Voters reject budget again

Finance board weighs deeper cuts By Devin Leith-Yessian The Citizen

The Board of Finance discussed cutting millions from the municipal and Board of Education budgets at a Wednesday, May 23 meeting following the second rejection of a town budget at referendum last week. "In the last, I don't know, six weeks, we have been called inexperienced, irresponsible, unwilling to do our job, unwilling to listen to the voters,” said finance board member Mark Holmes. “They've spoken twice now. Business students convene in Atlanta The Berlin High School DECA chapter earned the organization’s highest honor of being awarded an opportunity to compete and participate in the annual International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in April.

This year the Berlin business department had 23 students competing at the state level. The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and test students’ academic understanding and skill level.
