Award Winning Video Treading the boards and winning awards A couple of months ago we featured an article about our talented drama students who wrote and performed a piece of educational theatre, tackling the issues surrounding alcohol misuse, not only that but they won an award for their performance which took place during Alcohol Awareness Week. The AMP website, (amp.uk.net) that represents the voice of young people in Tower Hamlets, were so impressed that they have posted a video online for you all to see - a link to which can be found on the school website. http://amp.uk.net/news/1377

Coughs and Sneezes Stop germs spreading

At this time of year there are always a lot of colds and flu symptoms, especially in schools. In an effort to look after the well-being of all students, parents and staff at BGTC we have actioned a few preventative measures this term. All tutor groups have been issued with anti-bacterial hand wipes and sanitiser dispensers are fitted on The Street. Please try to carry a tissue with you so that you can “Catch it. Bin it. Kill it.” as the posters tell us, and wash or sanitise your hands, especially before and after eating. For further advice on cold and flu symptoms, check the Department for Health website (http:// dh.gov.uk) or visit one of the many NHS walk-in centres in Tower Hamlets. Bless you!
