him surely, we will multiply. It’s a sign of abundance. In the bible Jesus Christ says in John 15:4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. In the mist of all what life pulls us through, we must always remain rooted in Him, should we be lost and confused, we have been given the sweet Holy Spirit as our counselor Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” And the book of 1 Thessalonians 1:6 “You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit”. Being rooted in Him means that you will always have an one on one connection with God and close relationship with JESUS CHRIST.
