GENERAL INFORMATION

Summer 2012: June 17 - September 1, 2012 Building Hours

Dear Friends, Summer brings us all a sort of relief doesn’t it? The kind of relief that says “I know the sun will be out today” and sets our mood at “happy” and, dare I say, “relaxed.” The tone at the MJCC this summer is a bit more relaxed too, if not just more FUN. MJCC day camps are bustling with children from all over the city of Portland and beyond who are swimming in the pools, playing on our fields and the sounds of their laughter ring throughout the building. Of course, adults at the J are having fun too! Drop in some night and play gym hockey or challenge your buddies to a racquetball tournament. A little competition is good for the soul and great for full-on belly laughs! Keep fit this summer with our new “Date Night” workouts for you and a partner, letting you burn calories rather than consume them, or try the new Cyclelates class which combines the intensity of a cycling class with the calm stretches and strengthening of Pilates. Swim lessons for kids and adult fitness classes continue through the summer, allowing you to keep up your routine and motivation. But if you prefer some quiet time in the shade, we’ve got that for you too. Grab a cold drink at the Cafe and settle into one of the chairs on the pool patio out back. I look forward to seeing you at the J this summer where warm smiles, a cool pool, and ice cold drinks await you. Stop in soon!

Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 10:00 pm Friday 6:00 am - 9:00 pm Saturday - Sunday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Fitness and Cardio Center and pools close 15 minutes prior to building closure.
