New report details changes in Berlin’s growth

The median age of Berlin residents is 43. Median household income is just over $80,000. The town’s predicted growth rate out to 2015 is 1.5 percent. That data comes from the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. which has just released the latest metrics to its town profiles. These profiles detail demographic, economic, housing, education and workplace data for Connecticut’s municipalities. The full report is available

The Town’s Annual Report for 2010 is out and this year the focus is on the new Berlin Animal Control Facility, 600 Christian Lane, that opened in 2010. The first “guest” to arrive was Baxter, a long haired Chihuahua, found on Baxter Avenue, adopted by a Berlin family who had another dog from the Berlin pound.
