Child Safety Committee Update

The Child Safety Committee is in the final stages of revising Beth El’s Child Safety policy and plans to share it with the congregation in early 2023.

We are continuing our ongoing education around child safety. Members of the Committee, clergy and other Beth El staff recently participated in a training program, bringing together faith and child protection communities. We had the opportunity to participate in sessions around best practices in implementing child protection policies in faith communities, responding to the spiritual impact of child abuse, and learning about the role of religious institutions in addressing child maltreatment.
