SUPER CAMP

Ages: 5-6 yrs Is your child ready to explore a new challenge? Amazing Mites campers will have the opportunity to build new friendships and create incredible memories through participation in an exciting camp filled with activities, games, sports, crafts, outdoor play, and spirit days.

Ages: 7-9 yrs Super campers will have the opportunity to build friendships and develop new skills through a variety of programs including: sports, technology, cooking, swimming, arts, games and skill development sessions hosted by instructors. Our Super Camp participants will have weekly outings to local and provincial parks as well as weekly swimming at Lindsay Recreation Complex.

X-TREME CAMP Ages: 10-12 yrs Challenge yourself to a new camp experience this year with new programs, exciting trips, guest speakers, swimming and a variety of new activities. The 2019 X-Treme Camp will provide an exciting and challenging experience for campers with opportunities to build new friendships, learn new skills and experience unique opportunities.

FUN IS FINDING A FRIEND! LEADER IN TRAINING (LIT) Ages: 14-17 yrs Cost: $45 Youth will gain a variety of leadership, communication, programming and life skills in a fun and exciting recreation environment. This opportunity allows youth to experience the fun of summer camp while taking on added responsibility to prepare them for a job. The expectation is that all L.I.T.’s will commit to a minimum of 4 weeks to work within the summer camp programs, during this time they can collect volunteer hours. Campers will be provided with Norco mountain bikes daily to learn new skills and explore the trails that the City of Kawartha Lakes has to offer. Throughout the camp week, our team will work with campers to learn biking skills, bike safety, navigating the roads, and how to fix and maintain their bike at home. Each day our team will provide the campers with the chance to hit the trails and participate in a variety of activities. Please bring a CSA helmet. Locations subject to change. Full week registration only!

TENNIS CAMP

$185 Designed for kids with no previous tennis experience, our Tennis Camp focuses on learning tennis through play, rather than the traditional lesson-based model. Using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets, and courts that can be used in non-traditional facilities, young players learn the fundamentals of the game early on.

ADVENTURE CAMP

$220 Time to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself to new experiences. Adventure camp will provide you with a variety of challenges and excitement including- Indoor Rock Climbing, Sailing at Sturgeon Sailing Club, and an exciting trip to Tree Top Trekking. No experience is require just a willingness to challenge yourself.

SOCCER CAMP

$185 Come join our NEW Soccer program including indoor and outdoor soccer training and new Fusal Soccer. Campers will have the opportunity to develop ball control, shoot, passing and goaltending skills through activities and small area games. Each day campers will have the chance to learn skills and apply those skills in gamelike situation facilitated by certified instructors. This program is open to all skill levels.

POWER SKATE N’ SWIM

$235 Campers will participate in power skating sessions that will improve their speed, power and edgework through a variety of on ice challenges taught by Elite Edges Hockey (www.EliteEdgesHockey.com). Beyond the ice, campers will complete Red Cross Swimming Lessons throughout the week at Forbert Pool and participate in a variety of activities.

DISCOVERY LAB CAMP

$220 Discovery Lab engages kids in science concepts through an interactive curriculum that connects science to real world contexts. The program focuses on hands-on experiments, increases understanding of scientific approaches, and creates opportunities for problem solving, idea refinement, and interactive learning. Our week will include a trip to the Ontario Science Centre.

BASKETBALL CAMP

$185 Spend the week learning from local coaches and athletes. Practice your skills through drills, activities and small area games. Campers will develop their shooting, passing, dribbling and game strategies. The end of the week will include an outdoor tournament for all participants to showcase their skills.

SWIM FIT CAMP

$215 Designed for the child that wants to get active and learn more about their health and wellness. Children will have the opportunity to participate in Red Cross Swimming Lessons, nutrition lessons as well as a variety of fitness classes including: Yoga, Zumba, track and field, sports as well as learn-to-run program. Children will be challenged to improve their overall health in a fun interactive environment.

