HARAN SARAH HARAN Paisley, Scotland Founder, Sarah Haran Accessories SarahHaran.com MY BUSINESS: Sarah Haran Accessories is a luxury handbag brand known for its exceptional versatility and innovative popper system that allows women to restyle their bags effortlessly. I founded Sarah Haran Accessories in 2017. My personal mission was the driving force behind our journey, aiming to create handbags that seamlessly transition from day to evening. With my training under the former creative director of Mulberry, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our designs. What truly sets our handbags apart is our popper system, offering a wide range of looks from just one handbag. MOST REWARDING: The most rewarding aspect of my work is the impact our handbags have on women's lives. Seeing how our designs empower women to express their unique style, fostering a sense of confidence and versatility in their fashion choices, brings immense satisfaction. Our customers often share stories of how our handbags have become an integral part of their daily lives, and that sense of connection and impact is truly rewarding. SECRET TO MY SUCCESS: The secret to our success lies in our unwavering commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of our customers' desires. 28

ELIZABETH GREEN New York, NY CEO, Moonblu Media MoonbluMedia.com MY BUSINESS: Born in London, I came to New York knowing two people—and I wanted adventure. So, at age 60, I bought a restaurant and ran it, my first ever business, a little challenging! I did that for a few years here in New York and then the writer in me surfaced. I published my first book, ”Not In The Script: The Black Sheep in the Billionaire's Family,“ a memoir about being the forgotten member of my illustrious family. Then I met a marvelous director and screenwriter, Joey MHz, and we wrote a film script together based on my memoir. This inspired me to create my very own production company, Moonblu Media, and we are now in development to turn it into a film. We are here to do that for anyone who has a script or an idea—please include us in your creative process. If I can do it, anyone can; after all, this is the land of dreams. I have now written a second book “Being a Woman in New York Sucks.“ Oh yes, I’ve become a ’New Yawker.‘ Just looking for a publisher before we turn it into a TV series. Darren Star, are you there?! Well, a girl can dream! MOST REWARDING: The most rewarding aspect is finding my voice. When I was 18, I told my mother I wanted to write, and she told me it would be too hard. It took until I was 70 to publish my first book. Revisiting my life as we wrote the script for my film has been like doing therapy every day, supported by my business partner Joey MHz. I want to make a difference; I want to inspire others to speak out, own their feelings, and feel completely fulfilled. Especially, please hug your daughters and tell them that they can do anything they want... anything is possible—we women know that. SECRET TO MY SUCCESS: Feel the fear and do it anyway. I love people, I love human interaction, I’m just pushing forward. Every day I declare myself lovable and enough.

He is also the founder of Yoshiki Foundation America, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit organization, and has long been committed to philanthropy. His business ventures include the Japanese record label Extasy Records, the Y by Yoshiki wine brand, Y by YOSHIKI champagne with Champagne Pommery, and a partnership with Coca Cola to release two brand-new energy drinks, Real Gold X and Real Gold. His reach extends to everything from a Madame Tussauds wax figure to a dashing kimono-clad superhero created by Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee. And this year, YOSHIKI announced his new high fashion brand MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week. Yoshiki’s directorial debut, YOSHIKI: UNDER THE SKY, debuted this fall and held its international premier in New York City’s Times Square, featuring a global concert with today's top musical artists. Yoshiki gathered an extraordinary collection of international artists for this film, featuring powerful live performances by The Chainsmokers, St. Vincent, Sarah Brightman, Scorpions, HYDE, SUGIZO, SixTONES, Jane Zhang, Lindsey Stirling, Nicole Scherzinger, and more. Interspersed throughout the film are interviews with Yoshiki about his passion for music, the pain of having lost loved ones, and exploring the healing power of music. The film's debut comes just one month before Yoshiki will perform his “Yoshiki Classical 10th Anniversary World Tour” with Orchestra 2023 "REQUIEM", headlining shows at Tokyo Garden Theater in Tokyo, Royal Albert Hall in London, Dolby Theater in L.A., and Carnegie Hall in New York. This tour will be the first time a Japanese artist has headlined all these historic venues. "When I first began working on this project, I didn't know when we would all be able to gather in the same place and share the joy of music,” says Yoshiki. “Coming together with these great artists from around the world, we were able to create a theatrical experience that I'm very proud of. I'm so grateful for everyone who joined us on this journey." Yoshiki.net @yoshikiofficial YouTube.com/yoshiki

