VISION ROMANS 15:20-21 20 Accordingly I set a goal to preach the gospel, not where Christ’s name was already known, so that I would not build on another man’s foundation; 21 but [instead I would act on this goal] as it is written [in Scripture], “They who had no news of Him shall see, And they who have not heard [of Him] shall understand.”

MISSION 1 CORINTHIANS 1:17 17 For Christ did not send me [as an apostle] to baptize, but [commissioned and empowered me] to preach the good news [of salvation]—not with clever and eloquent speech [as an orator], so that the cross of Christ would not be [b]made ineffective [deprived of its saving power].

editor's note Your majesty JESUS CAN DO EVERYTHING BUT FAIL Numbers 11:23 (MSG) God answered Moses, “So, do you think I can’t take care of you? You’ll see soon enough whether what I say happens for you or not.” Beloved, Jesus Christ is the God of the impossible. Failing is something He can never do. You know on the 30th of May I saw a spaceship taking off from this planet. It reminded me of my childhood, the last time I saw it happen, very fascinating. Before, I must say, due to ignorance I didn’t really understand what was the point really of being an astronaut and spending millions to leave planet earth and go to space etc, maybe I might still not understand. But this time when it took off and I saw it in the sky, you know, the Holy Spirit showed me another angle. I could literally see the magnitude, sovereignty, power, wisdom and greatness of God. I mean, no man can think of such, implement it and come back alive. It got me thinking, if my Jesus can do that, amongst other things. Then, what we’re in need of or want is nothing compared to that spaceship. He can do everything and anything BUT FAIL. May His sovereignty be glorified, Amen!

B&TG NEWS CHRISTIANS IN THE KNOW!

OVERVIEW: Man Sets Out To Share Jesus With 1 Million Muslims Source: www.charismanews.com

A friend invited Shariat to a church in Los Angeles where he heard the gospel preached and he committed his life to Jesus. Shortly thereafter God called him to share the gospel message with other Muslims. He began by planting a church in San Jose, California, where he saw hundreds of Muslims convert to Christianity. However, his heart burned to see more Muslims hear the Good News of Jesus, so in 2001 Iran Alive Ministries was founded, utilizing satellite television to broadcast the message of Jesus. Shariat’s goal was to reach 1 million Muslims with the gospel. He states, “By God’s grace, through media, I have passed this number multiple times.” He points out many who follow Islam are attracted to Christianity because it is a faith based on love.

The book and app were launched and dedicated in a quiet ceremony in April. Almost all of the 300,000 Flame* people are Muslims. They are more than 300,000 people and 99% are Muslims, but since April they have their own Christian Scriptures. The Wycliffe Bible Translators have been able to hand the first copies of the New Testament and Genesis to members of this group. The book and app was launched with little fanfare. The team responsible for translating the Flame Scriptures felt it was urgently important to make the book and app available now, during the month of Ramadan when Muslims spend extra time in prayer and reflection, rather than wait till a more public event was possible.

Zacharias’s calling to preach was first confirmed when he was awarded the Asian Youth Preacher Award at the international Youth Congress in Hyderabad at the age of nineteen. Years later, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association invited Zacharias to be a plenary speaker at the inaugural International Conference for Itinerant

Pakistani Christians Facing Extra Difficulties During Covid-19 Because Of Their Faith source: www.charismanews.com

People in every corner of the globe have been faced with incredible burden and uncertainty this spring due to the coronavirus pandemic. But some in Pakistan have encountered even greater difficulties because of their faith in Jesus.

province, were excluded from a distribution of food aid. The aid, collected by a village management committee, was designed to be distributed among all deserving families in the village. However, not a single Christian family was allowed to receive the help.

International Christian Concern has been documenting instances of Pakistani Christians being turned away from aid distribution because of their religious identity. One such example occurred in early April, when more than 100 Christian families from Sandha Kalan village, located in Punjab -

As of the end of April, Pakistan had approximately 14,000 coronavirus cases and nearly 300 deaths. For more information about The Tide broadcast projects, visit its website at thetide.org or its Facebook page. Read more about The Tide ministry and Director Don Shenk here.

Global terrorism beyond persecution Source: www.evangelicalfocus.com

It is important for Christians to face the fact that terrorism cannot be explained through the singular lens of persecution of Christians. An article by Wanjiru M. Gitau. Terrorism is a monstrous global problem in our time, not just for its capacity to cause untold suffering but for its ubiquity and its unpredictable metamorphosis around global-

challenges such as pervasive poverty, displacement and migration, and dysfunctional government arrangements. However, it is important for Christians to face the fact that the phenomenon cannot be explained through the singular lens of persecution of Christians. They therefore need to be both more nuanced and better prepared, particularly as church communities.

Locust Devastating Much of India Source: www.worthynews.com

Authorities in India say the nation is facing its worst swarm of locust on record, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The group warned the locust infestation is the worst this nation of over 1.3 billion people has ever seen.

India's Locust Warning Organization said at least ten swarms of up to 80 million locusts had made their way through India, destroying crops.

It comes as millions of hungry Indian people are already jobless following a devastating government-imposed lockdown linked to the coronavirus outbreak.

Dr. Michael Youssef, founder and Source: www.worthynews.com president of Leading The Way Ministries, has launched a new Farsi-language version of his Leading The Way television program to reach audiences in Iran. The daily, 30-minute program appears on the Nejat television platform. The Islamic Republic of Iran is home to more than 84 million people and is a predominately Shia Muslim country that remains hostile to Christianity. The 800,000 Christians in the nation face persecution by their government. Church services and evangelism are illegal activities punishable by imprisonment and even death. Despite all this, Dr. Youssef says there is greater spiritual hunger in Iran than ever. "That's why this Farsi-language broadcast is an essential part of our outreach to Muslims there and abroad," Youssef remarks. "By partnering with Nejat TV, we will be able to tell millions of Muslim men, women and children about a God who loves them and wants to have a relationship with them."

Devotions by the anointed Dr AndrĂŠ and Jenny Roebert

Intimate Father Message taken from John 6:15 (NKJV) John 6:15 (NKJV):Â "Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone." This particular scripture describes the end of one of Jesus' rather eventful days. After preaching to a crowd of about 5000, he multiplied two fish and five loaves to feed them all. Then saw them begin to rally a small army to forcefully make Him their king. His response to all this was to immediately withdraw from it all and be alone with His Father. Andrew Murray said: "Man needs to be alone with God, to sense again the presence and power of His holiness, of His life, and of His love." That's exactly what Jesus was doing - being alone in the safety of His Father's presence, being filled with His love and life that kept Him securely rooted in His purpose, far from fear and dread. In your secret place is where you will find the essence of real power in the tangible Presence of God. His love will keep you supernaturally charged and empowered to keep walking out His purpose - making a significant difference wherever you are and in whatever you do. Today, choose to walk close to God; realign your priorities with His heart, so you can be a blessing to this generation!

WHAT THE 'NEW NORMAL' SHOULD LOOK LIKE FOR THE CHURCH

The "new normal" for our churches should be simply REVIVAL!

by: Mikel French

Revival is the "new normal" we need.

I hear many people say we can't go back to the way things were.

The overwhelming revelation of the 2020 pandemic is the world's undeniable vulnerability to the unknown. Anxiety-riddled questions fill the media and minds of citizens; to open or not open? Physical health or financial increase? To wait or to move?

In a few weeks, perhaps months, we will return to the same old, same old. That is not a prophecy or a medical opinion; that is a keen sense for the obvious.

Will there be a change, even a heart transformation in the way we respond to life, God and others? Or will we become more entrenched in a world that creates walls and barriers between the lost and the Good News?

