Burrow at the Blues Step through the leafy green archway on Goldington Road and you’ll find one of Bedford’s most exciting venues. Overlooking the Bedford Blues grounds, you’ll find a secret spot serving up street food and good times. Whether you want to watch the rugby or have drinks with friends, they’ve got you covered. The service is super friendly and you can even bring your pooch along too. The bar is a converted container with big tables, festoon lighting and lots of heaters for keeping warm over the winter. There’s a great choice of drinks which includes a cocktail menu, I’ll have the raspberry limoncello fizz please! The food is no messing and will please the whole family. The buttermilk chicken burger was my favourite, perfectly crispy batter and juicy chicken inside. You have to get the dirty fries too, they do not hold back on the toppings. The fries are smothered in cheese, bacon, crispy onions and loads of sauce, too good to share! The meat is locally sourced from Lingers butchers and there are vegan options on the menu too. With winter drawing in, this really is the perfect spot to spend a cosy evening. A hidden gem that you need to try!
