Bathhouse

The 19th century bathouse was refecting the functional needs of the current bathing culture. I aimed to reinvent it in order to compiment todays Balaton beach culture.

My building provides a spa excerience on open water. The bathhouse is a passive sauna, its operation is based on the greenhouse effect.

Infra rays heat up the UV-resistant polycarbonate box. Then the ventilation is provided by the window-like vents and the entrance door. The basin is encosing water from the lake, providing humidity.