To me, the question is, will this crisis in any way change the way we think?

There are enough bad views and fake news. I want to challenge you to give the Good News!

FEATURED

When you do, people will not accept a "new normal" but repent and be transformed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Right now, even in hopelessness or fear, I know you have a deep desire for adventure. God designed us for purpose, provision and favor. When you proclaim the Good News, you will come under attack. Look at the attacks against Franklin Graham or Jim Bakker. Don't let the bad views drown out the messages of hope and faith. Cheer up! Every attack from the enemy shall pass, and if you hold firm to your faith, you will go on an extraordinary adventure into the heart of God. Dare to stand and proclaim that: —Jesus is the answer to the direction of life. —Jesus wants to bless you because you are His creation. —the God of the universe wants you to surrender your life to the one who died on the cross to set you free from sin, —and that He wants to have a personal, loving relationship with you. Buckle up in prayer! Strap on the Word! Lift up your voice! Build up, people! If you don't want to live in a "new normal," but in times of His extravagant love, generosity and power, don't go with the flow. Join me in fervent prayer and proclaim the powerful Word of God, to see an outpouring of supernatural grace and harvest greater than any other since the day of Pentecost.

Paul states in Romans 1:16-17, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel [of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. As it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'" In the end, God has not abdicated the throne. He is alive! The Alpha and Omega is finishing what He started. He is preparing His bride for the wedding of the ages. You're beautiful. I see Jesus in you. Have a great week!

Mikel French has challenged spiritual awakening all across America, where many celebrations extended into multiple weeks, and has conducted celebrations in France, Sweden, Russia, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, Germany, South Africa, Malawi, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Haiti, Japan, Singapore, India and Thailand. He conducted an outreach celebration in Manila, Philippines, reaching 200,000 teenagers with the book of hope. Through the generous support of partners, he has presented the message of Jesus Christ to millions of people in the nation of Russia through televised citywide soulwinning celebrations.

ROTUBIRTNOC

THE PURE IN HEART written by:

ANGUS & JILL BUCHAN

Jill and I found Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour on the 18th of February 1979, just two years after settling in Greytown, Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands, South Africa. Originally from Zambia, we bought a piece of land on which we planned to farm crops and livestock. We had very little to start with but even as brand new Christians, we were content with our farm, which we later called SHALOM. My dearest friend, if there is one thing that separates Jesus says, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. Matthew 5:8, NKJV. If you and I, at this time of forced seclusion due to the dreaded coronavirus, will pursue purity and uprightness in every area of our lives, then we will have a very close and intimate walk and relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is what is taking place on the inside of our lives today which concerns Jesus, not so much what takes place on the outside. We have lots of extra time on our hands, let's use that time profitability - spending more time than ever before reading our Bible regularly and faithfully. Simply because Jesus is the Word in print, John 1:1. The more time we give to being in the presence of God, the purer our hearts will become. Precious time spent each morning with God will automatically increase our faith and cancel out doubt and unbelief, which originates from the very pit of hell itself.

us from walking closely with God, it’s doubting Him. When we doubt Him and His miracle-working power, in every situation of our lives, we literally tie His hands. “You can't heal me Lord", or "You can’t restore this relationship", or "You can’t deliver me from this addiction, it’s just too big.” But the pure in heart, those men and women who get up very early in the morning, before the sun even rises and who seek God’s Holy face, they are more than able to overcome anything that the devil will try to throw at them and that includes the coronavirus. Today let’s serve, with a pure heart, the God who said to the dead man “Lazarus, come forth!” John 11:43, And he came straight out of the tomb, grave clothes and all. It’s our 'focus' that will determine our holiness and our walk with Jesus. What are we seeing today, the sickness, or the Lord? Amen, so be it, with us today Lord Jesus, and like the Disciples of old we will say, “Increase our faith”. Luke 17:5.

With much love and prayer, Angus and Jill Buchan.

BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL “Blessed are the merciful: they shall have mercy shown them.” —Matthew 5:7 I believe with all my heart that mercy and forgiveness are the whole Gospel. The Benedictus (Luke 1:68-79) says we’ll have knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sin (1:77). The experience of forgiveness or mercy is the experience of a magnanimous God who loves out of total gratuitousness.

There’s no tit-for-tat. Grace isn’t for sale. That is the symbolism of Jesus kicking over the tables in the temple. One cannot buy God by worthiness, by achievement, by obeying commandments. Salvation is God’s lovingkindness, a loving-kindness that is “forever”. Read Psalm 136 for an ecstatic description of God’s faithful mercy. The mystery of forgiveness is God’s ultimate entry into powerlessness

Withholding forgiveness is a form of power over another person, a way to manipulate, shame, control, and diminish another. God in Jesus refuses all such power. If Jesus is the revelation of what’s going on inside the eternal God (see Colossians 1:15), -

"there is no greater guideline than the SERMON ON THE MOUNT, a blueprint for Christian lifestyle ''

FROM THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT LESSONS

In Jesus’ teaching and in his life, we see modelled nonviolent, peaceful action. He encourages us to likewise “turn the other cheek” and not return vengeance with vengeance. There is no way to peace other than through peace-making itself. But many think we can achieve peace through violence. We say, “We will stop killing by killing.” Sadly, that is the way we think, and it is in opposition to all great religious teachers. Our need for immediate control leads us to disconnect the clear unity between means and ends. War is a means of seeking control, not a means of seeking peace. Violence, you see, will always create more violence. It is not real peace. As Pope Paul VI reflected, “If you want peace, work for justice.”

When the heart is right, Jesus says, seeing will be right. He ties together heart and sight. Consider the saying, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” So is God. All we need to do is keep the lens clean, the heart pure.

In the language of sacred tradition, the emotional centre [where the heart lies] carries the “reconciling” force. It serves as a bridge between the mind and the body and also between our usual physical world and this invisible other realm. When properly attuned, the emotional centre’s most striking capacity, lacking in the mind alone, is the ability to comprehend the language of paradox. Logical inconsistencies that the mind must reduce into a simple “either-or” can be held by the heart in “both-and”—and even more important, felt that way—without needing to resolve, close down, or protect oneself from the pain that ambiguity always brings.

Cynthia Bourgeault describes the connection between the “heart” and the ability to see God as taught in the Wisdom tradition:

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS “Blessed are the peacemakers: they shall be recognised as children of God.” —Matthew 5:9

We do not attain anything by our own holiness but by ten thousand surrenders to mercy. A lifetime of received forgiveness allows us to become mercy: that’s the Beatitude. We become what we receive, what we allow into our hearts. Mercy becomes our energy and purpose. Perhaps we are finally enlightened and free when we can both receive it and give it away—without payment or punishment. BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART “Blessed are the pure in heart: they shall see God.” — Matthew 5:8

John Dear, an internationally known voice for peace and nonviolence, says that as Christians, “We cannot support war, participate in war, pay for war, promote war, or wage war.” It is our responsibility to work to “end war and create peace , to be a peacemaker. How can we be peacemakers? It begins by being peace ourselves, by connecting with the source of peace within. It means standing up in nonviolent resistance to systems of injustice. It involves learning the skills of nonviolent communication and conflict resolution.

The heart in the ancient sacred traditions has a very specific and perhaps surprising meaning. It is not the seat of our personal affective life—or even, ultimately, of our personal identity—but an organ for the perception of divine purpose and beauty. It is our antenna, so to speak, given to us to orient us toward the divine radiance and to synchronize our being with its more subtle movements. The heart is not for personal expression but for divine perception. . . .

which is the core of the Christian faith, then we are forced to conclude that God is very humble. This God never seems to hold rightful claims against us. Abdicating what we thought was the proper role of God, this God “has thrust all our sins behind his back” (see Isaiah 38:17).

