Campus Transformation Continues With New STEM Center
10
Since 1969, the Nancy C. Sawin Math/Science Center has served as the home of Sanford’s exceptional Upper School math and science programs. Dark and dated, the 52-year-old building does not meet the 21st-century needs of our students and teachers.
School leaders and the Board of Trustees have begun planning for the transformation of the building into a state-of-the-art science, technology, engineering, and math center. The projected cost of the project is $6,000,000. Several donors have already committed to supporting this initiative, and we will be launching a capital campaign in the future.
Although we have not fi nalized the design for our new STEM Center, we have been working with our architect to create conceptual artist renderings, which are presented on these pages.
We encourage you to stay tuned for more information about this project in future communications. In the meantime, if you would like to learn more before the campaign begins, or if you are interested in supporting this new campus enhancement, please contact Associate Head of School for Advancement Jaime Morgan at morganj@sanfordschool.org or 302.235.6504.
