Essay about Backing Up Data on Your Computer
Backing up your data is essential in securing your files from being lost or destroyed. It can also be a great way to install your pictures and videos onto another computer. Luckily, now a days, purchasing a storage device is easier than ever. They are available online, as well as through many major retailers. The price is usually reasonable and is determined by the amount of data that you need to store.
The Benefits of a Data Backup Device –

The Types of Storage Devices Available– There are many different types of data storage devices available. Many of these storage devices can be purchased online or at your local department store. The most common data backup devices are; flash drive, external hard drive and online backup software. All three of these items can provide you with the necessary protection that you need to back up your data.
Flash Disk
A flash disk is a small USB device that resembles the size of a pack of gum. When the device is plugged into your computer, you can transfer files, pictures and video to the memory. Once the files are transferred unto the flash drive, they can be recovered on any computer, just by inserting the drive into the other computer's USB port. Because the drive is so small, it can be attached to a key chain or necklace for safekeeping. This type of data storage device is commonly use by students.
External Hard Drive
An external hard drive is a drive that resembles the size of a CD player. The drive is intended to stay outside of the laptop or computer modem. It becomes attached to the computer by the use of an USB cord. Once the hard drive is connected, you can transfer your files unto it. The device can be stored practically anywhere for safekeeping.
Online Data Backup Programs

Edward Ned Kelly was Australia's most famous bushranger; regarded by many as a hero who fought "for the rights of the battler." Whether Ned Kelly was a hero, however, has been debated throughout Australia's history. Evidence shows that Ned was a murderous villain who terrorised towns and robbed wealthy pastoralists; a man who broke the law and committed an array of crimes that were both evil and immoral. Ned Kelly was a villain; an outlaw and thief who is wrongly immortalised as an Australian hero.
Ned Kelly was the leader of a lawbreaking group of criminals named the 'Kelly Gang;' a group established in 1876 that included Ned, his brother Dan, and their two friends Steve Hart and Joe Byrne. Ned was a significant figure in this gang;...show more content...
The culminating events of Ned Kelly's life led to the gruesome murder at Stringybark Creek; when Ned knowingly murdered three innocent policemen. This incident occurred in October, 1880 when a group of policemen were searching for Ned and his brother Dan near the Wombat Ranges. This small contingency of officers included Sergeant Kennedy and Constables McIntyre, Lonigan and Scalon. While searching for Dan and Ned, the officers split into two groups in order to find the fugitives. Even though the officers were disguised as prospectors, Dan and Ned recognised them immediately and began shooting at them. During the battle, three of the officers died; only McIntyre managed to escape and return back to testify against Ned. Although some historians believe that the murder of these officers at Stringybark Creek was an accident, evidence shows that Ned deliberately shot at these innocent men. Just before leaving the crime scene, Ned stole Sergeant Kennedy's gold watch and later stated, "What's the use of a watch to a dead man?" These evil, soulless words were truly spoken by a cruel and deplorable villain.
Even though many consider Ned Kelly to be a significant national representative of Australian culture and heroism, the evil deeds that Ned Kelly committed during his life were not forgotten on the 27th of June, 1880. His criminal record was mostly overshadowed by his brave, courageous and loyal traits that won him the love of his people

Reflective Essay For College
During my freshman year of undergraduate school, I received a D in general chemistry. I felt uncomfortable asking for help when I did not understand the material and was easily intimated by the abundance of upperclassmen in the course. I did not properly utilize the TA sessions or office hours from the professors. Because I did not have a strong foundation in general chemistry, I continued to struggle throughout my chemistry courses, receiving D's in Organic Chemistry I and II. I felt shameful and embarrassed about my poor grades, and that self–imposed stigma followed me throughout my undergraduate career, and to some extent graduate school. When I retook Organic Chemistry II, I earned an A by studying more diligently and frequenting my

Beowulf's Qualities Of A Hero
Throughout the story Beowulf displays many attributes of a hero. For example, he displays bravery, honor and strength in many situations throughout the entire story, proving to everyone why he is a hero. Although these aren't all of the characteristics of a hero, these are the most important of a hero back in Beowulf's time and these characteristics is what most people strived to have but only came to a select few. The first characteristic and maybe the most important one that Beowulf possessed was bravery. He displayed his bravery several times throughout the story and one of the most iconic was when he dove right into grendel's mother's lair. "He lept into the lake, would not wait for anyone's answer; The heaving water covered him over." This

Words are very powerful things, they are not simply just letters written on a sheet of paper; they can inspire, motivate, and evoke certain emotions. Think of your favorite songs and realize that the lyrics can bring joy, happiness, sadness, depression, loneliness, longing, or any emotion imaginable to others based on their own personal experiences. Dave Matthews' song lyrics for "Funny The Way It Is" are able to capture this...show more content...
To "carry the fire" was the boys main concern and those words meant a world of difference (McCarthy np). It gave the man and his son the strength and encouragement to just keep going. Khaled Hossieni's novel The Kite Runner used the repetition of the saying "for you a thousand times over" to induce an overwhelming response in the reader's emotions through the use of irony (Hosseini np). The huge power of words in literature, speeches, songs, and sermons are seen over and over again. The use of such powerful words can evoke emotions, motivations, and encouragement to the listeners because they are not just characters put together...there is emotion behind each single word. Cain and Abelis a story found from within the Bible about two brothers who are to give god a sacrifice to show how sorry they were for their sins. Cain the older brother is a farmer and decides to burn up some of his leftover hay while his brother, Abel, who tended after the sheep, picked the biggest and best one to sacrifice. When Abel's burned brighter Cain knew that God had rejected his gift and became livid with his brother ("The Story..." 1). Cain struck him and killed him, when God found this out he exiled him to the lands east of Eden and uttered "Timshel." This story is similar to the one of Charles and Adam Trask and almost repeats itself again with Cal and Aron. All three of these stories are filled with sin and manipulation, finally turning into guilt and redemption. What Get more content

People a little bit older after college could be stressed by trying to find a job or trying to find or support a family. Older people could be stressed if they are running out of money but besides that older people are probably the least stressful people in are population.