The Pax Romana creates a false peace by sacrificing others. But the peace Jesus speaks of—Pax Christi, the peace of Christ—waits and works for true peace by sacrificing the false self of power, prestige, and possessions. Such peacemaking will never be popular. The follower of Jesus is doomed to minority status. Jesus next warns us that we will be hated from all sides (see also John 15:18-16:2 and Matthew 10:22). When you’re working outside the system, when you work for peace, you will not be admired inside the system. In fact, you will look dangerous, subversive, and unpatriotic. One thing you cannot call Jesus was a patriot. He was serving a far bigger realm. If you are truly a peacemaker, your very means have to be nonviolent and you have to be consistently pro-life—from womb to tomb. One of the most distressing qualities of many Christians today is that they retain the right to decide when, where, and with whom they will be pro-life peacemakers.

If the other can be determined to be wrong, guilty, unworthy, or sinful, the death penalty is somehow supposed to serve justice. That entirely misses the ethical point Jesus makes: We are never the sole arbiters of life or death, because life is created by God and carries the divine image. It is a spiritual seeing, far beyond any ideology of left or right. BLESSED ARE THE PERSECUTED “Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice: the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” —Matthew 5:10 I guess we should not be surprised that this Beatitude follows the previous ones. The first and last Beatitudes are present tense: Theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Until this statement, Jesus has said “happy are the . . .,” speaking generally. Now he says happy are “those of you. . . .” Very likely Matthew is conveying that this scene is happening directly in front of Jesus. His small community is being persecuted, and Jesus tells them to “rejoice and be glad”! Persecution for the cause of justice is inevitable. Instead of seeking to blame someone for their well-earned scars, he is telling them two clear things: You can be happy— and you can be happy now! Matthew 5:11-12 could really be called the ninth Beatitude, although it more likely is an explanation of the eighth:

Blessed are you when people abuse you and persecute you and speak all kinds of things against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven; this is how they persecuted the prophets before you. “Bad” people didn’t kill Jesus; conventional wisdom crucified him. Jesus taught an alternative wisdom instead of the maintenance of social order. Prophets and wisdom teachers like Jesus have passed through a major death to their ego. This is the core meaning oftrans-formation. Yet most of Christian history tried to understand Jesus inside the earlier stage of law and order. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is anything but maintaining the status quo! “The gospel of Jesus—the good news of Jesus’ own message—is that there is a way of being that moves beyond both secular and religious conventional wisdom. The path of transformation of which Jesus spoke leads from a life of requirements and measuring up (whether to culture or to God) to a life of relationship with God. It leads from a life of anxiety to a life of peace and trust. It leads from the bondage of selfpreoccupation to the freedom of self-forgetfulness. It leads from life centred in culture to life centred in God.

PART 2

Can I Testify? I immediately called on the name of Jesus (probably a 100 times) and carried on driving, after about 150m finally it ended. I didn’t stop, I drove straight to church even though I couldn’t really see the way. The windscreen and all the left side windows were shattered. I only realized the damage that was caused when I got out the car. There was even a brick that was thrown through the wind screen and went in through the driver’s side which could have caused a lot of physical damage if it had hit me. But it didn’t because I wasn’t alone in the car, King Jesus was with me!

The insurance wrote the car off. When I drove past the same road the next morning 2 vehicles were burnt, and the owners were fighting for their lives in hospital and yet I have not even a single scratch nor scar. My brothers and sisters let’s not stop praying for one another! Let’s keep believing and trusting God. REMEMBER

THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS. HALLELUJAH!

FROM THE APOSTLE'S DESK THE POWER OF ALTARS Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I am humbled to be part of this great publication. In helping to move people’s lives to God, thus meeting the great author of their faith and destiny. Jesus is alive and still speaks, still performs miracles signs and wonders. He still heals the sick, casts demons out, teaches and reveals deep unsearchable things. He still changes people’s lives for the better, through the Dunamis, electric Power of the Holy Spirit. I have seen and experienced this first hand in my personal life and the lives of people at church. Our Redeemer liveth. He has never left us, forsaken us nor forgotten about us and he has promised to never shame us. We only need to believe in Him, only Him and put our faith and trust in Him alone. Then we shall see all good days. What is an Altar? The Hebrew word for altar in the Bible is mizbeach. It is from a root verb zabach, meaning to offer, slaughter an animal for sacrifice, eating or divine judgement. Biblical dictionary meaning of an altar is: A raised area in a house of worship where people can honor God with offerings. It is prominent in the Bible as “God’s table”, a sacred place for sacrifices and gifts offered up to God.

Apostle Fumane Esther Seobi Mahlatsi I was born in the Priesthood Family. I Am the 4th Generation of active 5 fold Ministers. A teacher by profession with Honours In Psychology Degree and a business woman. A wife for 30 years, an author of Manna Daily Devotions book, a mother of four, and a founder and an overseer of Seobi Ministries International in Vereeniging...

Purpose of an altar: As it is a structure upon which offerings such as sacrifices are made for religious purposes. They are found in temples, shrines, churches and many other places of worship for various religious groups. They are used particularly in Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, and Modern Paganism.

Witches and wizards, agents of Lucifer also uses what is called a Wiccan altar as a raised structure or place used to worship and pray. Where a practitioner can place several symbolic and functional items for the purpose of worshipping the god and goddess, casting spells, and or speaking incantations, saying chants as their form of prayer. Altars in the Bible In the Old testament the first altar recorded was that of Noah in Genesis 8:20. Then altars erected in the temple, that is the Altar of burnt offering and the Altar of Incense (prayers). Basically alters are places of offering. Where prayers, thanksgiving, petitions, asking for forgiveness and atonement of sins, and communicating with Yahweh were and are made. We see in Exodus 8:20-21, that God takes highly into consideration services offered at these alters.

It was in the burnt offerings offered by Noah, were God smelled the aroma and found it pleasing to Him. This resulted in God making an oath to never curse the ground because of Humans and never to destroy all living creatures as He has done before. Nor subdue the Earth with water again and place a rainbow as a symbol reminding Himself of this oath. These are the results of burnt offering offered by Noah after the floods. I personally believe Noah was offering this as a form of thanksgiving unto God for saving him and his family and seeing them through the flooding period. In the Old Testament; Exodus 27, we read about the Altar of burnt offering made of bronze, found in the courtyard of the temple. Then we read about the Altar of burning Incense is in Exodus 30.

The altar of incense was placed inside the sanctuary in front of the curtain of the Holy of Holies. It stood upright, made of pure gold covered wood. Twice a day, incense was burned only by the Priest on this altar. The book of Levitical expatiates deeply on forms of worship and the procedures of worship, who is entitled to do what. The Levitical priests play a major role in the blood sacrifices and atonement of sins, in various offerings, purification and cleansing processes, laws and various rules and in bringing people closer to God. The Levitical priests code devoted a great deal in proper sacrificial procedure, as sacrifices were offered for various circumstances. Blood is life and therefore gives life. Blood sacrifices brought life back, re-birth, repentance, atonement, and forgiveness of sins. Blood sealed the deal with God and moved Him to take action. The altar of burnt offerings or holocausts stood in the courtyard of the temple and was made up bronze. Were animal sacrifices were made for forgiveness of sins and basin of water was also found. This is where various sacrifices were done, for various sins or circumstances. The blood redeems, sanctifies and water washes us clean. Shadowing the action on the cross when Jesus was pierced on His side, blood and water splashed out, giving birth to new form of worship. The altars are places where we Christians meet with our divine being, God and where witches and wizards and all satanic agents also meet with Lucifer. Offerings made on altars by us Christians move God and He consequently responds and makes him to react and take action. We look at the Elijah and the prophets of Baal, and how swiftly God responded to punish all false prophets of Queen Jezebel. A place where the visible World meet the invisible World to change circumstances and influence situations on earth and in our lives. Jesus’s death on the cross became the ultimate atonement of sins and the ultimate sacrifice.

