MIDTERM NOTES The Good The concept is strong is speaks of a prevalent and epidemic issue that our society is struggling with, the design that is following the concept is clear the idea play, inviting the visitors to be part of it. The from language is working, it dose not represents the victim and healing their pain, which is great. The Bad The messaging and wording about what each exhibition are about need to be specific and in detail, the function of the mask can be much broader, for example they can be bar-coded and visitor can use them as key to discover the space, (each might reveal part of story of a designated character. We need stronger connection, introducing characters into exhibition so the participants will follow what have happened to them. The Ugly Communication problem, the boards it has to be better explanation to highlight and underline the fact that “STUN” is not showcasing the victims, That has to be supported by WHY, is that direction taken, (of course we are taking about the victims and what is the result of sexual assault, but through the lens of bystander effect.

MIDTERM NOTES Currents, and waves will force the “Linear Structure to Rotate, that preventing the views to be informed. Contradiction of having specific data and location, to design or not having that set ground. Location suggestion: the Catalina Island better option for rentals Issues with scale, being on ocean there is a lot to look at. panels form are coming down like a sun shade, Blocking views, and limitation sensation. Clustered of the form(a group of units), or being isolated and singular unit. Form of the turbine, not currently illustrated, it can be dragged along the boat. forms being more transformable, to adapt to different mood and situation, (getting sick of seeing all the water all the time, or opening up so immerse in the ocean) Overall form language, similar version of Sydney opera house, (one form falls into the other) But there is disconnect going with the form. Considering how, all the equipments/facilities such as, whats in the kitchen and bathroom will respond to the curved walls. Minimalist lifestyle, some people go for couple seclusion, what dose that mean? Framing, story boarding, sequencing of that scenario.
