In fact, award-winning boating, recreation, year-round family programming, and outstanding dining venues have ranked Bay Harbor Yacht Club among the premier membership destinations in the country, attracting members from around the world. Lively gatherings on our beach, spirited get-togethers over sunset cocktails on the Quarter Deck patio, weekly games groups, impromptu reunions, a workout in our fitness center – each demonstrates the essence of who we are, and what we do. In recent months, we have embarked on an expansive project to refurbish and renovate the entire Club and add world-class amenities and premier services to create one of, it not the finest, clubs on the Great Lakes. Bay Harbor Yacht Club is the social center of the Bay Harbor community. Our year-round calendar of events is brimming with opportunities for our members, their families, and friends to gather at the Club, socialize, and create friendships guaranteed to span generations and stand the test of time. From galas, to dockside parties, casual and often spontaneous group dinners, premier wine tasting events, family holiday celebrations, and so much more, you’ll hear the sound of laughter and treasured memories in the making everywhere you go.
And there’s music in the air at Bay Harbor Yacht Club. Our annual Headline Concert series hosts world class talent in an intimate seating. Past performers include the legendary Sheryl Crow, Grammy winners Andy Grammer, Sarah Bareilles, and Colbie Caillet, and chart-topping The Band Perry. We’ll also be wowing the crowds with the sounds of Motown, Country, Jazz and more on Friday evenings on the Quarter Deck, Saturday afternoons at the Beach House, and during our annual Indie Music Festival in July. Complimentary kayaks, paddleboards and sailboats are available for members and their guests, supervised by certified lifeguards and our professional beach staff. Located adjacent to the Club’s new casual indoor restaurant, the Kid’s Club this is the place for junior members of all ages to call their own. They can kick back and relax with friends in a safe, protected and supervised area just a short distance from family.
The KID’S CLUB will feature games, crafts, playtime activities and storytelling for younger children, and a comfortable area for tweens and teens to build camaraderie and lifelong friendships. The KID’S CLUB will also be the headquarters for the Club’s Junior Programs and Activities Department, and year-round daycare services..
CLUB DINING DINE IN OR TAKE OUT FROM ANY VENUE Entertaining takes center stage at Bay Harbor Yacht Club, and for our members it begins with our three dining venues. THE BEACH HOUSE offers casual, beachfront dining and refreshing beverages including healthy salads, tacos, house made pizza, burgers, and other great items. Dine in, take out or enjoy from the serenity of your chaise lounge on the beach, boat, or favorite picnic spot. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day for lunch and dinner. THE QUARTER DECK provides alfresco dining overlooking Bay Harbor Lake and Little Traverse Bay. A warm evening, fine glass of wine and gorgeous outdoor setting make every visit one to remember. From light fare to a full dinner menu, you’ll find something to delight your senses at this waterfront gem. Get togethers at the Club are about to be more casual, sporty and fun with the addition of the Club’s much anticipated year round casual dining venue, THE GRILLE ROOM. This lively gathering spot will be the ideal place for date night, families, and sports fans. The broad menu will range from classics like hamburgers, handmade pizzas and wings to small plates, salads, seared ahi tuna and mouthwatering aged steaks, with an ever-changing list of craft beers, wines and innovative cocktails. Numerous flat screen TVs will broadcast daily live and on-demand sports programming. THE GRILLE ROOM’S seasonal covered terrace and location near the KID’S CLUB for juniors are among the many features guaranteed to make this a favorite destination!
Formerly the Bay Room, the upscale BAYVIEW ROOM restaurant will be the centerpiece of gourmet dining at Bay Harbor Yacht Club. Among the many outstanding features will be a seasonally inspired, chef-driven menu focused on the finest local ingredients, premier wines and specialty cocktails. While you wait to be seated, enjoy one of the Club’s signature beverages at the HARBOR VIEW LOUNGE featuring enchanting vistas of Lake Michigan. Other planned features include multiple fireplaces, covered outdoor seasonal dining, glass wine walls, and private dining areas for special occasions.

Nothing says summer like a day on our private sandy beach. Enjoy complimentary paddleboards, sailboats, kayaks and peddleboats. The Club’s swim platform is just a refreshing sprint from the chaise lounges, umbrellas, and children’s playground. Beach volleyball and daily beach activity programming are among the many other surprises you’ll find. The Beach House serves lunch and dinner daily during June, July and August. Light, bright and brimming with casual sophistication, it’s that ever-inviting, always welcoming spot for a relaxed and leisurely lunch, refreshing signature beverage, or quick bite between beach time - and more beach time. Opt for airy indoor dining or a table on the patio to take in views of Bay Harbor Lake and the magnficient vessels that fill our basin. Or simply wait for our Beach Concierge to take your order from the comfort and convenience of your spot on the shore.
Later in the day, join the ones you love for a walk along the Promenade and watch our sizzling sunsets set the sky aflame. Savor Bay Harbor around a crackling beach bonfire with family and friends. Once the sunsets, enjoy the convenience of heading home in an eco-friendly non-motorized GEM vehicle. You may catch the fleeting glimmer of a meteor shower, or the colorful splendor of the Northern Lights.
The Yacht Club’s stunning protected deepwater marina has over 100 slips, hosting a wide variety of sleek motor yachts and sailboats. Able to accommodate yachts up to 200 feet, the marina is the scene for exciting Club outings, parties and rendezvous with other yacht clubs throughout the season. Members can drive their electric GEM cars to the Promenade Dock and directly to their slips, where fun, socializing and adventures ensue. The Club’s active Cruise Group plans several overnight cruises each summer, along with frequent day trips. Serve up an ace with Bay Harbor Yacht Club’s newly expanded Racquet Sports Center featuring premier Pickleball, Tennis, Platform Tennis, and Bocce Ball facilities. PICKLEBALL: Whether you are a pickleball master, new to the game, or would love to start, Bay Harbor Yacht Club has three dedicated pickleball courts for your use, and a “courtload” of daily programs to keep you in the game. Pickleball is a fast-growing racquet sport for the entire family and we’ve made it easier than ever to enjoy by having equipment available in our Racquet Sports Center Office. BOCCE BALL: Bay Harbor Yacht Club’s new Bocce Court is now open and available for member use. Bocce is a game that can be played by almost anyone, and requires no training and very little physical activity. Complimentary instruction is available by our Racquet Sports Center staff for those who are new to the game. TENNIS: The Club’s outstanding USPTA professional teaching staff offers tennis programs for all ages and levels on our three Har Tru Clay courts.