The blood of Jesus Christ and water on the cross of calvary, rendered null and void all other blood covenants or sacrifices. The New Testament covenant says we do not need to shed any more blood as any form of sacrifice for worship. The blood of Jesus did all for us, once and for all. We can now enter into the worship and prayer, through Personal, Family and Corporate altars. PERSONAL ALTAR Can be explained as a sacred space in your home that serves as a “spiritual center”, where you can focus on being your highest self-communing with God, through our savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth. A place where you can put a table for your Bible, your inspirational materials or books, your prayer points papers or any other material that can boost your worship with Yahweh and a small carpet or cushion for you to kneel on as you pray. Personal alters can create a positive energy throughout the house. Can also teach your children to develop a personal relationship and total dependency on Almighty God. Abraham built an alter after an encounter with God when he went to offer Isaac. We read more of personal alters on Gen 12: 7, 13:4, 22:9, Gen 26: 25. Jacob on Gen 33:20 and 35:1-3 and by Moses on Ex 17:15. FAMILY ALTARS You coming together through the synchronizing of hearts in form of worship, reading the Bible and praying together as a family in the presence of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, forms what we call family alter.

Joshua in Joshua 24: 15 proclaimed this to the children of Israel, they should choose whom they want to worship, but as for him and his family they shall serve the LORD. Being very specific about his worship with his family in the family altar

This form of altar is also very important as it chases evil spirits away from your home. It sustains unity. We can hear from God as a family. It promotes love and trains children in the things of God to become spiritual giants as they grow. Proverbs 22: 6 seals the family altar. CORPORATE ALTAR Is a form of worship where all Christian gather together on a specific day or days to worship, praise give and listen to the Word being preached, pray for themselves and intercede for others. Gathering anywhere as a group and fellowshipping and synchronizing as one. Churches form a very center of this form of worship. All services in the church, thanksgiving, offering, and Holy Communion are performed in the altar and the presence of God through Jesus Christ our mediator and the Holy Spirit as our umbilical cord, Advocate, through His gifts, fruits and the manifestation in the church. Hope this information will serve a good cause. I tried to shorten it but compressing as much info as possible.

Ways We Can All Respond to the Death of George Floyd By: Nick Hall

George Floyd was my neighbor. No, he didn't live next door to me, but Minneapolis is my home and it was his home too — until he died this week at the hands of police officers who seemed more intent on displaying their power than on following their code to protect and serve. Don't hear me wrong. I pray for and want to support any man or woman who puts on a uniform and places themselves in harm's way. But with great power, comes great responsibility. Mr. Floyd is now dead because of an egregious act of injustice.

Now our city is hurting after this miscarriage of justice, and many are taking their anger to the streets in ways that are destructive and causing further harm. Yet for those of us who are witnessing what is taking place in the streets of Minneapolis and feel an urge to immediately condemn the people who are expressing their anger and hurt, we should remember what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said on March 14, 1968: "A riot is the language of the unheard." Our hearts should break for those who are afraid, for those who have been discriminated against and marginalized for far too long.

If anything, this is a moment for all of us to empathize with the hurt of our fellow Americans of color. As a white man, I will never understand what it is like to be followed in a store, abused, harassed, or afraid of my loved ones being mistreated because of the color of their skin. But that doesn't mean I can't speak up, pray, lend a hand, and do whatever I can to work toward justice, unity, equity, and peace. For all my friends who live outside of Minneapolis, unsure of how to respond, here are three action steps I would encourage: 1. Pray and Repent The first prayer I encourage you to say is the hardest and requires raw honesty from your part: Pray for God to reveal racism in you and repent. Plainly and simply put, racism is sin. Every human being is created in God's image, and if we don't see our neighbors in that light, we need to check our hearts and repent. Pray for the men, women, and children who are afraid for their lives because of the color of their skin. Mourn with those who mourn.

And pray for our mayor, governor, police officers, first responders, and elected officials. Pray for the safety of those protesting. Pray that the church of the Twin Cities will rise up and lead in this time. I long to see our staff, stages, and budgets built-in ways that demonstrate our belief that all people have value. 2. Learn About the Pain of Others We shouldn't still have to talk about racism, discrimination, and the profiling of our brothers and sisters of color in 2020. But the facts do not lie and it's our responsibility to bring change. We need to educate ourselves, to humble ourselves to learn from and about another person's experience. I encourage you to pick up a book, listen to a podcast, or talk with someone who knows about the history of racism, privilege, and discrimination in America. Seek relationships with those who are different from you and learn how to love your neighbor. ⠀ 3. Support Causes That Promote Reconciliation and Unity

A great Minneapolis effort to help the urban church is called the One Fund. I also support a mentorship and training organization for black young men in Minneapolis called The Man Up Club, which is led by my friend Korey "XROSS" Dean. Nationally, I love the work of the AND Campaign, and my friend Justin E. Giboney. There are countless groups you can learn from and support. ⠀ ⠀ To all of my friends who are afraid and angry, I am sorry. I am praying for justice. More than that, I am praying for the family of George Floyd. May th Twin Cities and our nation be brought together during this time, rather than torn further apart. May we repent of our sin and learn to love one another. -----------------------------------Nick Hall is the visionary of the Together movement, the Year of the Bible campaign, and Pulse, a ministry at the center of the largest millennial-led prayer and outreach efforts in the world. BEFORE & AFTER I DO Written By: Pastor Pascal & Annah Lwambwa

WHY DO YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED? This is a very crucial question that people should ask themselves when they are thinking of tying the knot. What are your reasons for wanting to get married? What is the motive behind your decision of taking that step? Is it...

1.Loneliness A lonely and desperate person will remain lonely even in the marriage. Loneliness leads to desperation, which will lead you to getting married to the wrong person. Marriage is not a cure for loneliness and singleness is not a disease. Being alone or being single does not mean you are lonely. Singleness is a time of self discovery, working on yourself, connecting yourself to the Creator of marriage, -

which is God. When you are connected to God you will not feel lonely. 2. To have someone to complete you Depending on a partner to complete you is not only unrealistic but its unfair towards them. You need to understand that you are getting married to a human being who will make mistakes, someone who might let you down or fail you because they are not perfect. Its not about finding a partner that will make you whole because no human being can do that. If you expect your partner to make you whole, that means you are incomplete. In marriage you need to come complete, two whole individuals make a successful marriage.

ROTUBIRTNOC

When you stop putting pressure on your partner to be the missing piece in your life you are allowing them to be free to be themselves and love you to the best of their ability without fear of failing you.

3. You think you are running out of time. It is better to wait and get married to the right person than getting married early to the wrong person. Do not put pressure on yourself to get married, just because your friends are getting married doesn’t mean you should rush to the altar. Marriage is not a race, its not about who is going to get there first. Don't rush to get into a marriage only to want to get out of it.If your friends or family members are getting married, be happy for them, its their time and your time will also come. It only means that God is still preparing the one and you need to be patient. Do not allow friends and family or anyone else to put pressure on you to get married, its a personal decision.

4. To be free from parents/Independence If you want to get married because you want to be free and unaccountable to your parents, we’ve got news for you, in marriage you will not have the freedom to do as you please. Mutual accountability in marriage is essential for a healthy and happy marriage.

