On the twentyLetter to Elders pm, fifteen minu officers along w out. I went to writing my lette it gave me the o and to hang out the letters. I use letters colorful. because it is an a too big, it can possibly make someone's day. Just a simple letter can really lift up a person's mood. This event is all about writing letters to the elders in our community. The purpose of this event is to show the elders that they matter, they are important and that they are loved.

Hello! This was my first garbage pick up event ever in Key Club and it was honestly. A fun experience although I hated waking up early it was not as bad as I thought. I learned that there is tons of garbage and trash throughout the parking lot even in the morning. Given this information made me want to not litter to help our environment. I even had a few friends that were in my group which made the event much better. Them being there made me want to do more garbage pick up events. After the first hour, it seemed like the one side of the parking lot was a victim of littering and garbage but, with the help of the other members we had cleaned up most of the parking lot area find a nearby trashcan which could fit all of while. Overall, being there with friends environment one trash at a time was a fun could be able to do it again. I am lucky to be who care and share the same exper

This August, I was able to participate in the Letters for Our Elders service event. When I first saw the event posted on our service Facebook page, I hastily made plans to clear my schedule. I was elated to see there was an opportunity to earn service hours while writing appreciation letters to our local elders in our community. I have always wanted to connect to my local elders, but never had the opportunity to do so. Looking to spread some joy and love, my friends and I joined several Key Club members to make our notes. Our letters were covered in bright colors and cute drawings: I saw cartoon characters, dainty flowers, and inspiring quotes. I drew Winnie the Pooh and pink flowers on my letters, each counting as one service hour. I shared my appreciation and funny puns in my writing. Not only did this service act as an opportunity for connecting with our elders, it was also a bonding experience. Laughter and gasps of awe filled the lunch tables as our Key Club members shared their letters. Members were able to poke fun at one another and collaborate on what to write. It was an ultimately enjoyable experience where members were able to share funny, heartwarming, and sentimental letters. I am glad I was able to take part in giving back to my community while having fun with my friends and earning service hours. This was by far one of my favorite service events!
