Frequently Asked Makeup Questions We know makeup can be difficult. There are a lot of options and products and with all the tutorials, it can be hard to know which will work best for you. Here are some common questions we get about fixing your look!
Q: Why does my foundation look orange?
Q: Why does my eyeliner smudge?
A: Most undertones are either pink or yellow. If your foundation looks orange, you’re most likely using the wrong undertone. If you have yellowish skin and are using a foundation with a pink undertone, you’ll look orange. If you are on the more neutral or pink side and you use a foundation that is too golden, you’ll look orange.
A: When using pencil, cream or gel liners, any emollient products like under-eye concealer or excess cream can break down your liner, causing a smudge situation. The best way to prevent this is to set under-eye concealer with powder right away. Also make sure any eye cream is completely absorbed before applying eyeliner. Also, try setting your eyeliner with eyeshadow. This will reduce any transferring and will still give you a great color pop and avoid smudges.
Q: What is the difference between a strip lash and individual lashes? A: Strip lashes have a fuller, more dramatic look to them. As opposed to individual lashes, strip lashes come in a packaged strip, applied all at once. They are more affordable and are faster to apply than individual lashes, but have a tendency to look artificial. Individual lashes are applied one lash at a time, filling in natural eyelashes when needed to give a fuller appearance. They are more customizable for each person, and are better for those who want more of a subtle look.
Q: Should a bride wear strip lashes or individual lashes? A: A bride should wear individual lashes because you can customize them to the bride’s exact desired look. It can be very difficult to control the volume and look of strip lashes. With individual lashes, you can make the lashes more natural & subtle or you can build and make the lashes more dramatic and full!