5. Because of Pregnancy If your pregnancy was a mistake, getting married because you got pregnant is another mistake. Although some people would want to get married to someone, they made pregnant as a sign of taking responsibility, love should be the basis of every marriage. You can still take responsibility of the child without getting married to her if there is no love and compatibility. It is better to raise a child as a single parent, happily, than getting married and raising a child in a broken and unhappy marriage. 6. Money Money is the one reason that makes people stay trapped in loveless marriages, money can buy many things but definitely not love. Its true that the rich get richer but the rich can also go broke...when the money fades there will be nothing else that is holding your marriage together, because what you got married for is no longer there. 7. Sex It all comes down to self control, if you are unable to control yourself when you are single, you will not be able to control yourself in marriage. That is why we see people who are married but still end up cheating. Sexual temptation does not automatically stop when you get married, but you need to able to exercise self control which is one of the fruits of the Holy spirit which needs to be mastered.

Depending on a partner to complete you is not only unrealistic but its unfair towards them.

SPOTTING THE LIES BY: STEPHEN ALTROGGE

Hebrews 3:13 says, “But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called ‘today,’ that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” Sin is an expert in propaganda. It skillfully crafts lies and half-truths. Our hearts are trying to deceive us into believing lies. Discontentment starts when we believe sinful lies —lies about God, lies about ourselves, lies about the world, and lies about others. If we’re going to defeat the sin of discontentment, we need to be able to spot its lies. We need to be able to recognize propaganda. For starters, the following are some of the most common lies: 1. God is withholding from me. If we don’t have something we desire, it’s not because God is withholding good from us. God didn’t spare his Son one stroke of misery. He won’t withhold any good thing from us. 2. God owes me. The discontented man complains because he isn’t getting what God “owes” him. The contented man is astonished that God would bless him for doing his duty. 3. If I get it, I'll be happy. We won’t be fully satisfied when we get what we want. Because God loves us and wants us to find our satisfaction in him, he won’t allow us to be satisfied. To believe that we’ll finally be happy when we get what we want is a lie. 4. I know what's best for me. God is the one who restores our soul. Sometimes he restores us by giving us what we desire, and sometimes he restores us by withholding it. In either case we can be assured that God knows the best path for us and that he’ll lead us on that path.

Shut the Door Message taken from 2 Kings 4:4 (NKJV) 2 Kings 4:4 (NKJV):Â "And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones." There are a number of examples in both the Old and New Testaments, of people having to shut the door, for the supernatural power of God to flow. Shutting the door symbolizes putting a stop to the flow of internal doubt and external negative influences. Shutting the door symbolizes closing our eyes to the natural, and allowing God to reveal the supernatural to us. Do you remember the account of Jesus raising Jairus' daughter from the dead? Jesus entered into her room and allowed only her father, mother and three of his disciples to go in with Him, before shutting the door on the wailing mourners. He deliberately closed the door to what would encourage doubt and negativity, and instead He cultivated an atmosphere of sincere love and faith. Fill your home with worship, keep God's Word of truth in your ears - cultivate an atmosphere of faith. Pray in the Holy Ghost to shut out fear and doubt, and expect to see the supernatural power of God at work.

“PARENTS’ WORDS ARE TREMENDOUSLY IMPORTANT TO THE SELF-ESTEEM OF A CHILD. WORDS SHAPE WHAT A CHILD BELIEVES HE OR SHE CAN BE AND DO.” Parent Resource Bible THE POWER OF BLESSING YOUR CHILD Parents’ words are tremendously important to the self-esteem of a child. Words shape what a child believes he or she can be and do. As apparent, give blessings freely. Blessings are powerful forces that enables a flow of grace. Everybody loves to hear blessings. When someone speaks a blessing over you, it is a wonderfully satisfying feeling. It evokes a feeling being loved and wanted. “Come here, mommy wants to pray for you”. I find myself saying this more often. Despite the wriggly movements, and a desperate cry to go back to the favorite cartoon showing on TV, I get in a few words of blessings and a muttered amen from my children, before they quickly dash back to the sitting room. Parents have the power to speak life or death over our children. The love you freely give and the limits you enforce are very important for your child’s development. In the book Boundaries, Cloud and Townsend say that parenting with love and limits; with warmth and consequences, produces confident children who have a sense of control over their lives. I want to do all I can to ensure my children are raised to become Christ- centered, confident and caring.

Many times, I forget to pray. I forget to speak a word over them. I tend to shout and see only things that make me angry or sad. I forget to be excited at the gift of having precious children. The gift of their spontaneous and regular show of love and affection. Precious moments when I receive gifts of carefully designed paper bags, delicately cut and made with love, crayons and plenty staple pins. I know I am not alone in this journey of parenting where I feel inadequate and unsure at times. I forget that the little things (and people) matter. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of life, I forget to do the things that are simple yet profound. There is power; great power in my mouth. My child is looking to me to see how far he or she can go in life. Give the blessings of warmth from your heart to your child.

Give the blessings of a warm touch, hug, rustle of the hair, and hand to the forehead to pray. Give the blessing of your unconditional love. Give the blessing of affection, love and plenty praise. Give the gift of yourself. A present parent. Â Above all pray for and with your child! Children emulate what they see us do. We mirror their future. Let your faith at home become a springing board for a personal living and loving relationship with Christ. Talk to God about your children and talk to your children about God. Parenting is such a big job that can feel daunting. Do not give in. Keep going. Keep speaking over your child. What you do not want to see, please do not say it; especially to your child. Speak life!

God hates sin and his final judgment will put an end to evil. Those who reject eternal life in Christ will face judgment and eternal punishment in hell. Followers of Christ have great hope for the future. Their salvation is sure because Jesus conquered death and hell. Christians are destined for eternity, where all things will be made new. The believer will live forever with God in perfect peace and security. His eternal kingdom will be established and he will rule and reign forever victorious. Key Characters

Jesus Christ The Apostle John Key Verses

Revelation 1:17-19, NLT "When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, 'don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look — I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave. Write down what you have seen — both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen.'" Revelation 7:9-12, NLT.

And they were shouting with a great roar: 'Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!' And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. They sang 'amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.'" Revelation 21:1-4, NLT ."Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying 'look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.'" Outline of the Book of Revelation Salutation and

THE END TIMES “The Church is called to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom – and not to be caught up in star gazing ”

Matthew 24 is one of the hardest chapters in the Gospels to understand. Because Jesus speaks of future events.

“History is going somewhere. It is not meaningless. It is not random. It is not eternal".

YESHUA prophesies quite clearly the Fall of the Temple in Jerusalem in Matthew 24:2, which actually happened in AD 70 – and with it came the end of the Jewish era. But He also prophesies the end of the world too. And we will be wise to learn from history. As Michael Green so ably put it:

There will be a real end just as there was a real beginning. And at the end of it, we will find Jesus Christ. (Michael Green – The Message of Matthew p.253) “History is in a real sense Jesus’ story. He made the world; He came to dwell in it. He will return at the end of history to wind it up” (Michael Green – The Message of Matthew p. 250). We can learn from history - and we live in the present - but why did Jesus bother to tell us about the future? Here are three reasons: 1. Firstly, to warn us so we are not led astray by false prophets. There has always been a propensity for people to be attracted by prophetic utterances about the future.

●NB -In the late 19th Century in

PROPHET GEZANI Overseer @ Ebenezer Fellowship Center, Soweto , South Africa, husband, father and entrepreneur.

America there was an enthusiasm for such prophecies predicting the actual date for Christ’s Second Coming. One such prophet was an Adventist leader William Miller (17821849). And it is in his movement that both the JW’s and the Seventh Day Adventists find their roots. Miller first predicted that Christ would return on 21st March 1842, but then revised the date to April 3, 1843. Miller decided to recalculate his date for the Second Coming and soon publicized a new date - April 18, 1844.When the Messiah did not show up on that date, there was again frustration and some followers left the Adventist ranks.

