Santa’s Grand Entrance and Tree Lighting Ceremony Join Santa and Mrs. Claus for an evening of caroling, the tree lighting ceremony, and entertainment for an old-fashioned Christmas.
Endure the Bear Trail Run Starts in the Village and follows pristine National Forest trails on the south shore of Big Bear Lake. Includes 30K and 15K as well as a 5K Family Fun Run & Walk.
Mountain Christmas Boutique A unique high-country shopping experience with a holiday flair and 60-plus vendors from throughout the western U.S. selling handmade goods.

Big Bear Gourmet Food Truck & Micro-Brew Fest Those with a palette for gourmet-style food and quality beer can unite and discover new taste combinations with selections from 40 gourmet food trucks and micro-breweries.
Big Bear Summer Festival Two Valley Players presents a musical featuring a cornucopia of the greatest songs from Broadway. The festival also produces a drama and a comedy.
AUGUS T 4th Annual Blues for the Zoo Concert A special music event to help support Big Bear Alpine Zoo’s sanctuary, rehabilitation, and education programs. Tour de Big Bear Ride stunning 25, 50, 70, or 100-mile stages at 7,000‘ including portions of the 2012 Amgen Tour of California route.
Autumn Wine Walk Stroll from merchant to merchant, tasting selected wines. Hors d’oeuvres are served in most locations, and the evening is all about mingling with old friends and meeting new ones. Hot Dawgs and Handrails Bear Mountain’s annual winter kick-off party with snowboard competitions featuring 40 of the top jibbers competing for a $15,000 purse.
Christmas in the Village An old-fashioned Christmas gathering with strolling musicians, Victorianstyle carolers, children’s choirs, Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and, of course, Santa Claus. New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade Head to Snow Summit for the spectacular sight of skiers and snowboarders gliding down the mountain in a steady stream of torchlights. Later, join friends at either Snow Summit or Bear Mountain for a fun New Year’s Eve celebration.
OCTOBER
24th Annual Big Bear Fun Run More than 500 vintage autos, muscle cars, roadsters, hot rods, and customs for a Show and Shine event followed by a late afternoon cruise around the lake.
Oktoberfest Eins, zwei, drei, g‘suffa! Take a break from your responsibilities, lower your inhibitions, and surrender to the spirit of the annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest.
Renaissance Faire Meet the queen and her court; see jesters and jousters; enjoy a Renaissance -style feast; and shop for trinkets.
