Legal Notices Legal Notice Scott County has released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for public comment on a proposed aggregate mining operation called Jordan Aggregates Proposed Mining Operation. The project site is located in Section 8 and 17 of Sand Creek Township, Scott County. Copies of the draft EIS are available at the Shakopee and Jordan Library. Copies are also available for review during County Courthouse office hours in the Environmental Health and Inspections Department. This draft EIS is also presented on the Scott County Web site (www. co.scott.mn.us). The comment period will be open from January 21, 2013 through February 20, 2013, as noted in the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board’s newsletter, the EQB Monitor. Publication of the EQB Monitor is scheduled for January 21, 2013. Comments must be received before 4:30 P.M., February 20, 2013, for consideration. Scott County will host a public information meeting from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6th, 2013, to discuss the Draft EIS. The meeting will be held in the SCALE Regional Public Safety Training Facility at 17706 Valley View Dr., in Jordan MN.