@beautyandthegospel

ROTUBIRTNOC

Undeterred by these failures, Miller came up with a third date - 22nd October1844. But as we all know, the Second Coming did not occur on 22nd October 1844. Christ is eager to spare his followers the pain of the let down that false prophets bring – and the real sense of loss that accompanies it. 2. The second reason Christ gave this prophecy was to remind his Church that he wants us to keep his mission in the forefront of our hearts and minds. For Jesus summed up the End Times like this: V14. “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come”. The primary goal of the Church is to preach the message of the kingdom of God – and not to be sidetracked by “idle speculations”. We need to keep our eye on the ball.

3. But the third reason, I believe Jesus gave this prophecy was so we could be ready for the events when they come. It is a bit like hazard lights on a motorway. They warn you of a hazard up ahead before you reach it.

Many of Jesus’ hearers were going to live through a cataclysmic event – the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem. It turned out to be a terrible siege that lasted four years. The city was defended with fanaticism. The Romans tried to starve the Jews out and in the end, the inhabitants resorted to cannibalism. A million Jews were killed and almost a hundred thousand were taken into captivity. In conclusion: 1. Jesus gave us prophecy so that we will not be led astray by false prophets. 2. As we see cataclysmic events around us – it is easy to take our eye off the ball. 3.The Church is called to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom – and not to be caught up in star gazing.

YOUNG , MARRIED &

Anointed 1. Who are you individually? Goodnews: I am a son of God, an Apostle, husband, father, entrepreneur, leader, author, philanthropist and creative. Goodness: I am a very simple person. A philanthropist, author, public speaker, businesswoman, and an artistic person. Mostly I am a son of God who is gracefully set apart and anointed by Him as a Prophetess. I am a wife to a loving husband, mother to a handsome son, sister to 2 siblings, daughter to my loving parents, and a leader to a ministry called Christ Alone Worship Centre. 2. How and when did you meet? We met on the 23rd of February 2018. It was at a 3 days revival where we attended in Tsakane, East Rand. 3. How long did you date before you got married? We dated for 3 months, got engaged on the 1st of July then lobola(dowry) followed on the 7th of December. We finally, got married the following year. 4. How did you individually know that He, She was the one?

Goodnews: She was everything I had prayed for. Goodness: I had prayed years back and mentioned to God what kind of a man I would like to have in my life. The funny part is, on Saturday of the second day of the revival when my husband started preaching something inside said to me: "what if this is your husband, as you had received a prophecy about getting married to a man of God". We didn't even talk during the revival then I found myself preaching in his ministry the following day which was Sunday. He was very much busy that he wasn't able to attend the service during my preaching. He invited me a few days later on Facebook to thank me for preaching at his ministry and apologized that he couldn't sit in for the preaching. We became friends and got to know each other. He had all that I prayed for though I thought he was a replica but I told myself if I die I die let me just take this risk, then nature took its cause. 5. When did you get married? We got married on the 27th of April 2019.

Y O U N G ,

M A R R I E D

&

A N O I N T E D

6. Take us through the process of the wedding celebration how was that and if there are any changes you could have made? It was a heart-warming day. We had a beautiful matrimonial, went for an exciting photo shoot, came back to mouth-watering food, and had wonderful speeches from our friends and family. It was not our dream wedding but it was perfect because we were finally starting our forever journey. 7. Has your relationship changed from dating to marriage? Yes, it has because now we have made a covenant and a commitment to spending our forever together. We get to learn new things we didn’t know about each other, go through challenges and situations which are there to whether break us apart or keep us even closer and they need us to be matured in having to deal with them. Having to always remember that it’s no longer about “I” but about “US”. 8. If you could change the perception that people have about marriage, what would it be? Marriage does not come with all we expect to have in it. Marriage is like an empty box where you have to invest what you want to withdraw. If you want love, happiness, respect, and communication whatever it maybe you need to invest it before you want to withdraw it.

Goodnews & Goodness It is a transaction of which you invest, withdraw, and invest again. You cannot leave it empty because it will drain your spouse. 9. For the single person out there, wondering when they are getting married, what advice would you give them?

Take as much time you need to learn about yourself, who you are based on your character and how you are based on your personality. Cherishing every moment you have with yourself, learning to fall in love with yourself, supporting yourself, and giving yourself the best before anyone else can.

11. What advice to those who are in the process of getting married would you give ? They should put God first in everything they do and also learn about these 7 fundamentals of love: Agreement, Commitment, Consistency, Obedience, Patience, Perseverance, Destiny

everything that you are made of, so you won't be dependent on another person to validate your existence. 10. How do you deal with problems that you encounter as a married couple? Having to master communication has brought mutual understanding that helps us to be considerate towards our differences and also have the ability to accommodate each other’s weaknesses, as we believe that the inability to accommodate one’s weakness is a weakness on its own. Also, prayer plays a major role as it inflicts the calmness in our raging and often uncontrollable emotions that might misinterpret the love that we have for each other.

David and Nahash Friendship often extends to those who love our

sometimes the only thing we can do is comfort those who were close.

David shows his love of Nahash by sending someone to express his sympathy to Nahash's family members. 2 Samuel 10:2 - "David said, 'I am going to show loyalty to Hanun just as his father, Nahash, was always loyal to me.' So David sent ambassadors to express sympathy to Hanun about his father’s death." (NLT). David and Ittai Some friends just inspire loyalty until the end, and Ittai felt that loyalty toward David. Meanwhile, David showed great friendship to Ittai by not expecting anything from him. True friendship is unconditional, and both men showed each other great respect with little expectation of reciprocation. 2 Samuel 15:19-21 - "Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, 'Why do you also go with us? Go back and stay with the king, for you are a foreigner and also an exile from your home. You came only yesterday, and shall I today make you wander about with us, since I go I know not where? Go back and take your brothers with you, and may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you.' But Ittai answered the king, 'As the Lord lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king shall be, whether for death or for life, there also will your servant be.'" ones. Sometimes we can show our friendship by expanding our love to others. 1 Kings 5:1- "King Hiram of Tyre had always been friends with Solomon's father David. When Hiram learned that Solomon was king, he sent some of his officials to meet with Solomon." (CEV) 1 Kings 5:7 - "Hiram was so happy when he heard Solomon's request that he said, 'I am grateful that the LORD gave David such a wise son to be king of that great nation!'" (CEV) Job and His Friends Friends come to each other when one faces adversity. When Job faced his toughest times, his friends were immediately there with him. In these times of great distress, Job's friends sat with him and let him do the talking. They felt his pain, but also allowed him to feel it without putting their burdens on him at that time. Sometimes just being there is a comfort. Job 2:11-13 - "Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, each one came from his own place—Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. For they had made an appointment together to come and mourn with him, and to comfort him. And when they raised their eyes from afar, and did not recognize him, they lifted their voices and wept; and each one tore his robe and sprinkled dust on his head toward heaven.

So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great." (NKJV). Elijah and Elisha Friends stick it out with one another, and Elisha shows that by not letting Elijah go to Bethel alone. 2 Kings 2:2 - "And Elijah said to Elisha, 'Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.' But Elisha replied, 'As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!' So they went down together to Bethel." (NLT). Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego While friends look out for one another, like Daniel did when he requested that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be promoted to high positions, sometimes God leads us to help our friends so they can help others. The three friends went on to show King Nebuchadnezzar that God is great and the only God. Daniel 2:49 - "At Daniel’s request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king’s court." (NLT) Jesus with Mary, Martha, and Lazarus Jesus had a close friendship with Mary, Martha, and Lazarus to a point where they spoke plainly to him, and he resurrected Lazarus from the dead. True friends are able to speak their minds honestly to one another, whether right or wrong.