Book Recommendations Readers Will Love By Barbara Bellesi Zito
Books are the gift that keeps on giving. Here, we’ve rounded up some of the best titles that are on our radar this season.
For those who love a thought-provoking memoir…
For those with a passion for good food and good deeds…
“Blissful Thinking: A Memoir of Overcoming the Wellness Revolution” by L.L. Kirchner | Motina Books After her husband asked for a divorce over the phone, Kirchner was scared she’d return to the addictions she fought so hard to overcome. In an effort to pick up the pieces, she launches herself on a spiritual journey that takes her from one side of the world to the other. This page-turner of a memoir takes us through Kirchner’s quest to regain her confidence and ability to love again.
“The World Central Kitchen Cookbook: Feeding Humanity, Feeding Hope” by José Andrés | Clarkson Potter Publishers Spanish-American chef and restaurateur Andrés founded the World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding communities impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crises. This book gathers stories and recipes from chefs and other volunteers who have been on the ground in these devastated regions. Don’t miss the forward by Stephen Colbert and contributions from Marcus Samuelsson, Emeril Lagasse, Michelle Obama, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
For those who crave a compelling fantasy series… “The Echoes of Fallen Stars: Gods and Mortals” by J.D. Netto | NettoVerse What if Lucifer was doomed not because of his rebellion against Hannell the Creator, but his love for him? This tale of forbidden love is what starts off Netto’s “The Echoes of Fallen Stars” series and continues with the latest installment, “Gods and Mortals,” in which “gods are sinners, mortals are bait, and faith is a thorn in the flesh.”
Big News for the Big Screen #BookTok favorite Colleen Hoover’s “It Ends With Us” is getting the Hollywood treatment. Blake Lively is set to play Lily Bloom, and Justin Baldoni (who is also directing the film) will play Ryle Kincaid. The film is set for release some time next year. 36

Animal Totems
Animal Power and Healing Advice Animal totems have been around since humans. We all have animal instincts and have had a pet of some sort in our lives. Animals are there to protect or heal us in some way. Let’s see what animal comes out for your sign as this year comes to a close. (Make sure to also look at your Rising and Moon signs as well as your Sun sign.)
Aries
Seagull: Tidy Up The seagulls are here to tell you it’s time to clean up and get organized this season, Aries! That can be as minor as cleaning a room and your closet or it could be as large as whittling down your social circle. Either way, it’s time to make some choices!
Taurus
Rooster: Laughter and Joy Taurus, another year is almost in the books. Spend these last few weeks of 2023 laughing or celebrating what you have accomplished this year. Make sure to remember the small things and be grateful for what you have in your life. Gemini Crow: Trust in transformation You’ve had a lot of things shift lately or within the year, Gemini. Make sure to trust this transformation that has happened and will continue. Life is all about choices, and when you accept that things usually never stay the same, it will be easier to move forward in comfort.
Cancer
Fox: Welcome nighttime magic Hey there, Foxy Cancer! Looks like you are feeling pretty confident and want to have a night out more than usual. Go for it–people will be drawn to your unique essence and the way you move! You have the charm and the magic spell to end the year.
Leo
Mouse: Release worry Leo, you are usually the loud lion, but its’ time to move in secret and silence—and very quickly! The mouse energy knows just where to go without anyone noticing. However, sometimes things can feel like a trap. If it looks too good to be true it may just be. Use your strength to get in and out and leave drama behind.
Virgo
Roadrunner: Transform your energy Virgos, you and Gemini are transforming for the year ahead. You are both ruled by the planet Mercury, but you are transforming energy and will need to trust the process. Energy can never be destroyed, so it’s up to you to decide what you want changed in your life. Is your energy slow or fast? You have the essence to stop time or speed it up—it’s totally up to you.
Libra
Bull: Step forward It’s time to take charge and step forward, Libras! You are all about balance, but it’s time to tip the scales and run after what you want. Don’t let anyone grab you by the horn this time and slow you down. Be a little wild straight out of the gate.
Scorpio
Rhinoceros: Get out of your own way It’s time to move your stubborn ways aside, Scorpio! What’s holding you back is you. Have a chat with yourself and figure out a plan to move ahead for the year ahead. Are you afraid and protecting yourself a bit too much? Be safe—sure—but live a little and get out of your own head!
Sagittarius
Beetle: Think optimistically We all have things that can go wrong at times, Sagittarius, but don’t let that make you a Negative Nancy. Try and shift the mood by listing to your favorite music or do something you love to put you in a better mood. Release those endorphins and then think of another way to accomplish your task.
Capricorn
Bee: Celebrate life It’s time to get things buzzing, Capricorn. You are a worker bee, and that’s OK, but remember to be the queen bee sometimes and enjoy the honey, not just work for it! Life can be sticky or sweet, but take time to celebrate what you have accomplished. Be like Beyonce —Queen Bee—the rest of the year!
Aquarius
Seal: Find a heart connection The song that comes to mind is “Listen to Your Heart” by Roxette. What gives you peace? Surrender to that! We’ve all had a broken heart but finding a connection again is what humans do. The mind can be tricky to listen to, but the heart will always be louder.
Pisces
Butterfly: Lighten up Butterflies are usually all about transformation, but before you can get there, Pisces, maybe it’s time to lighten up—let go and let it happen. If things are meant for you, they will come. Don’t let things bring you down too much. Remember: The butterfly has the most transforming shift of all animals; with that said, you transform the most! So, lighten up and fly high. 37
