FREE DROP IN SESSIONS BedsRCC are hosting a free Drop-In session on the first Thursday of every month, with the next one being on the 4th November 2021 between 10am and 12pm at Christ the King Church Hall, Harrowden Road, Bedford, MK42 0SP. You will be able to access free support and information, or you can just pop in for a chat with one of our attending organisations. All are welcome. Some of the organisations attending are, BedsRCC Social Prescribing team, BPHA, Carers in Bedfordshire, Citizens Advice Bureau, Direction for Bedfordshire and NOAH Academy.
REWIND RETRO ARCADE Have you paid a visit to the Rewind Retro Arcade in The Arcade, Bedford yet? A NEW HOME FOR WATERSTONES In its bright and shiny new location in Midland Road, Waterstones Bedford will continue to serve both local citizens and the large number of tourists who visit our lovely and historic county town. The new store will include a large Children’s department, a thriving Fiction section, as well as a wide range of Non-Fiction books. The new store will also have a great range of Gifts and Stationery, just in time for Christmas!
NORTH BEDFORDSHIRE CAMRA (CAMPAIGN FOR REAL ALE) AWARDS 2021 A huge well done to three Bedford pubs who all won awards in this year’s North Bedfordshire CAMRA awards. The Devonshire Arms in Dudley Street was named pub of the year for the second year running, the newly re-opened Gordon Arms in Castle Road picked up most improved pub, and the White Horse in Newnham Avenue won community pub of the year.
