Flower Power of Business as a Therapist Being an independent SLT (or any other therapist) means that you have to think creatively whilst also making a viable business. As therapists we are good at thinking creatively to solve the needs of our clients but somehow ‘business’ and ‘money’ seem to be rude words . The colour-coded petals have been broken down into short questions to allow you to explore the different areas of your creativity, motivation and business. I would really recommend reading the book ‘ The Creative Entrepreneur ‘ by Lisa Sonora Beam. She explains these ideas beautifully in her book.

After reading a book called “ Your Best Year Yet� by Jinny Ditzler, I started thinking about how I should plan my year and celebrate my past achievements. Therefore, I would recommend that you take a few hours to reflect and write your thoughts and feelings down, as you consider these questions and exercises. Increasing your self esteem is easy. I think the key to all my success is seeing the vision. For example for the makeover of the lounge, I researched ideas, I plotted the resources needed , got in touch with the facilitators and booked them,,,,I was determined to see the end result. Plot your ideas in the table below.