I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. Hail thee, Thane of Glamis! All hail Macbeth! Hail thee, Thane of Cawdor! All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!"

PHILOSOPHICAL ARGUMENT (400 words)
According to Sartre (1948, p.1) Existentialism is a principle that renders human life possible, through the affirmation that all truth and action denote an environment and a human subjectivity. A belief that the essence of man precedes that existence which we encounter through experience (Sartre, 1948, p. 3). Existentialism places the full responsibility for one's existence upon our own shoulders; putting a man in ownership of himself as he is, responsible for his own individuality (Sartre, 1948, p. 3). But he is also responsible for men, as he fashions a certain image of man, as I would have them to be (Sartre, 1948, p. 4). "I think, therefore I am", this is the supreme truth of consciousness as it attains to itself (Sartre, 1948, p. 9). Through this man invents and defines himself; this is specifically what Sartre means by 'freedom' and provides a connection to understanding 'selfhood' (Richey, 2015, p. 8). It is conceivable to be free without having explicit consciousness of our freedom (Vasey, 2010, p. 2). As if a person could simply be who he is, Vasey (2010, p. 8) states then he would be in the present, and the present tense would be just right for capturing his experience, his relationship to both himself and his world. At the core of existentialism, is the absolute character of the free commitment, by which everyone realises his or her selves in comprehending a type of humanity. Such humanity refers to a commitment

About Me! By: Jonna S. My Best friend My best friend is amazing! Ever since the first day of school she's been there. Basically what happened was on the first day I was at silver hills and had no idea who anyone was so i just sat at a table and she was like, "Hi I'm Daphnie what's your name?," of course i said Jonna cause that's my name. Eventually we ran into each other at lunch so we sat down and talked for awhile to each other and then we walked to my next class and I was like wow you wanna be friends. She said of course cause i mean come on i'm amazing! Honestly we had a lot of good memories together from the 6th grade and i'm very excited to create brand new ones with her. She is amazing and I see perfection in her even though she disagrees i don't care she is perfect in my eyes and i will always be there for her I don't care what happens between us and i just wanna say thank you and i love you best friend! We got off the bus and that's when our adventurous day started. But really, what we thought was a fun day, others thought we were crazy and scared for us! For example, both of our entire households. This is how it all started. It was a very casual afternoon throughout school. Nothing different from any other day, until we got on the bus. Mackenzie particularly wanted to talk about

There are nine essay writing methods which I learned while attending this course: exemplification, compare/contrast, cause and effect, proposal, narration, process, division/classification, definition, and argument. The only problems I encountered when trying to write the essays that were assigned to me by the instructor was finding suitable subject matter to write about. Once I found my topics for my essay, everything else became easier. I would first produce a rough draft and then the students, the instructor, and myself would go over them in class and decided if what I was writing was in its best form. Most of my rough drafts needed improvement, but if it didn't it wouldn't be a rough draft, so it was understood. My final drafts were very satisfying for me as well as the grades I received on them. Irony is the difference between what seems to be and what actually is. The definition of irony is a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result. There are many examples of irony in the story the night that I am about to tell you about there is verbal irony, situationally irony, and dramatic irony. My personal definition would not include "stuff" at all. No one will care (and neither will you) what kind of car your drove or how big your house was when you're on your deathbed. Your thoughts will not be about your job, the office or how much money you made.
Personal success is defined by how content and enjoyable your life is. That is not to say that challenges and disappointments aren't included in this. Past, present and future are all important to keep in perspective. Looking back and not having regrets is extremely satisfying. Your current situation and your contentment with it are also very important, and having goals and milestones to work toward in the future keeps you motivated and keeps life interesting and challenging.
In this age in which we live, success is generally measured by the amount of money you earn, or the amount of wealth or power or number of promotions you've accumulated. I find that the older I grow, the more I view the people who are most happy and content with their lives as the most successful. Rich, poor or in between, they've tended to treat life as a journey, not a final destination. They took that trip when they were 25 even though they really couldn't afford it, they ordered the $55 bottle of wine with their filet because they knew that even though it was expensive it would enhance the meal so much more than water would. They took a chance on a start–up company, moved to Europe or Asia and experienced things that most people only dream about. If they managed to grow wealthy from the experience, so much the better. As long as moderation with most things is practiced, things won't spin out of control.
Bottom line rules for a successful life: Always try new things. Listen twice as much as you talk.

Example Of A Single Story
"The single story creates stereotypes and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story." said Chimamanda Adichie in her TED talk speech seven years ago. She is spreading awareness about the value of working against spreading a single story in a culture and community. She is correct because people should not be influencing a single story to represent a whole community of many different stories. An example of a single story would be from a chapter from the book, "And the Earth Did Not Devour Him" by Tomas Rivera. In the chapter called "It's That It Hurts" on page 93 a young white boy stereotypes the Mexican boy by saying, "Hey Mex...I don't like Mexicans because
