LIGHT MANUFACTURING Light Manufacturing refers to manufacturing activity that is less capital intensive and that uses moderate amounts of partially processed materials to produce, fabricate, assemble, or disassemble items that are mostly geared for end users. While still a relatively small sector in Belize and has historically focus on supplying the local market, there has been a gradual expansion of the basket of goods produced by light manufacturers; this basket has expanded to include manufactured goods such as: textiles and apparel, wood products, paper and printing products, chemicals and plastics and non-metallic mineral product.