Meanwhile, friends do what they can to tell each other the truth and help one another. Luke 10:38 - "As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him." (NIV) Paul, Priscilla, and Aquila Friends introduce friends to other friends. In this case, Paul is introducing friends to one another and asking that his greetings be sent to those close to him. Romans 16:3-4 - "Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them." (NIV) Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus Paul talks about the loyalty of friends and the willingness of those close to us to look out for one another. In this case, Timothy and Epaphroditus are the types of friends that take care of those close to them. Philippians 2:19-22 "I want to be encouraged by news about you. So I hope the Lord Jesus will soon let me send Timothy to you. I don't have anyone else who cares about you as much as he does. The others think only about what interests them and not about what concerns Christ Jesus. But you know what kind of person Timothy is. He has worked with me like a son in spreading the good news.

WHAT DID YOUR LAST TRIAL PRODUCE?

BY: KENDRA DUBLIN

Quarantine. Death. Job loss. Family issues. Marriage drama. Single-hood. Abuse. Neglect. Health problems. Car accident. Not finishing school. Jail. By now I think you get the picture. If I didn’t call out your situation, just insert it after “jail”. Anxiety. Fear. Depression. Bitterness. Weight gain. Weight loss. Headaches. Loss of appetite. Guilt. Shame. These seem to be the first symptoms of life’s struggles and disappointments. But does it have to be that way? As a Believer we should focus on God in our times of need, but does that really happen? Do you find yourself going to God, then later drowning him out with your woes? If your last trial has produced the list above, it’s time to rethink the way you prepare for your trials. We are introduced to Joseph in Genesis 37. His life revealed many life lessons, but I want to focus on three. Before we do, let’s look at his life until Pharaoh appoints him.

WHEN WE A B I D E To abide in the shadow of the Almighty is to remain in a fixed position, or condition of love and worship unto God. It’s to be so consumed with the presence of God that it becomes a lifestyle. Abiding in God does not only take place on the floor of our bedroom, the corner of a church while on our knees or even in our cars, but also in our hearts. It is a constant reverence and adoration to the living God. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly God has to be at the center, and we must always adore Him. When we crucify our emotions and our egos, we make room to abide in God. Oftentimes, we get frustrated with God’s timing, impatient when we don’t see the results of our petitions and His promises materialize.

@monicatheophilus founder @amomentwithmonica, minister, prayer warrior , writer and contributor at beauty&thegosoel magazine .

Truth be told if we were truly abiding in Him our emotions would be under the subjection of the Holy Spirit, and we would be still knowing that He is the same God today, yesterday and forever. Instead of worrying, we should retrace His wonders and miracles in our lives , because when we do abide, it is evident that He knows what is best for us, therefore worry is not an option, worship is!

@beautyandthegospel

ROTUBIRTNOC

Worshipping God cancels the demonic forces of fear and anxiety. Everything attached to fear is a hindrance that is not allowed to enter His throne room, so when we abide in the shadow of the almighty it will not be able to attach itself to us. It is why the enemy tries so hard to stop us from giving God thanks. He knows the moment we open our mouths to lift up the name of God the battle is over, and he is defeated.

According to Psalms 91: The favor of those who abide,

The outcry of authentic worship (authentic meaning we are not worshipping God for a blessing) dismantles any stronghold attempting to destroy us. It crushes every plan of satan and tears down the walls of bondage. “Because he has set his love upon Me, I will deliver him” Psalm 91: 14 (NKJV). Worship is our safety net away from the chaos of this fleeting world it creates an atmosphere of hope, peace, and total dependence on God. “ We abide when we worship.”

ROTUBIRTNOC

We have to press in our secret place with God to be taken into a deeper level in Him. What can restrain us from higher heights and deeper depths is the ungodly things we store up. 1. Unforgiveness/bitterness: God tells us we must forgive others in order for him to forgive us.If we harbor unforgiveness there is no way, we will be able to abide in God’s presence. 2. A heart of Murmur: Complaining against God will only shift us further away from Him. 3. Discontentment: We must have a heart of gratitude no matter what stage or season we are in. If we always desire someone else’s portion, we will never trust God enough to stay in Him. 4. Dishonor: If we do not honor God’s earthly vessels placed to help us mature as disciples of Christ, we also dishonor God.

Whatever cripples our worship has to be broken before we try to seek God’s face. We must repent and make things right and then we can enter into His glory of glories. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, mentally drained or broken it is because you have forgotten to abide in God. Get back to that place of reverencing God and you will find yourself rejoicing even in troubled times.

Doctrine is somehow just a simple thing called teaching, practical and understanding because Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. A disciple is a student of a teacher (Christ Is the GREATEST teacher). He did teach with his life Acts 1:1 “In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach. Christ taught a lot about giving (the women who gave her last, the parable of the unjust steward ,the parable of the parable of the talents etc) he even showed us how to give when he turned water in to wine giving the groom a wedding he would never forget as people praised ,he turned five loaves and two fish in to food for the multitude etc.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35. This is a teaching he teaches to the Elders he was sitting with at that time. Paul gives them an indicator that as much as he was a speaker, but he was also practical “in all things I have shown…. In all modes and spheres of his life, He was very instrumental in showing them good examples. By teaching and doing …. James says faith with no works is dead. In Philippians 4:8 he speaks about the good things we ought to do “Finally, -

brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things”. Giving is a matter of truth/fact if it is understood for what it is. It is: - Giving is honourable when done properly because it gives honour to God and the giver finds and sees honour. - Giving is just when we look at the example of Christ and Paul, and others around us - Giving is pure because it was taught by God and comes from God - Giving is lovely because it is an act of Love John 3:16 “For God loved the world that he gave …… SO giving is just self- sacrifice where we cannot expect anything in return - Giving is commendable when done according to scripture (SCRIPTURE IS GUIDANCE OF ALL WE DO) Philippians 4:9 “What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me-practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. In practice our giving should be able to stem from the heart.

@beautyandthegospel

He left us with his teachings, so in short Christians are students of Christ. In Matthew 28:20 Christ said teach them to observe all that I have commanded, and what He commanded is teachings hence we must understand giving as doctrine.

Practical -means that it is something that needs to be acted upon. What we need to understand is that teaching requires practicality because when Christ says things should be taught to others, he will never expect us to be taught what he never practiced (teachings and practical’s compliment or they are in correlation with one another. This is very interesting because when a preacher stands up to speak on giving brethren think that what is there to be taught about giving. The mindset should change about how we view giving and how we engage in giving.

Paul teaches and writes to the Corinthians (2 nd Letter) about giving. In 2 Corinthians 8:1-7 he teaches that the Macedonians gave beyond their means and that this is an action the Corinthians must learn from; they gave all willingly. He then points to Christ as the greatest example of all 2 Corinthians 8:8-15. He then emphasizes that what the Macedonians were doing it was not for their benefit but for the brethren at Judea 2 Corinthians 8:16-24. In 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 he talks about cheerful giving, the core of the message is in Verse 7 “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Each one has a responsibility to give (we have to break the culture we have created that giving is for the select few).

Decided in his heart (NKJV says as he purposes) by implication the word means with intention ,giving is an action interpreted from the intention of the heart (if our hearts are given to Jesus we then have a deeper understanding of giving like the Macedonians who Paul commends because they first gave themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ hence we need to let him lead even in giving by directing our hearts). Matthew 22:37 says: “give all to God even the heart”. We give freely preachers /leaders are simply not to force us, because what Paul means here is that people should not be burdened or feel like it is a burden. When we have given our lives to Christ and he rules our hearts we give with good intentions and God loves it.

