Nursing Associates/Assistant Practitioners
Nursing Associates and Assistant Practitioners are staff who work alongside nurses in delivering your care, but who have received additional training.
Healthcare Assistants
Healthcare Assistants are staff who work alongside nurses in delivering your care.
Therapy Team
Therapists are registered health professionals who will work with you, your medical and ward team and give advice on your treatment.
This may include: • Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to help you to regain your independence • Dietitian to assess your nutrition needs and make recommendations that will help with your recovery • Speech and Language Therapist to assess your swallowing and/or communication
Other members of the team
You may also see other members of the ward team, such as Pharmacists, Phlebotomists (who take your blood), Ward Clerks, Ward Discharge Coordinators, Housekeepers or Volunteers.
