A Broomall resident since the early 1960s, Steve attended Cardinal O’Hara High School and especially enjoyed the Bookkeeping course he took in his senior year. He took that as a sign he might like a career as an Accountant, so in college at St. Joseph’s University, he pursued and earned a B.S. in Accounting. His intuition was correct: He has been a CPA since 1977.

MSP Consulting Group also prepares and files Federal and State tax returns for businesses and individuals. To ensure those returns are accurate and take advantage of all eligible deductions, Steve’s firm also provides tax law advice and tax planning.

The third type of service MSP offers is management consulting and advisory services for businesses and individuals. Areas of expertise include selecting, setting up and training in accounting software, and computer systems hardware and networking. Steve also provides QuickBooks setup, training and ongoing bookkeeping services if needed. Steve’s many decades of industry experience have enabled him to build relationships with business associates who help him directly or indirectly provide his clients with whatever expert advice and solutions they need.

Steve has enjoyed his career as a CPA. He likes working directly with people and helping them keep their financial records in order. It puts a smile on his face when “the books” balance, everything ties out, and he provides his clients with everything they need.

Another thing that puts a smile on his face is our Friends & Neighbors magazine. Steve and his wife Nancy live in Broomall with their two Norwegian Elkhounds, Penny and Lucy. Their son, Adam, is a middle school teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. Steve was a member of the Marple Newtown Jaycees Chapter for 10 years. He’s currently a member and Vice-President of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, a group for CPAs who specialize in working with small businesses.
