NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING You are hereby notified that a hearing will be held by the Scott County Board of Commissioners in the County Board Room, of the Scott County Government Center, 200 Fourth Avenue West, Shakopee, Minnesota on: May 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. PURPOSE OF HEARING: To receive comments from the public on Body Worn Cameras REQUESTED ACTION: The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is planning to implement a system of portable recording devices, also known as body worn cameras, for deputies that are licensed peace officers. Under Minnesota State Statute 626.8473, Subdivision 2: Before a local law enforcement agency purchases or implements a portable recording system, it must first provide an opportunity for public comment by mail, electronically, and at a regularly scheduled meeting of the governing body with jurisdiction over the budget.
