Berkeley Hall’s total score ranks us in the top 5 percent of accredited clubs nationwide, reflecting our commitment to provide the well-balanced lifestyle our members and teammates desire.” Berkeley Hall has also been named among the top 100 Platinum Clubs of America for 2020-2021, and as a Distinguished Club by Club Leaders Forum, prestigious honors attained by only the finest clubs in the world.

RETIRED AIR FORCE GEN. LLOYD NEWTON AIMS TO INSPIRE YOUNGER GENERATION Berkeley Hall member Ret. U.S. Air Force Four-Star General Lloyd "Fig" Newton has led a highly distinguished military career. Of course, General Newton is well known around our Berkeley Hall community as our BHC neighbor. Passionate about education, he currently serves as board chairman for Ridgeland-based Polaris Tech charter school, and his success story is the inspiration for his recently released book, Living the Dream,

Yes, we're on it! We love our special spot in the Lowcountry! So it's no surprise to us that Bluffton is #8 on Travel + Leisure's “Best Small Towns in the South” list! “This seaside town is home to upscale resort communities surrounded by old oak trees, Spanish moss, and resurrection ferns,” says Travel + Leisure. Of course, we already know how special our Lowcountry setting is, here at Berkeley Hall Club.
Marie McConnell has been appointed to the new position of Marketing & Membership Experience Manager for Berkeley Hall Club. With a background in private club management, Marie most recently served as Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Berkeley Hall Club. Prior to that, she served as Director of Sales for Fox Valley Club in Lancaster, New York. She continues her club management career as she leads our concierge team and partners with cottage owners, along with marketing responsibilities. In her new role, Marie will oversee defined programming initiatives to enhance the cottage guest and owner experience. We wish Marie great success in her new position.

Berkeley Hall’s Experience Expert Awards Program recognizes, celebrates and rewards employees who exemplify the club’s values in their job performance and interactions with co-workers, management, members and guests. Members can nominate Experience Experts by completing our online nomination form found on the member website under the My Club tab. Allen Peterson exemplifies the Berkeley Experience, with his outstanding member and guest service. Allen has served on our Outside Golf Staff since March of 2020.

Allen’s warm and professional manner welcomes golfers and defines our commitment to excellence at the Club. Owen Davis is a valued member of our Berkeley Hall team, well-known for his welcoming smile and impeccable member and guest service. U.S. Army National Guard and Assistant Director of Berkeley Hall Security Romario Whittaker recently presented BHC Director of Security J.W. Sims with the Patriotic Employer Award, granted by the Department of Security & Defense. “I am deeply thankful to J.W. and the Club for their tremendous support. As stated on the certificate, this honor is bestowed to employers ‘for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force,’ and I am honored to present it to J.W.,” said Romario.
