Drama Club performs ‘You Can’t Take It With You’ Members of the Berlin High School Drama Club presented “You Can’t Take It With You” Jan. 6 and 8. A tale of two families, the plot centers around the close-knit, high-on-life Sycamores – including its patriarch, grandfather Martin Vanderhof, who has a bit if an income tax situation – and the more uptight, focused-on-wealth Kirbys. The story revolves around their experiences when daughter Alice Sycamore falls in love with son Tony Kirby and the two families meet to get acquainted. Rate increases for Timberlin Golf Club were proposed recently by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The cost of a season pass for residents is proposed to increase by 4.28 percent, from $935 to $975. Non-residents are expected to see a 3.13 percent increase, from $1,600 to $1,650. See Timberlin, A3