KIDS TECH NATION CAMP

$185 Kids Tech Nation teaches children digital skills, coding concepts, internet safety, computational thinking, and robotics. The program also focuses on engaging young people in technology that may not have otherwise been exposed to Science Technology Engineering Math (S.T.E.M.) fields.

DANCE CAMP

$200 Spend an exciting week learning from a variety of great dance instructors including Jimmy Chapman- NRG Breakdancing and Spotlight Dance Studio. Campers will learn the latest moves in jazz, ballet, contemporary and hip hop. Dancers will become choreographers and performers as they prepare for our NEW and exciting family recital at the end of the week! All levels of experience are welcome.

GOLF CAMP

$185 Do you want to improve your game or just try it for the first time? Either way this camp will fit your needs. Campers will have three half day sessions with local golf pros to develop their play from the tee to the green. Campers will have one full day on course and be provided lunch on the Thursday. All skill levels are welcome and clubs will be provided for those in need. New this year all participants will receive a 2 for 1 pass to come back and play the course. This camp is FORE you!

ART CAMP

$200 Art camp provides a unique opportunity to try different types of art in a fun and creative way. Campers will use their imagination and creativity while utilizing paint, fabric, sketching, collaging, photography, and crafting skills. Campers will display their art in an Art show at the end of the week and then can take their designs home. Guest instructors will support campers each day to develop their unique designs.

BASEBALL CAMP & GIRLS AT BAT

$185 It’s time to step to the plate and become a five tool player. Our Baseball Camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills of playing baseball through individual, small group and team activities. New this year will be a “Girls At Bat” group that will receive special programming from the Toronto Blue Jays (Jays Care). This camp will include skill development, games, swimming as well as a trip to a Toronto Blue Jays game. All levels of experience are welcome.

FUN IS LEARNING A NEW SKILL! BRAIN GAIN N’ SWIM CAMP

$220 Great way to exercise your brain with fun activities, guest speakers, outings and exciting challenges. Every day campers will take part in numerous activities designed to strengthen their math, reading, and writing skills, along with problem solving and language acquisition. Instructors will deliver academic and physical activities throughout the camp day as well as daily Red Cross Swimming Lessons at Forbert Pool.

BIKE N’ SWIM CAMP

$215 What a great opportunity to participate in Red Cross Swimming Lessons and improve biking skills. Bikes are provided for daily camp use. Campers will learn about bike safety, bike maintenance and basic bike riding skills daily as well as participating in other camp activities. Campers will have the opportunity to ride on local community trails based on skill and abilities. Swim lessons will be led by Red Cross Certified Instructors.

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

$185 Be a triple threat on the stage! In this camp you can learn to sing, dance and act or tell jokes. Our Musical Theatre camp is designed to teach campers about performing arts with the goal of performing a variety show to end the week. This camp is a partnership with the Lindsay Little Theatre and will provide campers with the chance to work on props, set design and creating the full experience for the audience. This program will end with a performance for friends and family.

HOCKEY CAMP

$245 Campers will be challenged with 10 hours of on-ice instruction, dryland training, swimming, and exciting off ice games. Our program will be broken into 2 groups (Local League & Representative level) that will provide a challenge for all levels. Instruction will be provided by professional instructors that will challenge players to increase their speed, agility, edgework, puck control, shooting and overall knowledge of the game. This camp is a great way to get ready for the upcoming season!

KIDS FOOD NATION CAMP

$200 Kids Food Nation helps kids develop food skills through hands-on experiences related to planning, preparing, and cooking. The program also features an online hub with resources for healthy eating and meal preparation, and a national recipe competition that encourages kids to put their food literacy skills into practice and submit original, healthy, and nutritious recipes.

REGISTRATION Registration or cancellations must be made by noon the day prior to care. Flexibility within general camps allows you to choose the days you need. Full payment is required upon registration. Refunds are subject to 15% administration fee. We provide financial assistance to ensure that no child is turned away. Discount available for families with 3 or more children. Camps subject to availability.
