Attend an informative information session with an Empire Career Planning Specialist, where you will tour the school, meet educators and other students, and get a complete understanding of the opportunities that await you in a career in cosmetology.
GED credential. Empire wants to make sure that any potential future beauty professional who lacks that diploma or certification can get one as easily and affordably as possible.
ASSESS your skill level. You’ll complete a 30-45 minute skills assessment that will help determine how much preparation you will need in order to take the GED test.
That’s why we developed The Empire GED Edge Program. We want to help you get started in a great career in cosmetology by providing everything you need to get started in one easy-to-follow package.
Take the GED PREP review course, if you meet the guidelines in the skills assessment. • You will need online access using a desktop or laptop computer in order to complete the MyFoundationsLab GED Prep Course. While it is possible to view the course content on a mobile phone, the course includes pre-tests and practice tests that would be difficult to complete on a small device.
• We recommend spending one week completing the work for each of the five topics, for a total of five weeks prep time. Each topic will typically take 5-6 hours to complete.
• MyFoundationsLab provides you with student success, test-taking tips, and strategies to help you pass the GED test in: Math :: Science :: Social Studies Reading :: Writing
• Your Empire Career Planning Specialist will monitor your progress and help you every step of the way.