Cheerful givers are loved by God, how can I be cheerful when I give money that I have worked for so hard (if we have given ourselves over to Christ he owns us and all we own Paul says I no longer live but he lives in me Galatians 2:20). Cheerful -hilaros (where we get our English hilarious), Paul says we need to literally be joyous when we give. Hence Paul says Christ said, “Blessed is the hand that gives than the hand that receives”. We are blessed when we give with a cheerful heart actions that intend on pleasing God produces blessings from God. In closing We see the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:3 They both give to God different offerings, from the two offerings God decides to accept only what Abel has given because it was properly given, and it was from a heart that was willing. The heart is important and as long as it is given to Christ our giving will show and it will be aimed at pleasing God. So, let us learn to give in an appropriate manner just as Christ gave what was pleasing for our sake.

God will lift

you up

Where He's able to heal, deliver, and help us. The devil wants to remove us from such positions. In the scripture above, the devil tried to move the three gentlemen from their positions. King Nebuchadnezzar decided to make a gold image and make a law that compels everyone to bow down and worship his image Shadrack, Meshack, and Abed-Nego, refused to serve the god of Nebuchadnezzar, they refused to move away from the position of miracle, they refused to move away from the position of promotion, they refused to move away from the position healing. In closure If you want God to lift you up, do not move away from the position of worshiping God, the position of serving God of heaven, that is the position of your miracle, it is the position of your breakthrough. May the Lord give you strength and courage to stand in your position even in times of tragedies and storms, for the Lord will not forget His own!

Scripture reading: Daniel 3:24-25,30 “Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” The king then promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon". When God is about to promote his servants the devil will know,

he (devil) will know of any miracle that God is about to perform in our lives and will try to stop it from happening. Now, the devil knows that he cannot stop God from doing what He wants to do in any way, so the only means he has, is to destruct the beneficiary(recipient) or try to make us move away from the position of receiving. In the book of 2 Chronicles 20 v 17, the Lord is saying to King Jehoshaphat and his people "position yourself, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord who is with you", this is a clear indication that there's a position where when we stand, God is able to fight for us, He's able to perform a miracle for us.

More than Enough Message taken from Colossians 2:9-10 (NLT) Colossians 2:9-10 (NLT): "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority." Words almost fail to describe this kind of love and grace: how the God of the universe, the One who created heaven and earth, so longed to have fellowship and communion with us that He gave what is priceless - His Son, Jesus. Moreover, He chose to have His own Spirit live not in the midst of jewels, precious stones or fancy containers; but He lives in us - His own creation. His presence in our lives is not dormant, but alive and energising. His resurrection power quickens our mortal bodies and enables us to overcome everything that comes against us. The fullness of God is what is living inside us right here, right now! It's time to get our hearts, minds, words, and actions on board with this truth. This way He can display His power through us so people can see, experience and draw near to Him to find true life in Him too. Today become fully aware of the sufficiency of the One who lives inside you. Remember you are in Christ and He is more than enough - trust Him to rule over everything you face in this life.

WE ARE SERVANTS! HOW TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE SERVANTS?

No matter your title, you didn't earn it. Nothing given to us belongs to us. Why? because in a second it can ALL be simply taken away, removed, destroyed, and gon that easy. In these times that we are living, with more reasoning, we should see that our wants, desires, preparations, goals, careers, are important, but they are NOT EVERYTHING. The Giver of life and Creator has a divine right to give or take away, so let's stop living this life as the Bible says chasing after the wind. Jesus, the second person in the trinity, God Himself made flesh, had it ALL, owned it ALL, had ALL authority on HEAVEN AND EARTH, and yet served. He was the Master, the teacher, the peacemaker, the one who bared ALL Fruits of the Spirit, owned ALL gifts of the Spirit, and STILL- HE SERVED! We are teachers because we have students. We can be titled pastors because there are sheep without a caregiver.

We can be titled preachers because we have a congregation to hear us. We can be called a public figure because we have a public. We can be called motivational speakers because there are people that need motivation. You can be called an Author because there were empty pages you chose to write letters into. You are a missionary because you are on a mission to spread the gospel. You are the leader because there are some individuals following in need of guidance. You are called an Evangelist because there are souls to evangelize. You are titled an Apostle because there's a need for more established churches of God. You are titled Prophet because there are people in need of a message. YOU HAVE NO TITLE WITHOUT THE PEOPLE that receives from such functions. Therefore; realize that we are all SERVANTS that serve forward what God puts into our earthly vessels. If there were no PEOPLE to receive it, then you remain being an UNUSEFUL VESSELS that may be full of gifts but selfishly useless by choice. For not choosing to serve the PEOPLE. "It's never about YOU, it's about the people" EVERYTHING YOU HAVE, IS TO SERVE IT FORWARD. Even in the practical ways of all the TITLES MENTIONED ABOVE; to serve the people we must: study, pray, read and fast even when you don't feel like it- WORK- to pour out. It's just like when you are about to cook a meal, you go through a bit of the hassle to get the ingredients, you sweat in the kitchen, especially on a hot day or a day you didn't feel like cooking, you have patience while you wait for it to be ready AND then YOU get ready for what? TO SERVE!

“Are you all in” because even preachers need to be preached to!

10,000 pastors and leaders is a powerful sight! The conference started on Thursday but I couldn’t come until Saturday. Katie, our international coordinator, had written to them to say that I could only attend the final session on the final day, and they really helped me out with a good seat! There is great respect here for the work you and I are doing. I know from experience that TD Jakes’ final seminar is always something special; he’s able to tie all the teaching together. It was an amazing meeting. If you are a preacher, it is important that you get preached to. Everyone has to eat; where do you eat? Who gives you food? “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God,” and even preachers need to be preached to. Also, our lives are like storehouses. When you preach and keep giving out, your storehouse needs to be filled up again with prayer, quiet time, Bible study and the sermons of others. What you fill your life with is what comes out when you preach! If you are filling your life with TV shows, then you will start sounding like a TV show. I try to listen to at least one sermon a week, sometimes two. I like to listen when I am jogging, because then I get hooked on a part of the sermon I am listening to, then I start preaching, and then I forget that I am running! I have also learned to write down things as I listen. It really helps me stay concentrated and fills my storehouse.

'''What you fill your life with is what comes out when you preach! If you are filling your life with TV shows, then you will start sounding like a TV show.” The following day the Sunday service started at 9 a.m. and it is a bit complicated to get to The Potter’s House in Dallas. The meeting lasts for 3 hours, but when you know that “faith comes by hearing”, then you get yourself to a sermon! That’s what I do on Sundays when I am home. I always listen to a sermon in the afternoons.

I will turn 57 this summer and God has given us – you and me, because we are in this together – a new vision. It will take several years to see it through, and when it is over, we will have reached more people who never heard about Jesus, saved more orphaned street children and trafficking victims, and helped more Jews home. But it won’t happen if you and I play it safe! The boy with two fish and five loaves gave everything he had to Jesus. He didn’t keep one fish and one loaf just in case it didn’t work. He went “all in.” Going “all in” is daring to take the final step and give everything! Either you break through or you get broken. If you do your part, I’ll do mine. We aren’t supposed to do it all, we aren’t all supposed to do the same thing. Each of us does according to his or her own ability, but all of us are called to go “all in” with the talent Jesus has given each of us. Come on! Let’s do this together! Let’s love everyone and be humble. I also believe that if you and I go “all in,” it will even light a fire under the ones who have lost their spark, because deep inside, all believers want to go “all in” for Jesus.
