Berkeley Hall member Ret. U.S. Air Force Four-Star General Lloyd "Fig" Newton has led a highly distinguished military career. Of course, General Newton is well known around our Berkeley Hall community as our BHC neighbor. Passionate about education, he currently serves as board chairman for Ridgeland-based Polaris Tech charter school, and his success story is the inspiration for his recently released book, Living the Dream, The Story of Lloyd W. "Fig" Newton. In the recent August issue of Monthly magazine, editor Anthony Garzilli offers an in-depth view of his impactful career and life story in Reach for the Sky.
