HOLOCAUST
Fact box over 1 million children died in the Holocaust
A mass murder The Holocaust was a time where many religious people were killed and tortured. It was a very sad time for all religions.
Life in concentration camp A concentration camp is a place that people were taken to either to be killed or worked to death. Either way most people did not make it out of a concentration camp. Most people died of exposure, exhaustion, sickness, or hunger. If to many people where in a concentration camp then the Nazis would put a certain amount of people in a gas chamber or a suocation chamber. If you were in a concentration camp you would have limited food which made you more apt to sickness. There were work camps where the Nazis took
the people believed to be the strongest in the camps to be worked to death. If you were at a work camp you would clean out the Nazis toilets as a privilege. People were transported between work camps every couple of months so that new people could be brought in and more people could be arrested and put to work. Most people that had been in a concentration camp for a long time where happy to be put in a chamber. Then they could be put out of there misery.
